Ashlyn: "Let's be real, Brian is playing all of our decks in his brain." Best line of the episode, truer words have never been spoken, made me LOL! Great episode!
I think you're missing Ashlyn's line at 1:00:29 of "You seemed to be very well versed in the miracle". This is huge as Brian famously lost an epic match long ago off of a "heart of the cards" Miracle burn spell.
31:25 For the record, Brian is 100% right here. People consistently overreact to direct damage/life loss effects because it "feels bad." It's like how people irrationally hate when a creature gets countered more than if it gets destroyed, never mind the fact that unless it had an etb effect or death trigger, the results are exactly the same. At the table, he was the ONLY player not playing things for free every single turn. He was not even slightly the threat, as evidenced perfectly by Ify's next turn, and Olivia's turn after.
This is probably the 4th game in a row where Olivia just puts out these weird vibes and acts like she doesn't want to be there, much less play Magic at all lol. I love them and this channel, but I really think swapping seat order every now and then will help line out the awkward and salty mood they keep building up.
@@Joshbobjovi Yeah, sometimes her reaction to perfectly valid and correct things Brian says are kinda ... toxic, i guess? Like calm down, he said correct things, you just dont want them to be correct ...

We know, but Olivia is toxic and obnoxious and has the emotional maturity of a toddler and the need to always be right, especially over Brian. Loved the ep, love the show as a whole, but really : please try ordering differently so you can get different gameplay and both breath a little xD
Too true. I get it's their format, but it always leads to Brian being seen as the threat no matter what he does because Olivia is right after him and she constantly tells the table about how much of a problem he is while getting moody the moment anyone rightfully calls out her stuff.
You know what, I never considered that. Game Knights and most of the other shows I watch are usually swapped around each episode for that very reason. Always playing after Kyle Hill could definitely sour your attitude about him being "the problem." Change it up. Upvote that.
@@williamedge5130 And to make things even more confusing, sometimes turning things over *is* entering, when it's the exile-and-return form of it with double-faced cards.
Additionally, Trail of Mystery was incorrectly triggered. The land should not have been fetched. Yeah, it happens, new decks, tons of triggers. For those judging power, that turn should not have gone as hard as it did.
33:10 Turning things face up does NOT trigger the ETB of a card that was face down. That card is meant to either be played from hand, exile, or graveyard to get the maximum benefit!

Further for new players! Anytime you have a card that already exists on the battlefield, if something changes where it’s at, it will also not trigger an etb. For example, if you have Shifting Woodland become a copy of something like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, the Merchant’s ETB doesn’t happen because the woodland already ETB’d before. Same goes for copy stuffs that copy as an activated ability, instead it would have to state the thing that can copy, copies when it ETB’s!

@@brandondee123 Commander being a social game, having a player get moody like Olivia, having tantrums an a massive attitude problem leads to players targetting other stuff just so the awkwardness of the tantrum can stop.
32:40 this whole sequence was misplayed. When the interpreter entered it was a land, so he returns it, and manifests dread, which will trigger zimone again, but since the original trigger is still on the stack it will be the first time it has resolved, making him manifest dread again, putting his 2nd landfall trigger on the stack which should let him flip up one of the manifests, but They came from the pipes entered as a face down creature, so its ETB DOES NOT HAPPEN
Also later on the turn they all forget that Ify's 1st spell was the Interpreter. Too many triggers to navigate with almost every card directly involved being brand new. It happens.
@Rococorico after finishing the video, that whole deck was misplayed, he had manifested the mosswart bridge, and flipped it immediately and then Brian reminded him of it, but it shouldn't have exiled anything.
32:53 "When you turn a face down creature face up, it isn't entering the battlefield again. It was already on the battlefield, just with different characteristics.", assuming there is nothing in else play causing it to trigger anyway and assuming 'enters' means 'enters the battlefield'.
Enters DOES mean "enters the battlefield." That's not an assumption, it's explicitly part of the rules of magic the gathering. "Enters" is just updated card text in the same way that "mana value" means "converted mana cost". They just shortened it to save on printing costs.
Also I think there shouldn’t be landfall triggers on the manifested creatures because it’s only for “nontoken creatures”. Manifests are creature tokens.

Chris cold has some of the most amazing art. The second i saw Valgavoth i had to look him up and his art station does not disappoint. There is some stunningly awesome art over there.
Just a wee note: Diabolic Vision isn’t a new card, it’s a reprint from way back in Ice Age! I’m partial to the original art but it’s nice to see it get a reprint.
Would have also loved to see Ladee Danger piloting that Golgari deck, its been a long time. Good to see Ashlen too though!
That was a. Great game!!! Great work with the precons ❤
I am the archenemy in my playgroup a lot, too. I'm very excited to have the cards to go with it now at least. 😈 Great video and thanks for the preview of the decks, everyone!
Just here to say I freaking love Olivia and Brian and their dynamic. ❤
I pre ordered the Miracle Worker Pre Con Deck, I am so excited for it ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Brian playing the the group slug commander is so on themed!
All of these decks seem quite strong for out of the box precons. My favourites are probably the Landfall and the Valgavoth decks. I might buy both later. Even if I already do have an Abzan Landfall deck LOL
Great vid as always! Ify is great!
Literally obsessed with Kibler wearing a damn tunic with a hoodie covered in Nordic knotwork. He just threw that on? He's too damn cool
Ify is chill af love it
Really enjoyed that game, can't wait to play these decks
Brian: *Breathes*
Oliva: "Now this is an avengers level threat"
27:35 Ashaya had just been played during his previous turn, so Ashaya should have had summoning sickness, not being able to tap for mana to activate Shigeki
Trust me that's the least worrying misplay iffy made
His entire turn at 32:00 made me cringe with how many illegal rule breaks he did
@lordpepper6932 lol thats my other comment that points out all the illegal stuff he did
@@noonecanjointhis yeah thos was a rough episode
Correct me if I'm wrong, Ify activated Ashaya as a land at 26:55 while it still has summoning sickness, the turn rotation wasn't over
He also got a multiple etb’s from flipping a permanent at 32:56
@@burnsboy101 true, doesn't work like that, manifest stuff is not leaving the battlefield in the process of flipping
I picked up on both of these. I always assume if Brian doesn't comment that I must be mistaken 😅
@@Urathamax Brian is a real cool guy, but even his kind is not safe from mistakes XD
Brian I understand your pain, people immediately kill my sheoldred deck for doing 2 damage a turn to them, meanwhile the guy with Xenagos wins because they didn't care about his extra combat steps where he was doing 30-64 damage. That was okay for everyone lol
The apocalypse? The deck notorious for killing people very fast? Yeah... i cant imagine why they do that. XD
I miss Ashlen! She always brings such good vibes!
So great seeing Will.I.Am being massive into MTG these days 😮🎉❤
"you didn't let me finish you just kept going" oh I feel bad for you Olivia 😂😂😂❤ man I love the vibes and commentary yall bring. It's fun finding the un sexual things and thinking of them that way and making them even funnier 😂😂 great job! Love the content love the channel, keep it up ❤❤
Ify and Ashlen both always have such great energy
Came to see if a specific deck would win (not saying which to not spoil the vid). Was not disappointed.
Within the span of 2 turns i saw 3 insane reprints. These decklists are cracked.
i preordered the jumpscare deck after seeing Aisy getting a reprint but seeing it in action i'm so hype
00:03 Lol, Olivia lovingly stopping Brian from flicking his cards...
SO HAPPY to see ify again
I’ve seen two videos of these predons. I initially wanted group slug but the simic deck actually seems fun
