It was a privilege to share in worship with you today. Thank you to all who make it possible! And I think live chat ended too soon to thank Alan for a magnifent Te Deum!! Mega Thanks to him and the choir for all the spectacular music today. PTL.
Couldn't agree more! As an undergraduate at Columbia, I attended many services at Riverside during Dr. Campbell's tenure, and then again during the mid-70's and early '80's while Dr. Coffin and Fred Swann were a perfect pairing. The music at today's service--especially the Brahms--reminded me of those glorious services, bound together by great preaching and great music. I hope Riverside can move backward, a bit, to embrace that incomparable tradition. Alan Montgomery's hymn-playing, accompaniments, and virtuosic "Te Deum" postlude make me think that Riverside may be on the right track. Riverside has to be at the head of the pack...outstanding in every way.
May the peace of the Lord be with you all🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
