Well done Stereo Steve! I knew you’d come up with some good ones! Man Ive seen people show Graham Parsons version of Love Hurts and I showed Nazareth but I have not seen the Everly’s version shown Well played! Why couldn’t the Smiths have done more songs like How Soon is Now? That song is a jam! But the rest…meh. Love Hall & Oates! Great soul group! My friend in Austin ran into Oates recently and posted a selfie with him on IG! Great pick for the country question with Winn Stewart you don’t see that one very often! Magnolia was a great choice! This was a great Sad Bastard tag You nailed it and I knew you would have some interesting things to say about sadness No matter how I’m seen on Cosmic Vinyl, I am literally sad every day at some point or another I’ve been sad all my life as far back as I can remember Oh well Thanks for humoring me Steve! Great choices! Cool shout out too! I love Martin’s Channel! Peace ✌️👽
I did not know that ‘love hurts’ was a cover song, I don’t how I never noticed before. The blue things!!! Not listened to them in ages and will need to seek them out. Thanks for the tag, going through my records now to see if I can do this tag justice ✌️
I have 4 Smith albums but I can’t name a single song from them, maybe I should listen to them more but maybe they make me too sad lol. Nice response, I have been trying to work on this , maybe I will get it done.
Steve! Thanks for playing along man. A few people have mentioned Love Hurts, but glad you mentioned the Everly Bros version. Blood on the Tracks is maybe the ultimate break-up album. Man! I had to put on my mind shields for that intermission! 🍭 😎 😵💫 I chose Magnolia too. It’s one of my favorite films. A PTA masterpiece. Katrina and the Waves have been a popular choice for the last prompt. Nice High Fidelity edit. Great response! Cheers, brother! ✌🏻
Hey man. I immediately thought about that scene in High Fidelity when i saw this thread. I think they were spinning Belle & Sebastian when Jack Black's character walked in. I thought my coffee was dosed during your intermission segment. Trip out! Nice choices. Peace.
Yeah they were chilling to Belle and Sebastian and Jack Black cuts it off and puts on Walking On Sunshine and turns it all the way up. Such a good movie.
That's super cool you got a shout out from the Cosmic One to do this video Stereo Steve! Loved the video brother! I love the use of I'm walking on sunshine in American Psycho! Peace and love! :)
B! Glad to see ya here in Stereo999 comments section! I love Steve’s channel and have followed for some time I consider Steve among my best VC friends! His videos have inspired me in lots of ways! Seeya B! ✌️👽
@cosmicvinyl2937 Wazz up Brian? Awesome to see you hear in Stereo Steve's comment section brother! I too love Steve's channel and Mr gopher and butterfly haha.. Thanks for saying hello my friend! Also thanks again for your EPIC video too you guys are killing it! Peace and love! :)💗✨💫🛸🖖
@ I think early on they were a cover band. When they started doing original material it was New Wave. I know their first album, Walking On Sunshine, was only released in Canada. Then the title track blew up.
Hail Arius top answer on Smith's Q! ;D I still go w/ "What She Said" for fave & fun to play. And I'm laughing becuz I had such a big idea that people might be tired of whiny white boy music Nonetheless, I did include one # I titled F University and/but E for explicit lyrics haha. Qualifies for sure #bonustrack ua-cam.com/video/XHosBTjcoAc/v-deo.htmlsi=M2wtO7gUxPVakx6S Never heard Walking On Sunshine on KUSF LOLOL omg hahaha Cheers! ~R
@@RobleyD we were playing Walking on Sunshine off the import album before it was released in America and became a hit. Thus I was already sick of it when most folks were hearing it for the first time 😂
I think Dust In The Wind has religious roots. I’ll never smile again is a sad bastard song. Talk Talk Talk is my favorite Psychedelic Furs album. I know the Nazareth dong Love Hurts. I have never heard the Everly Brothers version. 70s Hall and Oates is better than 80s Hall snd Oates. I don’t think Country is corny. At least no more than any other genre. GO DODGERS

Katrina made millions from that song. Good for her.
Weren’t Katrina & the Waves originally more like a punk band when they started out? 🤔

@@vinylrichie007 I meant some songs can seem corny. I didn't mean to imply that the entire genre was corny.
