Often the equipment was on the roof of the supermarket so the van had ladders on top. The vehicle is too tall says the HOA. So he found another job and the van was gone. Post Office will not deliver mail to private communities that have private roads... at least where I live. School buses won't go into private communities either so all the kids have to be at the entrance or the parents have to drive them to school. This is why you sometimes see those banks and banks of mail lock boxes at some communities entrances. I suspect that if the mail was being delivered here that it's just a butthurt mail driver that is the reason they won't deliver now. But I wouldn't blame them if it adds miles to the route!

Your first mistake was buying a house in a HOA... however, get neighbors together and remove the gate. Continue to remove it until they stop putting it back up.

Sue them for 100 Million for denying basic city ,county and government and emergency services you pay for in taxes and have a right to forcing them to go bankrupt and out of business .
Go out there in the middle of the night & remove the gate & haul it off . That's what I did twice when they chained off a road . & I now have 2 30 Ft chains .
And if its a concrete jersey barrier. rent (or buy) a fork lift that powerful enough to lift them, then remove them by putting them on a truck and haul them away.

My friends door need to be sanded and restained.. yup fine. certain flowers out front.. fine... backyards with gardens.. fine... bushes too tall.. you get it fine fine fine! That's why I drive 105 miles every day commuting. It only takes me 50 minutes each way and I got to raise all three of my kids with small town values. They ALL got to play varsity sports (when there's only 25 in your class, everybody plays) and I live four miles from our town of 1450 people. My wife has taught first grade there for 41 years. It has been a perfect life for us. Yes there are trade-offs (40 miles to a real grocery store or real shopping) but the peace and quiet is well worth it. Tex

due to the fact that they are cutting off emergency responders, the entire hoa could face up to and including $5000 in fines each from the city and state. and that is 2 fines per person one from state and one from city. this can and should continue monthly in till the obstruction is removed.

for one the street is a public street.even though it's in a housing addition. that gate stays in place that makes the EMS,Fire or police go long way around to me the group in the front could be responsible for some one property to get destroyed by a fire or some one could get shot or have a heart attack. you might have to get enough people in your area go to a city council meeting and file a complaint about it. or take it to court.

In my state, if they block off a road with a gate, they MUST provide emergency services the code or key to provide direct access the area. There are ways to destroy gates, I suggest getting an angle grinder. Cut the gate into 4 inch pieces and leave it in a pile.
