It’s unfortunate that it came down to Gary’s kids hating him. My husband works a lot and I always have to remind our children that daddy has to work. I have to tell them that we will starve without daddy’s money. I even make it a point to say “you wouldn’t have been able to get that toy without daddy working so make sure you greet him with hugs and kisses when he comes to the door”.
