in the end of soviet era Viktor was a great phenomenon as well as his band "Kino". His songs and music made revolution in souls of Russia's people ( I wonder why his songs were not successful in the west). I remember that as it is now. That was something incredible.

I would of loved it to, but from what ive seen he wasn’t well versed in English nor am I in Russian, but seeing some interviews with him not wanting to do tours in the west do to language barriers and him believing nobody would cared was actually a depressing thing to see.
Tzoi is talking about being out of place on a film festival (like a sore thumb) and his girlfriend calls most of the competing films "father's movies" bc they are of "the old order." They feel that film "Igla" ("Needle") where Tsoi played the main character is also very much out of place there because it doesn't follow a traditional narrative and the story is told through series of visual images... They mention another film (a second "sore thumb"), that Victor liked, called "Gospodin Oformitel'" ("Mister Decorator") saying that the old generation would not know how to react to such storytelling. At the end of the interview they discuss film "Assa," where Tsoi feels he was also out of place and was inserted into the story artificially. He is happy however that his scenes are at the end and seem quite independent from the rest of the movie. Also, the 10,000 people background audience in the scene was gathered through announcement that VT was giving a free concert in Moscow...
This reporter is actually well known. As far as I can tell, Viktor and Marina are relaxing in the sun... and this guy FORCES his way into their day... and DEMANDS a long interview. All kinds of people HARASS Viktor every day. Viktor just wants this guy to fuck off. But Marina choses to be polite.

Damn, I really wish I could of met Victor. I barely am good enough to speak Russian, but would of loved to meet him. I listened to a interview of him saying that he wouldn’t like going to other countries because nobody would want to listen to him or music that was in another language, but I only wish he knew how wrong he was. Despite Kino being probably overrated in Eastern European countries and Russian culture. I think it’s different over here in the States and countries where he’s not as well known. I only wish he lived long enough t see it. Especially for his wife and Son’s sake. Tragically I will never have the opportunity to do so since he passed 13 years before I was even born.
This interview seemed so awkward. Like why did that interviewer had to be right behind him in his personal space. Idk seemed bit forced even it almost looks like he was casually enjoying a ciggie and the they came along lol
@Bmgwak12 Yes thank you. I know that. I guess I should've worded that differently. I meant that maybe I'll see him when I "go", as in when I die. That was supposed to have a spiritual meaning, but nevermind I guess. 0_o
I don't understand Russian but I know some FACTS:
1 - Viktor was an amazing poet and musician
2 - He was handsome :)
3 - He was assassinated by KGB
