I would’ve asked for ideas for groundwork for young gaited horses just before they’re old enough to ride! My TWH already has a whopper of a pace (😕), and I wonder if there are things I can do to help him gait properly. Ground poles?
A dear friend had a lisp: As a child, he pronounced his Ss with a th sound. It was cute when he was young. He went on to become a lawyer. In his speech therapy class were others who needed training to place the tongue in the right place to pronounce Ls and Rs. They were all from Texas and made good grades in school. There is an old bromide about Northeasterners who save their Rs and use them on other words such as Idear, instead of idea. As to riding mules, David Borntreger won a multi-state mule training championship in Terrell Texas in 2018. Located in western Kentucky, he has a Facebook page and his mules seem to be priced below what they are much further East and much further West. Check him out. He won the competition and was riding the unbroke mule by noon on the first day without even putting a saddle or bridle on it.
