Hi Team streak, Many times the SL of 20% premium will hit even in small movement and the market will be still within the breakeven range of Stradle. So instead of the 20% SL can we make a condition that the trades will get auto exit after index reaches the breakeven points of stradle. Waiting for your response on this.
Currently, SLTP can be placed only on the instrument traded. Feature to place SLTP on the index is currently not supported in Streak. We have taken a note of your requirment and passed it to the team to look into it.
hi , we do not support auto trade feature based on regulatory guidelines. Once your input conditions are true, you get an actionable trigger notification. You need to click on it to place your order.
Nice explanation and sharing your knowledge, thanks 🙏 In short straddle, can we put two additional exit conditions. 1. If the stoploss hits on one leg, other legs stoploss should change to selling price automatically. (So that the max loss is restricted to 20% of one leg only) 2. If the profit reaches to certain amount say, ₹2000 or₹ 5000. Kindly explain 🙏
Thank you for the feedback. Here are the responses to your queries. 1. No, currently this is not possible 2. This feature is under development and would be available soon
Greetings, Streak is a self-help platform on which you can code your strategies/scanner and backtest the strategies and deploy the strategies in live or paper trades. As you log in to Streak, Streak Dashboard has "Discover Strategies" and "Discover Scanners" section in which you can find more than 200 strategies/scanners sorted based on the trading styles and methodology. You can change the necessary parameters or use them without changes as well. The strategies and scanners provided in our platform are for educational purposes only and shouldn't be treated as recommendations.
Why my backtest result showing result as N/A, i tried short straddle with candle time(minuteofcandle) equal to 9.20, as i want strategy to enter the trade at 9.21. what am i doing wrong?
Hi Ashish, Please write to support@streak.tech with the strategy link, so that we can analyze the issue and assist you better. You can use the instructions in the below link to generate your strategy link blog.streak.tech/help/how-to-share-a-strategy/
Hi, you can refer to the strategies listed in the Discover section, where multiple strategies are listed and choose a strategy on the basis of backtest result.
Hi, there are indicators like low, high, close and open. What's the indicator for running price. I want to to execute some strategy when price crosses a trigger point so this could be anytime during the day and not just at the open or close of any candle. Can you help?
Streak generates alert on the basis of OHLC data and and not LTP. Hence you get Open High Low and Close option only while creating the strategy. Triggers on the basis of LTP is currently not supported in the platform.
sir agar ham dynamic contrect co deploy kar dete he to sistem apne app strike price choose kar lega . my second question is this option buyer 1 lot ke ley kam se kam kitna margan cheye ?
Hi Satbir, 1. Dynamic contract will chose the strike price in live market and backtest on the basis of DYC setting you set. Refer to this link: 2. For 1 lot option buying you need to have a minimum margin of (contract price x lot size) + potential loss. So for example the price of the option is 35 then, (35x50) + loss you are willing to take to be safe.
As per the regulatory guidelines by SEBI, Streak does not provide fully automated order placement. However, we do provide one-click actionable notifications when your strategy conditions are met. If you click on the buy/sell notification, it’ll immediately place your order.
You can refer to the video here for ORB, refer to the link below and you can also access the sample strategy in the description of the video below ua-cam.com/video/tn1E-OmH4Wk/v-deo.html In general you can simply use the condition "Close(0) crosses above Opening Range(High, 5 min). For any further queries, please do write back to support@streak.tech
Please check the backtest period as well. The result will be the same for the same condition/parameters on the same period. In case there is any discrepancy, please write to support@streak.tech and we will assist you.
You can check the PCR per strike by using the SYMBOL function. Please write to support@streak.tech in case you need any assistance with this. However, PCR as a parameter is not currently supported.
Thanks for the informative video. 1 Lot of nifty(CE + PE) would be more than 1Lac around 1.2lac for ATM. One Big disadvantage of streak which is stopping me from using it is: the maximum backtest period is 90 days from the start date for 15 min, 10min, 5min candle intervals
I do not think your system works as expected, it gives different P&L figure when I use the same capital as yours. And its P&L changes when we change the capital. Why it should change when we set the Quantity as 10 lots ?
If you are referring to the initial capital, it changes because Streak calculates position on the basis of price of the instrument and not the margin. Streak does not consider margin while backtesting. For example if the price of the instrument is 18050 and you have set the lot size as 10, a minimum margin of 18050x lot size x 10 would be required to be set as initial capital to enter the trade. If the initial capital is lower, then the trade is skipped in the backtest and the result will also change. In case of further queries, please write to support@streak.tech and we shall assist you.
Are you sure this stratergy works? Why can't you run this with multiple lot and become billinare instead of selling this product for subscription? Just curious to know
Hey Aravin, Which specific startegy are you reffering to? There are two of them. Here in the video backtest results are displayed. These backtests are run on actual Historical data so it actually replicate the performance of the strategy in historical market situation. So, based on the results, the strategy is generating profit. Of course, you can run paper trades to check its performance in the Live market. Also, the strategy performance shown here is with 10 Lots and the product is not the strategy here but rather the backtesting platform. So, you should check your strategy order logs and run it for paper trading before deploying it with your capital.

Hi, there is a limitation on the maximum number (quantity) of contracts that a market participant can buy or sell in a single order. It is known as the 'Quantity Freeze Limit'. The Quantity freeze limit is set by NSE and it is common across all brokers.
kindly note that Backtest results are hypothetical results generated based on the conditions used on historical data, and don't represent actual returns or future returns.

This is how it will happen. After a strategy's Entry, it will wait for an Exit. After the Exit takes place, it will again re-enter.
High IV is preferred.
