Ha Tim that was funny Thanks for the video and your dog is beautiful I have a question about bees. I cought my first swarm the 19 of this month it was mine. from my hive. I have never worked with a swarm before. so I do not know what to expect but I assume it is like getting a package of bees. But at least I did catch it. now they are side by side I kept her closed up for 3 days for fear of them just swarming again. I opened them up, and now and they are bringing in pollen and the mother hive is as well I have not been in either hive since they swarmd because it has been to cold or its been raining. because they are bringing in pollen does that mean both hives have a laying queens and 2nd question how long should I Waite till I do go in to check them Thanks, and again the video was great. Please be safe with this virus out there.
Yes, it is very much like a package of bees. It's good they are bringing pollen but that's no proof of a laying queen. I need to make a video on the mother hive after it has swarmed. Let's not look in the swarm too fast because you wouldn't be able to do anything fast anyway. If you saw eggs , it would make you feel good. Give them at least a week or peak in there week and a half. Glad you caught them and I know that made you feel real good........stay in touch......tim
@@DurhamHumor Ha Tim Thanks I went into the mother hive of the swarm this weekend they swarmed the 19 Tim this is what I found, I found supper cedar cells and swarming cells , so I split them I have never seen a hive with both can u tell me what is going on. this is what I did I left 1 supper cedar cell in the mother hive and did a split using 1 swarm cell in the split. I destroyed all the rest of the cells any ideas they must be real healthy. I know this there is a lot of bees. I hope they do not swarm again I am 2 old for the tree. Thanks and stay safe
