Also I know they “buffed” them while replacing the Vilkas, and upbattlerating the puma into versing top tier russian tanks that it can’t pen from the side. Buffed 🙃
It could be much better if the Spikes would actually work. For now it's best used as SPAA, as the Spikes perform quite well against any aircraft because they pull alot of Gs for whatever reason.
@@generalgreninjaandknockout4182 the Spikes are pretty bad and inconsistent. The 30mm isn't supposed to fight MBTs. It's actually quite reliable against any light tank, though the damage is pretty low against anything else tbh.
If you have it, the T55E1 (4.3 USA event premium) just got a lot more fun to play thanks to getting it's real steering mechanism, which let's it turn much faster and tighter as well as hold speed in turns better. The little moon rover is a blast to play.
2 things. 1. Welcome to KF41 life(now imagine if you had 2 out of 3 crew in turret like KF41 has@ making it even worse). AND 2. neiher germanny OR Itali has a 10.7 lineup for this tank, making it even worse imo. I donno what gaijin was thinking with the spike versions of the puma, its really over bréd, or spikes needs a buff vs tanks + spike amount/ammo count needs buffed badly for how bad and inconsistant they are atm(they seem to do fine vs helli´s tho, is my experience).
They should give 8 spikes at puma and namer like the freccia. Also Imo they should give couple of extra magazines for the 30mm at the namer because Its cringe to lose all the rounds in 1 hit. It only has 200 rounds all together. Now many of you are complaining about the PUMA, because it has no damage even for the 30mm. Now imagine with only 200 rounds, and if they hit it, you are going to remain with 0 rounds and couple of spikes
Looks like it suffers from the same thing the Vilkas does. The Spikes are worse than the TOW missles, and the gun doesn't do damage sometimes even when you have a side shot.
I am not sure if they fixed it yet bet when you get ammo racked in the puma it blows up your tracks like 1:25 of the video. I heard that even if they shoot out your rocket launcher the same can happen.
The worst thing about this POS is getting double tracked when someone hits the turret. wt actual f. Also, getting ammo racked, takes out the ammo down in the hull??? omfg
when shooting the missile you are suposed to look up and fire it is the only ifv with spike that actualy aims with the atgm case so the missile actualy gets the top down fire efect you can destroy tanks easily then imo, but you need distance tho
1:22 HE ? I usually load HE as a reflex whenever theres a 2s38-type/only-turret-visible tank in a hulldown. edit: maybe a puma specific ammo rack + destroy track bug (?)

So ATGMs and other guided missiles are useless at close range and Gaijin forces you into close range in 90% of the maps. Great game design. Why put all this work into making vehicles authentic if the enviroments they fight in are the diret opposite?
the puma is not terible but the spike is trash and thx for spike puma get +0.7 br....and no understand puma why have an enormus turet ring model is a very big disavantage....+ the puma and 1-2 vehicle have compled modeled the modules... others have full empty spaces.... this not fair my opinion....+ the puma have now a BIG BUG u get a turret shot and ammo explode all track dagamed and gone...
Spikes were supposed to be anti tank missiles but in war thunder they’re basically flying pool noodles.
I have more kills on helis with spikes than normal hits on light tanks

But they are slow, a plane will lose them if it is not a frontal launch.

Fun fact. The APFSDS should have 150mm of pen at 1000m, but in game it has 121mm of pen at point blank

Its happening to me with the Namer 30. Also sometimes if they hit the ammo, the explosion destroy the 2 spikes in the launcher as well, and vice versa

It's infinitely better when you're at an elevated position at minimum 400 meters away. It's exactly the same as the previous Spikes on other vehicles.
So it looks like the best way to guarantee a kill with the spikes is to do a tandem spike launch.

Pretty much all of these IFV without a proper armored turret have ammo rack that blows up super easily.
At least the CTWV is super mobile and allow you to do crazy flank... but yea the puma is sad, any bushmaster only vehicles are sad honestly
