As a semi truck operator, I really appreciate you and these type’s of video’s. I’ve eaten like a king on the road by making meals like these. Out of the 3, I like the breakfast the best and the twice bake potatoes. As the weather turns colder in Minnesota, it’s great to have delicious meals like these everyday. Thank you so much Kristen. I’ve told you before I love your videos…they always make me feel happy…but I’m writing from California and if those were the prices here, I’d be even happier 😃…try tripling them even in Walmart…still, those potatoes may make a bunch of people very happy Christmas dinner…have a wonderful Christmas season and be safe out there 🥰🥰🥰

Alternative to him and broccoli casserole. One box Great value deluxe mac and cheese, one package broccoli, and your leftover ham. Cook mac and cheese according to package directions, same with broccoli, then combine with ham, and you have a full meal for approximately $3
I've spent my entire lockdown watching this channel. Maybe this will be a turning point in my luck. Love the aesthetics of the channel and thanks for the giveaway.
I live in Canada so these will never be $5 casseroles, which is no biggie for me. That said, these look fantastic. I'll be making the Broccoli Ham Breakfast Bake. The Twice Baked Potato Casserole looked great. Will be scaling down both for my family of 2 or portioning them out once cooked and freeze for future meals.
Kristin, Rada Knives have a lifetime warranty. They are really reasonable. You can order them on line. Love them. I am enjoying your channel very much.
I love these 5 dollar videos! I learn so much. I'll be standing in front of the Chicken Breast at Walmart and they want 8 or 9 bucks! I'm like, "are we running out of chicken in this world?! What's going on??!!" Thank you for the video and giving me new ideas on how to save money!!
Recently, I learned that Walmart doesn’t make any money on the rotisserie chicken. They cook it to make people hungry. Every time I run in for something I grab a chicken. I have frozen them whole, deboned all of it, deboned all but the breast. We eat it as a meat with sides or in casseroles. That’s been my favorite new way to use chicken. I think they’re like $6.00 and we can get 2 meals out of one.
@@mastiffmom2592 that is what I do with Costco rotisserie chicken. They are $4.99 and I get at least 5, clean them up and j the freezer they go. Use them for chicken pot pie, enchiladas, salads. Perfect! Costco chicken are way bigger and juicer than Walmart chicken
@ Neal Smith Buy chicken thighs they are a lot cheaper than breasts and don't dry out like they do. If you have Kroger's in your city, they have chicken on sale a lot more than Walmart does.
Not only is cheese less expensive by the pound or block… the pre-shredded cheese is coated with preservatives which prevent clumping but also keeps it from melting as well. It is a personal trade-off ❤️
Cusinart knives are amazing! I've worked as a chef and will take those over my crazy expensive set any day! And they're colorful and fun! You can get a set of 6 for less than $50!
Well, I personally think you did a great job!! My Mister is the pickiest eater on the planet, so there’s no cheap eating over here, however, I thought all 3 looked delicious, and all things that I’d definitely eat. He actually would eat the potatoes! We only have twice baked with Crab Legs, and I always buy them from the meat counter at the store. So maybe I could cut this down and just whip it up as a smaller casserole for two. :))
Knives: get Cuto knives. They're sold online now (back in the day it was door-to-door salesmen). My mom bought hers when she got married in 1970 (yes, 51 years now) and sends them for sharpening about every 5-10 years, and I bought mine before I got married 18 years ago. They're a bit expensive intiially, but you'll NEVER have to buy another knife again! They're amazing. The only aditional knife I buy is a Pampered Chef bread knife, but I have to replace it every 5 or 6 years, but I do love it.
Those. Casseroles look so yummy! I enjoy watching videos for budget meals. I have always tried to watch how much I spend on food. I believe you can eat well and healthy while watching how much you spend. I have used Rada knives for so many years I could not begin to hues. They are absolutely the best knives. I have ever used. I have a very nice (and expensive) knife set that I rarely use. RADA knives are very sharp and very easy to sharpen when needed, which is not often. By the way I do not work for Rada. I buy my knives from Mennonite stores or their site and a few from Amazon. They are made in the USA! Just thought I would share
Love the French toast bake, I've done something similar in the past that I've let sit overnight with more liquid. I've added apples to it and blueberries to it and works out great, if you like a little bit of savory with it you can add some crumbled up cook sausage. I remember one place where I worked every morning same guy would come in and order a stack of blueberry pancakes with sausage cooked in it. You can make it more of a stuffed French toast type Vibe If instead of the frosting you use more cream cheese with some sugar and vanilla added to it and spread that on the bread between. I like the idea of the casserole with the broccoli but I think I would switch it to spinach or kale, just because I prefer broccoli without cheese unless it's a really really good broccoli cheese soup and a bread bowl. I make something similar in a pan on the stove as well, I add a whole bunch of veggies to it. It's something my Italian Grandpa called scrambola, essentially you are making scrambled eggs but with bread added to it so it's almost like a Savory French toast. Love the mashed potato bake, I would also add some green onions. But you can get away with adding some veggies to it like broccoli or spinach as long as you got that cheese on it most kids an older brothers that don't like vegetables without cheese LOL will eat it, just think of all the classic twice-baked potato fillings. An awesome thing about all of these is you can assemble them ahead of time and put them in the fridge, or do what I used to do and make a whole bunch of freezer meals with them. My ex-husband hated wasting lunchtime in line to get food so he always took a lunch that I made, and my daughter hated school food so she took lunch that I made.
You asked for a suggestion on good knives... not sure if these are the ones you are using or not, but my favorite are Cuisinart knives. You can get a set of them on Amazon for like $15! These are the only knives I have used easily with fish and cutting thru the fish skin! Thanks for the amazing videos! Keep them coming!
