As an Ace person, I’ve realized how much in common Ace people and Bi people have. Awkward hand gestures, being told they don’t exist, being told they are just confused, and the purple in the flag is a good compliment of the other flag :D I love ya my Bi pals!!

Since ace people have equal attraction to all sexes, some have argued that we're technically bi. I have also noticed a certain other group with a disproportionate number of asexuals, bisexuals, and non-binary people, and I'm half convinced that said group literally just does not have a natural concept of gender.
As an ace person, I respect and support the bi/ace purple swap. It fits better on both flags

I had this argument with this gay guy once because he told me I was straight since I was dating a guy. I asked him if he was seeing anyone and he said no. "So you're straight since you're not with a guy" He shut up after that.

Genuine question because I feel like most people would find the man in this scenario to be in the wrong for judging his partner's sexual history and find it creepy that he only wants to be with "untouched women."
Like obviously you can refuse to date/have sex with anyone, I'd never say that someone should be forced into a relationship they don't want to be in. But that kind of judgement comes across as really weird and toxic.

I think it's absolutely amazing how well Asexuals and Bisexuals seem to get along. When you think about it, they have a lot in common. being told they don’t exist, being told they are just confused, Awkward hand gestures and getting rejected because of their sexuality are examples.

@@mr.cheese3924 I’m assuming slightly, because this is not a label I use personally, (I prefer to dual-wield Biromantic and Demisexual) but I think it means that you are attracted to genders similar to and different from your own (Bi(sexual/romantic)) but only experience sexual attraction/arousal to specific people who you know well and are close to (Demisexual).
@@mr.cheese3924 Well demisexuality is when you feel sexually attracted to someone you've known for a long time but can't really feel sexually attracted to say strangers or people you don't really know. You could be in a romantic relationship but not find yourself sexually attracted to your partner for months to years depending on the person.
I consider myself demisexual as I find myself only attracted to people I've known for years , I have also dated and felt attracted to both cis women and men so I see myself as bisexual too.
So to summarize I basically just combined both of Bisexual and Demisexual.

Stepping in to say that November is absolutely the Glutton month. December is Greed. January is Sloth. February is Lust. July is Wrath. Unfortunately the Council is still trying to figure out when Envy Month should be, as we seem to be unable to reach a collective decision on this.
August should be Envy mouth because it's the hottest month and everyone's at the beach and I am envious of all the hot people who are confident enough to where swimsuits in public.
I'm thinking October for envy month. Envy does often lead to gluttony and greed, which tracks somehow in my head. Also that way if you are green with envy it's just a costume accessory.
October tracks for envy cus' there are enough people who are envious during Halloween, either cus' they couldn't participate, their costumes aren't as cool-looking as others or work won't give them the night off.

I end up calling myself gay/on the verge of being a lesbian just so people know that I really am queer and not just doing it for male attention. I always subconsciously think that I'm not a "good bisexual" whenever i'm attracted to guys.
I mean, you'd be a horrible lesbian, if you occasionally (or often, doesn't matter) were attracted to men, but you're doing bi perfectly right with that. ^^
I grew up being a bi woman (never confused about the bi part) and then figured out that I am in fact a man. Still just as bi, of course.
Now people who tried to invalidate my sexuality, because I'm married to a man and "must be straight and just wanting to be sPeCiAl" are a bit... confused, since my straight relationship now is pretty gay. xD

I remember going through the whole bi erasure thing in my twenties. It was so bad that I let myself think "Yeah, I'm just a straight girl that wants a special label" for years. Eventually I found a better group of people to be around and came out again. I struggled with coming to terms with being non-binary, but I remembered my experiences from my twenties and went "Y'know what? Screw that!" and I was happy.
It saddens me to think that we're in 2022 and some people still have that kind of attitude about bisexuals. But I'm hoping there's more support now than ever, and everyone can find a community that will build them up. Take a tip from a 40+ bi person: you are what you say you are. Don't spend years hurting yourself because you don't meet someone else's criteria.

This was literally me for 7 years. I was just like “screw it! I’m bi! It’s amazing, idc how uncomfortable you are with me existing.” I recently discovered I’m pan. But I would use pan and bi interchangeably
@@check2765 Once I learned of pansexuality I started to use that, and now I use both. Which one I use depends on who I'm talking to, because some define each one pretty rigidly. Language can evolve pretty quickly, so I don't mind editing my language as time goes on. I'm also fully in support of phases and changing sexuality, and as few/many labels as a person wants because honestly it's not hard to accept that some people just want that for themselves.

It took me 10 years to figure out I was nonbinary and I have people I never plan to tell. I've known I was gay for about 11 years and I still haven't told my dad and never plan to because he doesn't deserve to know that about me. Whatever is right for you is what's important.

I remember growing up with a crush on both of my best friends; a girl named Autumn and a boy named Cody. I always kept this to myself of course, as Cody passed in the beginning of high school due to taking his own life, and I didn't think Autumn swung that way. I finally got the courage to tell her a month ago and she asked why I didn't tell her-!
At age 9, I was told by ADULTS that being gay is wrong, not taught about it, felt so alone.
As someone with two girls in a relationship for imaginary friends who were happy together, I wondered how something so wholesome,happy could possibly be "evil" or "wrong".
I'm much happier now that I'm able to admit freely I find both your dad and your mother very appealing.

I have a friend (they/she) who is pansexual, and has mostly LGBTQ+ friends. They starting dating a guy, and all of their friend group made fun of her for it. When they dated girls or enbies, their friends were happy for them, but whenever they had a boyfriend, their whole friend group was mad about it. That was coming from *other bisexual people.*
It’s hypocritical for us to say “love is love” and “gender doesn’t matter” and then get upset when a bisexual person dates someone of the opposite gender (or anyone regardless of sexuality or gender.)
Damn. I think, and hope, that generally, people will get better at understanding things over the years. Maybe people will be more open to learning new things as time goes on, people get more access to information they didn't know before, people become more self-aware, people live long enough to not care enough anymore, and/or we just all learn when to leave people be. Both people who are and are not a part of the community.
Lol, once upon a time it was socially recommended to avoid certain topics in social circumstances...sex, politics, religion, within one's personal preferences/proclivities/positions. Dang, seems to me our society as a whole has decided collectively to come out of the proverbial closet. Since there's still so much erasure going on with these especially, i wanted to show the people in my school who would potentially see it that all of these identities are valid and that there are people who accept them. pansexuality and bisexuality often get confused and said to be the same thing, so by using both i wanted to clear that up. Bierasia is so real ☹️ I told my husband once that I was a type of minority due to me being bisexual and a witch and he looked at me incredulously "you aren't a minority you're white"... Idk if he knows what discrimination I have to face, he has seen some of it from his own mom since I'm a witch. But he doesn't understand how hard it is. Example, my grandmother called my friend sexually confused, because he is a trans man dating a trans man with a kid. And I cut her off and told her then I'm sexually confused. And she responded "no you aren't, you're a girl and married to a man" and ouch.. why did that hurt. And so I said "being married to a man doesn't change the fact I still like girls". I got the bi/ace purple swap on my dash and I absolutely loved it. The de-saturated bi flag purple fits well, or at least better, with the grey of the ace flag. As someone with a dual-citizenship I vote to keep this change.
