ABOUT NAKSHATRAS:
'Vedic' astrology has a complex system of stars aka 'nakshatras' or 'lunar mansions' working behind the scenes of the 'rashis' that are further related to 'deities' and 'mantras' found in the 'Vedas'.
In this series, I will briefly discuss the energy of each 'nakshatra' every day, following the Moon through his journey across the sky around the Earth.
In each video I will talk briefly about the 'nakshatra', its energy, its significance and also how planetary placements here influence your life and what they guide is towards.
This video is about the nakshatra of 'Purvabhadrapada' which is the 25th 'nakshatra' out of a total of 27 and what its energy is like.
ABOUT PURVABHADRAPADA NAKSHATRA:
The pair of Purva and Uttara Bhadrapada are both ruled by the energies of one of the 11 'Rudras'. Purvabhadrapada is ruled by 'Aja Ek Pada' who in a very simplified interpretation represents thunder. The totem animal is the lion or 'Simha'. The 'shakti' here is the power to bring about speedy spiritual awakening.
First of all, let's understand that 'Bhadrapada' means:
'Bhadra' literally means 'auspicious' or that who brings welfare.
'Bhadrapada' is the 6th month in the Vedic calendar.
So both the nakshatras in this pair seek to bring about welfare or auspiciousness but in their own respective fashions.
The 'Purva' section as in the earlier part of 'Bhadrapada' covered in 'Purvabhadrapa' is a more active 'yang' energy that seeks to bring about auspiciousness to the collective by exerting its will, bringing about change and 'causing' change.
This is the more active one of the two 'nakshatras' in this pair.
Ruled by the deity 'Aja Ek Pada', who is one of the 11 'Rudras', this 'nakshatra' encapsulates a lot of power within it.
Now, in terms of raw power, both 'Moola' and 'Ardra' are highly powerful in their energies.
However both those lunar mansions can cause a lot of sorrow and struggle in the life of the native who has either of them (or both) prominent.
It's interesting to note that 'Ardra' is ruled by 'Rudra' himself but the energy is not as well managed as it is here in the 'Bhadrapadas'. Over there, the energy is still in its nascent stage and requires the native to go through a few cycles of death and rebirth in order to learn how to wield them.
In the 'Bhadrapadas' esp. 'Purvabhadrapada, the energy of the 'Rudras' are more benevolent to the native albeit with the condition that they use them for the benefit of others.
If the native mistakes the power 'loaned' to their physical manifestation in this lifetime to have any other purpose other than 'helping' the collective, their life and the trajectory of their dreams can very quickly go South.

Purvabhadrapada Moon here with ascendant in Jyestha. Philanthropy, research, and inconsistency due to a seemingly slightly overactive crown chakra, always searching, thinking, and reading about multiple concepts at a time.

I have moon in purvabhadrapada in 5th with Saturns aspect on it from the 3rd…moon is with Rahu but Rahu is in satabisha…and what you said about Saturn in purvabhadrapada sounded helpful for me-is there any overlap with realizing where to go through tragedy and struggle?

My Venus and moon are in punarvasu and in Gemini.. my ascendant and Mercury are also in Gemini which again is ruled by Jupiter.. my Jupiter is in 9th house in both birth and navamsha and I’m a woman..
