    Cow moose moan sounds
Cow moose make the strangest moan sounds but this one? Wins the prize for overacting. Nice bull comes in and she winds up. Even her calf gets in the song when the bull comes around the corner and nearly steps on her. FUNNY stuff! This was an incredible rut pit experience with the calf right there in the midst of it all. Ya gotta love Mona! She will teach anyone how to moose call.
Watch the whole thing, she really gets going. Enjoy and if you like, please subscribe!

I think the calf was actually whining because the bull was coming around the corner and about to step on her. Then she went running over to mom. • @MooseManNaturePhotos

Good question. The bulls rake bushes and trees with their antlers and grunt to "call" the cows in. The cows make those moans to let the bull know if they are receptive or not. Those moans/calls from the cows can mean they are ready, or that they are not. The louder, the readier. Thanks for watching/asking.

The cow will whine like this while being pestered by a bull that doesn't interest her, she basically announces herself, which draws other bulls in. That's why the cow call... We don't call the bulls in. We want to live to see dinner!

I’m in Ontario and just packing up to go moose hunting, I be done some scouting and found two rut pits so I’ll hunt there but take my camera too, so yep, just something about moose, most elegant large animal.
