I really hope the new album sticks with the heavier version of Novelists. I really liked “Noir”, but it just didn’t impact me like “Souvenirs” did. So, this track is very exciting to hear! Really looking forward to the new album now!
Noir showed off mateos vocals. Souvenirs showed off their skills as a band. I hope they incorporate both. Because monochrome is one of absolute all time favorite songs. No matter the band. Also lu apel divide or however the hell you spell it. Lol.

@@jacobantony1040 I grew up in the 80s. At 50 years old, I truly believe that this is the Golden Age of Metal. So much range, so much to choose from, so many different perspectives on what metal means, what it should sound like. I've never heard a band in my life that I have enjoyed as much as Novelists, and I grew up on a steady diet of Rush, Metallica, Maiden, Slayer, Testament, and other assorted minor bands.
These guys do it right. From the ambiance to the epic scale of their recordings, they nail it on every count. And there's that guitar... In comes Florestan. The guy is a genius, pure and simple.

Damn! These guys always set the bar high ever since the first EP. The riffs, complexity, melodies, the vocals are always awesome on their albums 👏🏼

I prefer the older stuff. Twenty years will always be my favourite song by them.
Both of their melodic & heavy stuff were of quality. Never disappointed.
If you guys like their older stuff, they used to be a band called A Call To Sincerity. Their album Foundations actually has a song called The Novelists on it.

@@BungSmuggler both albums are incredible. Souvenirs shows off their skills as a band and is heavier. Noir shows off mateos incredible vocals and is a bit softer. You'll love them both equally as much.
