- On my bike, I crossed the whole capital of Denmark, searching for these mesmerizing bakeries and their baked goods. In this vlog, I’m sharing some of the most iconic bakeries in Copenhagen. You will see what Danes put on their displays and what sort of flavour they combine. It was so fun indeed to try something new!
There are many bakeries to visit, but given the time I had - that’s all what I managed to squeeze into my stay there.

I have no idea how Kris managed to visit these amazing bakeries which each feature such wonderful selection of cakes and bread and then walk away with only one or two items! Iron will power! I would buy everything! lol
Hey! Hahah i wish I could try everything but after trying so many bakeries my stomach sets limits haha! However, it was so so good everything what i tried, would come back there just to have another pastry and stare at the beautiful nature 🫠 thanks for watching!
The most important tool in Copenhagen is the bike for sure! Incredible shots, bakeries and amazing city. My favourite though.. the ice cream 🍦🤪

I had never eaten cardamon before my first trip to Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki in 1986 (I'm from the San Francisco area). The first time I tried a cardamon bun, it was the best thing I'd ever eaten, and it's still in my top 10 worldwide.

I clearly need to start making an effort to tour bakeries in Copenhagen. Sea Buckthorn icecream is just the best - that slight bitterness with mixed in with the sweetness usually present in icecream just makes it perfect.
Totally agree! That flavour ice cream was really a discovery for me. To be honest, I’m willing to come back to Copenhagen, just do another round of touring😁

I went to Copenhagen for working holidays so I am still based elsewhere, however, i just find work experiences in different countries/cities and go for it. Kind of nice to be a student all the time :))

The Danes do not come even close to French boulangeries in terms of quality, price and tradition. One can still buy a world class baguette for 1.5 euros.
I must say that I really like Danish style pastries and bread, i loved seeing bakers choosing a harder way to laminate pastries just because they wanted to use a specific local butter which has a beautiful taste. Or local flour which sometimes can be harder to work with a croissant dough. Those little examples impressed me! For visitors, - yes it’s expensive, but isn’t it in line with Danish living cost?
French pastries will always be there on top, as well as boulangeries. Would always come back to Paris or Copenhagen just to enjoy food 😊🫠
