The most notorious Jaws rip off is Orca, it’s pretty tasteless and how it got away with a PG rating is beyond me. A pretty dark Jaws rip off, but with a killer whale. It’s also a revenge story and someone once called it Death Fish
A friend of mine met Richard Harris and told him he liked Orca. He was apparently a few sheets to the wind, go figure, and went on a drunken rant about how Dino DeLaurentiis ruined it and turned it into an angry animal movie. He said there was a longer version that made the movie deeper and if that version was released Orca would be better remembered today and on and on. Frankly I don’t see how an extra half hour would have made that movie any better but always found that story amusing
So funny how unassuming you were about the presence of sharks on a lake and just wrote it off as "regular lake stuff" haha I might check this one out, if only for the "we're gonna need a bigger cross" scene.
Great White is a really funny Jaws rip off that’s been laughed at on Rifftrax and several UA-cam reactions, think you’ll get a kick out of that one too.
Great review of this so bad it's bad flick!. There's so many questions one can ask when watching this, like why can you hear the cameraman breathing heavily in some scenes?. What was the point of the creep with the camera near the end?. He took those pics, wandered off and, well that was it!. Why were there so many Dutch angles throughout this entire movie?. How can a huge shark attack people in 3 feet of water and not be seen?. I also loved the fact that they filed at an actual fair but the background noise was so loud that they had to put music over it as the mic couldn't pick up any dialogue, Lol. There is another (not sure if I've mentioned it) called Jurassic Shark. It's as bad, if not worse than this so you'll need a heavy alcohol intake if you ever want to tackle that one. If you're looking for a good movie that rarely gets talked about then try The Legacy (1978) starring Katharine Ross and Sam Elliott.
This movie is a WTF litmus test. The fact that missed that someone was swimming with socks on will haunt me to this day. The fact that I've heard of Jurassic Shark is nuts. I'd also like to recommend Sharkensas Prison Massacre. Yes that is a movie that exists. Also glad you liked the review!!!!
This movie is several WTFs per mile and when was this movie released? Would you want to watch and review Night of the Lepus? It is a funny bad movie filmed in Arizona back in the 1980's.
What would make this movie more insane if the plot twist would be that Neil Breen was the shark all along.
My god you're brilliant.

So fun fact that's what I am covering next.
It traumatized me as a kid
Dat Richard Harris, tho

Best Jaws rip off is probably the original Piranha from 1978, Tentacles has interesting stuff in it
Omg loved that. Saw it in theaters with a Q&A with Joe Dante. The production sounded nuts.
Joe’s cool people and it’s Spielberg’s favorite Jaws clone. Universal wanted to sue and Spielberg told them no leave it alone, it’s a spoof, it’s okay
Alligator is good too, Crocodile is totally hilarious
Great to see you this Thursday/Friday eve
You too!
😅hilarious looking movie
It's a gem.

Thank goodness.

I mean they do exist....lake sharks are a genuine phenomenon in Nicaragua and Louisiana lakes. Thanks Google!
@@GirlBehindTheCounter Touché!

Funny enough someone else recommended I see that movie too.
For good reason, it’s really funny

@@GirlBehindTheCounter I've not heard of Sharkensas Prison Massacre so thanks for the heads up, I'll add it to the list of WTF stuff to watch.
This was brutal to watch while sober. I commend you for making that shlock of a film even remotely entertaining 😆
Thank you. The 5 dollar vodka really helped. This is why I do this once a month.
