    I so wish even one of the stylists I have paid so much $$$$ to cared about my color results even half as much as you do for your client. Wow. Attention to detail is everything. Your results (and your care for your client's results) are beautiful.

      Karloffrules thank so much for noticing. And yes I do. We do this to make a living of coarse but when stylist are just out to make a buck it really saddens me. Clients give us their hard earned money and should get what they pay for. 😊However there are many many stylists that would take very good care of you. I recommend asking around. If you see a stranger who’s hair you love, stop them and ask who does their hair. I’ve gotten any clients that way!

    You're so clear and concise! This is one of the best edits I've ever seen as far as tutorials go. Great voice, not too pitchy, not too fast. Great video shooting, good lighting, right angles. I'm nerding out over here because I never wanted to skip through your video and I'm a habitual skipper.

    Beautiful! I love that you appreciate those clients who do not come in as often. I’m one of those people, and it was actually difficult to find a stylist that would continue to do the same quality work as the first couple sessions. Luckily I found a good one, and I’ve been with her for around 6 years now. I can’t tell you how much it’s appreciated, really.

    This was a long, detailed video, and much appreciated, as I feel that sometimes stylists just go way too fast thru their techniques, and it negates the entire reason for the video. So, again... thank you, and a job well done indeed!!👍👍

      Jessica Linda Ruina grey question. I’ll start out with a lower developer and always start in the back. As I get to the front I bump the developer up. Generally that helps with playing catch. However if by the time you have finished placing all your fools by that back is don’t now, you can easily pull the back foils and rinse while you wait for the rents to finish. 😉

    I get a full foil just on partial hair with just a few in bottom of hair so I can get as many foils as possible packed into the top. I still don't think it's enough foils. Is there a different technic i can ask for to get more foils or what can I say to get a heavy amt of blond in my hair. In my profile pic I did it myself now it's not as blond on top and I want it more blond. Thanks for your time.

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  4 роки тому +1

      You could possible ask for slices or back to back weaved foils.If your not getting as blonde as you like you may need to get a global application to satisfy your blonde cravings lol.

    Do you have a video where you do color and highlights at the same time... I have a lot of clients who want to cover grey...I never can get my highlights as close in this one client because I’m doing an all over color too... do you recommend to do separately? Or how can I get the highlights to look seamless?

      Paractice practice practice! The consistency of the lightener determines a lot. I still measure my lightener that way I know exactly what ratio to get the thickness I want. And not moving foils around after you’ve folded them makes a big difference also. Thanks for your comment!

    How do you not get bleeding at the roots with h/l product placed so close to the root and pulling the foil down as you paint and the bleach is placed outside of the package? 😬

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  2 роки тому

      I’m not understanding what you mean when you say pulling foils down or outside of the package. Foils stay where I put them. And I only apply the lightener to the foil. I mix my lightener to a certain consistency. And the brand I use doesn’t swell which makes a huge difference.

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  6 років тому +2

      Nea April you need contrast. The only way to get that is by making those highlights brighter or adding depth to the other hair. If you don’t want to add lowlights you can go in between the foils with a glaze to add depth. 😊

    I'm so slow! I take like 3 hours to do highlights! idk what I can do to speed up but I'm so slow. my clients are always so happy but I'd like to not be so slow....

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  6 років тому +2

      danni pink I’m sure you’ll pick up your speed. As long as your clients are good with it, the quality of work just always be most important. But I would suggest getting a mannequin head and conditioner for practicing speed. And little things like not setting the clip back and forth from the head to your station or making the perfect partings.

    • @cinnamoroll100
      @cinnamoroll100 6 років тому +3

      It’ll take time. What you can do is start foil on your mannequin and time your self. Make note of it, foil again and set a goal to beat the previous time. In no time, you are going to be quick!

    • @bb89670
      @bb89670 6 років тому +1

      I'm not that slow, it's the client's hair that takes forever to process. I have one client with thick hair, who wants a lot of highlights. I have to use more foils on her every time, it has to be detailed. That takes longer, usually it takes 3 to 4 hours.

    I don’t really understand the shadow root why do people want it?

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  6 років тому +4

      Kelsie thurman there are many reason. For my heavy blondes they like the blend they get as the new growth begins to come in. It also makes the natural hair color and the blonde merger together seamlessly. It can also look more natural since if the hair were to lighten from say the sun, the color would be lighter towards the ends and not uniform from root to ends. I feel it makes all over blondes look less “80’s home bleach blonde”. 😊

    How do you know there is iron in the hair?

    • @CourtneyBStylisteducation
      @CourtneyBStylisteducation  6 років тому +2

      Jami Martensen iron makes the hair brassy or an orangey dull color. And can also feel like it’s dry or a build up. We know in our area where there are problems with iron in he water. And when I give them a Malibu’s Crystal gel treatment, when the gel is squeezed out before I rinse the gel is orangerusty color also.
