Disease: 1) Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM); 2) Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM), a Congenital Developmental Disease of Rare Incidence and of Autosomal Dominant Inheritance (Aetiology: Genetic Mutation of Chromosome 6 Encoding Sarcomere Apparatus); 3) Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM); and 4) Restrictive Cardiomyopathy (RCM). the murmur of the HOCM is best heard over the right upper sternal border over the second intercostal space not the left. am i not right?

Why aortic stenosis murmur best heard over right sternal border (aortic valve is on the left side why it is not heard over left side)

the valvular disease lecture says nood of prophylactic antibiotic for hocm and he its mentioned prophylactic antibiotics are needed? can u explain?
