THIS AREA of EASTERN ST. THOMAS WAS RECENTLY STARTED IMPROVEMENT WORK!! SO NO STORM DRAINS , BRIDGES WERE BUILT!! SO FLOODINGS WERE EXPECTED!! EXCELLENT DRONE VIDEOS!! 👁️
It will be expensive but that are of Golden Grove needs an elevated road way for at least 4 miles and some drainage. The govermentment needs to invest into some wet/dry vaccum trucks.
Many of these roads needs to be raised or rerouted completely. Idk if the Govt/NEPA/ODPEM designates these areas as flood lands and construct roads to withstand or endure the cyclical flooding that these areas are known to endure. I do understand mother nature will work wonders but proper engineering of the islands infrastructure can reduce the severity of hurricane and torrential rain flooding impacts
I heard about it, I was to attend a birthday party there next week and it had to be canceled, everyone there is feeling it. So sad, but we are Jamaicans , we fall, and we get up.
I think that this area needs a Canal and a bridge ... that would channel the water towards a guided path that ultimately leads to a modern Water Processing Plant - supported by a bit of road raising in some areas. This fresh untapped water source could help to solve the huge water shortage situation experienced in the surrounding areas and new developments to come - simple solution. Just come up with a *strategy and some additional funding. Anything else could lead to a possible waste of resources in the long run - $$
Yes, the River need a path to travel we can't have a situation where the river just go wherever it please. This area is prime for development by a private developer who are willing to raise the land, redirect the river, provide drainage and sewage, and build some nice homes...
Here watching from Barbados🇧🇧
Your footage sir, is always superb. Thank you.
Thank you.

Back in my neck of the woods, thanks for sharing this roadway always flood since I was a child in the 60ts . I pray the Chinese can sort this out.
Since I was 10 this road been flooding just as badly. 3 decades later??? I hoping those building will build the roads with this flooding in mind.
Inappropriate music for such a serious, distressing topic and scenery. Excellent video, though.
What about the music was inappropriate? Your response will help in future videos.

You should see what Beryl did to St Elizabeth, everything is wrecked there and there’s no power😢

What kind of drone this ?
What is this place? Why are there no homes? Are those cane fields and a sugar factory?
You do have the Wheelerfield and the AMITY HALL community close by.
The roads needed to build higher because the water is coming from inland out to sea 🌊

That road need a steady wall next to the river to prevent the road from flooding the Chinese will see that now, the hurricane coming in the right time
