As someone who’s run 2:33 for the marathon it’s mind blowing to me that blummenfelt can run close to that at his weight, let alone after cycling 112miles. Jeez.
Ads both on AND in the video😅sooo you first have to look at two of UA-cams ads, then when you think you could watch the race NOPE another 1,5-2 min of ads😂and so it goes every five min🙈this could easy be a 30 min video if you just look att the actual content. Sorry, but this has gone down several levels compared to previous years.
A side from winning the men’s race Kristian Blu also called the podium prediction him in 1st Gustav 2nd Sanders 3rd Crazy! Great race for everyone there that day!
Congratulations athletes!! To those who finished, and those who had the guts to toe the start line!!! That needs to be said as Ironman is no easy task no matter the course, some more challenging than others, but the distances are still daunting, painful, and completely worth it!!! :) They need to move this back to Kona pronto, back to NBC, and let's consider hiring the former Champions back to cover like they did with the 30th anniversary!!! Come on, I know the brand sold, the metals and apparel are all generic now, but the quality coverage is also slacking, all for around double the price I paid for the 4 I completed when Ford was the sponsor!!!!! Let's make Ironman special again, not sound like a nature documentary where crocadiles are lurking in the amazon waiting to strike an unsuspecting zebra. The overkill drama of the narrator is WAAAAAY too much!!!! And what's with all the damn adds littered everywhere, then add the UA-cam adds and I nearly gave up watching. Sheesh!!!
I want to watch this but the narrating styles is so drammmmaaaaa oriented. Just announce it, it's already an amazing sport. You don't need to make it sound like a hunting show.
Each to their own, but I’d definitely prefer to see the best fighting the best. Some inspirational age groupers in on the ballot for sure, but they won’t be blazing any athletic trails.
Makes me miss the amazing NBC productions in the IM World Champs from the 90's.

Pretty poorly done. You spent like 3 minutes on the overall age groupers and had probably 15 minutes of ads.
