I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether or not you agree with my breakdown of Framework as a company below! 👇 Also the Framework 16 won one of Time's best inventions of the year for consumer electronics and it hasn't even come out yet! time.com/collection/best-inventions-2023/ Fun Fact: Today I learned I went to the same school as Nirav 🙂
They did the thing. they have a outlet store now. And looking at the outlet could actually afford one of the slightly defective models. This is super exciting.
I would love to see a video on the fairphone project, especially since the fairphone 5 looks like a massive leap from previous devices. Love your takes on these projects, much more than other content creators covering the same topics. Keep it up 👍
Will do! Appreciate the kind words. I just peeped the Fairphone website and noticed that they have 🎧 called the fairbuds XL, that could definitely be a gamechanger too. I have a e-paper note taker called the supernote Nomad that just arrived and they made it all modular too, very cool to see 👀
@@VladimirKostek Looking forward to seeing those videos too then ! Never really considered an e-paper tablet until I watched your videos, now its all I want..
@@ryanbarbier1422 yea supernote is def ahead of the curve on that one. I did a livestream with @KitBetts-Masters on his Channel where we talk about e-paper and framework/laptop stuff if you wanna check that out. I'm planning on hosting my first own livestream in the next week talking about framework 16 production updates.
*I always loved Framework but even after being active for about 3+ years still it's not available in the most populated country is a disappointment for me. I know because India's import laws are strict for promoting "Made in India" I hope they find a way to manufacture their products in India. Only biggest problem is India is very very price sensitive market, so if their products are not launched at very reasonable prices, they may fal here. All the best tho.*
The Framework has the potential to create my ideal laptop - compact, light, with a good battery, and yet so powerful! Right now, I'm on the Asus Rog X13 for both personal tasks and gaming. Though, I've got my eye on the new Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio. Great video as usual! By the way, at 9:38, what kind of engineering did you mention?
@@VladimirKostek Thanks for the response! The X13 has been serving me well. And yes, the Surface Studio does look impressive. I'm actually an Information System graduate, not Mechanical Engineering, but I've always been fascinated by the engineering side of things. Keep up the good work with your videos!
@@Crosyph Thanks for the kind words man 🙂Curious do you use any of the ROG flow docks for yours? IS is a cool major as well, I had a few friends who did that in University!
@VladimirKostek You're likely referring to the XG Mobile. I've always wanted it, but couldn't justify the price since I already have a gaming PC. I might get it later if I find a good deal.
That's a great idea, I preordered my 16 so perhaps I could do a comparison vid when I get it. I think I know someone who can loan me an M3 when the time comes! You are right two very different ideologies. Let me know specifically what aspects of the two laptops you would like to see. I can think of a bunch but would be helpful to hear what my viewers would like to see 👀
I think it's pretty cool, love that it has a mechanical keyboard. I'm not in love woth the small screen size for productivity and some of the components are a little underpowered but very cool nonetheless. I feel like it's a bit more polished than the Novena was. What are your thoughts?
Framework is very pro Linux, Nirav mentioned they have to have a pre-built with windows as that is the most commonplace OS and what most users will choose
I love the Framework laptop and it is my recommendation for any of my friends for windows laptop. But to be honest they are the worst in terms of shipping speeds. 1 year and still no sign for my order.
@@VladimirKostek The spacers on the top deck are separate units would be cool to see the top or bottom half be a solid full unit for a cleaner more rigid top deck or at the very least have a 2 slot spacer that can go ont he right or left. Im not sure if my point came across but i think there's alot you can do with the top deck.

So far the signs are looking pretty dang good!
Indeed, I'm happy with my pre-order👍 Putting out another video regarding that today !

Yea I got that email update too, so cool!
Appreciation post for the “moment of silence” 😂
Haha
Great video. Big hopes for the 16 and framework
Likewise :) just updated my 16" order today to add some more goodies!

I somehow knew even before framework announced their first product that they will succeed.
Ayy good foresight!
Epic😁
They will be epic!

I didn't know about that interesting to hear. Hopefully they can work something out with Indian customs!
who knew protectionism stifles innovation, no one could have known this
But, I already have those features in my Dell Precision Mobile Workstation and it runs Linux Kodachi....
Linux support has been quite positive on the 13 so i'm sure the 16 will be even better! How do you like your precision workstation?

I can totally envision creating a dual-screen laptop similar to the Asus Zenbook Duo. But maybe that's a dream for the distant future.
X13 is a nice little laptop. That new surface studio looks great too! Mechanical Engineer, are you as well?

I need an M3 MacBook vs Framework review both 16 premium devices with completely opposite approaches

Power efficiency would be on the top of my list, all AMD advantage vs Mac's ARM
@@VladimirKostekI wonder if strix point with its 16 corse and 40 gpu cores is what will lay a smack down on m3

You got a 13? Same they are at the top of my reccomendation list
As long as it will reach to 3rd world countries, yes they would be.
They have expanded their shipping locations very rapidly so hopefully you are right!
I bought one! I hope they succeed!!!
Hell yea! Which model? I've been testing the 16 for a few months now
Im super excited about this laptop. I hope they make solid modules for the top part if you want to have a cenetered trackpad with no line
