And who will they choose? The completely normal Liz Truss: ua-cam.com/video/pxkBdcWfUfc/v-deo.html
I think you mean Dizzy Lizzy 🤣🤣🤣
Lizzy Wizzy couldn't put a beer mat in it's place nor organize a piss up in a Brewery...... It's not looking good for Brexit repercussions.....but I'm sure they now have enough dinghies in the UK to make their escape to Europe...
Hell, if she's "normal" what does that say about everyone else?
To be honest I don't really think a change in personnel at the top is really going to make a lot of difference. I believe that it's a whole new political party I.e. the UK Labour Party that is required via a General Election.
Will it happen? Who knows but that is what is needed.
Sorry but who cares. it makes no difference. They all take from the same pot
@@cdfmmcc Ya lost me there! (Unless it was dead obvious, in which case it was shallow crap). Maybe I need to visit England.
"I'm at an age where I don't really care about saving the planet" is exactly the attitude that has got us where we are. Just me, me, me.
I'm sure this Dicky Attenborough lookalike has always been at an age where he doesn't care about saving the planet.
Typical Boomer attitude from that bearded guy in the vid. Selfish, indifferent, greedy, closed-minded. Everything wrong with the Tory party. Why people keep voting for them I have no idea.
The same old colonial attitude
What a prick he was. I am 65. I have two children in their thirties and I have a 4 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson who mean the absolute world to me. I DO want to save the world for them.
I was at an age where I didn't care about saving the planet - and that was in my 20s earlier this century.
The cons are an anti-establishment party?, holy shit, I haven't laughed so much in ages.
Yes, amazing how he doesn't see a greedy right wing government as the establishment
he meant that too
The NSDAP presented itself that way too... and in some respects at some levels it actually was... despite being the extreme representatives of German Finance Capital.
I had to start the video again in disbelief. Delusion is palpable.
It makes you wonder what people have under their skullcaps. It can't be brain.
‘I’m at an age where I don’t care about the climate’. One of the most selfish sentences i remember hearing.
That's a tory for you
I'll be honest if we all really "cared" about the environment, we'd all be living in Mud huts in the Middle if Wales, raising our own live stock and growing vegetables in a community that was off grid. There's no such thing as free. Somebody is paying for our freedom.
Dinosaur mentality for you?! Consolation being they will die off?!!
I'm all for protecting the planet. I don't live a lavish lifestyle. I don't drive, not been on a plane for years. I'm not too keen on the idea of freezing to death though.
@@sonictelephone1526 its not quite freeziing to death but it is cold?! I've had no heating in this cold country for years!
Honestly the amount of times my internal monologue said "Ooohh fuck off" during this video
At least you kept it inside I just kept saying it 🤣
"left wing runs the media" LMAOOOOHAHHAHAHAH BIGGEST JOKE OF THIS DECADE LMAO
Rupert Murdoch and Viscount Rothermere are working class heroes! They do so much for equality and public service, and fill their newspapers with woke left wing ideas. You can even collect a free copy of the communist manifesto with every Sunday edition. They also fill their newspapers with their vile hatred of the Tory party, regularly attacking poor Boris, Rishi and Liz whilst heaping praise on Jeremy Corbyn. Poor Tory's with decades fighting this left wing media establishment. However do they cope? 🤷♂️

The UK is doomed.

The 'woke issue is really the fight of our times' - he says as the climate collapses and fuel bills rise to £4k a year. No education could remedy such idiocy.
Cultural wars stoked up by the right wing media is a distraction, and it sadly works.
Not to mention inflation, a possible recession and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
That's the right wing playbook, distract from actual issues by using minority groups as a boogieman.
The issue with the "woke" argument is that people like this gentleman are very succeptible to echo chambers. He sounds like he's been indoctrinated.
I know, right? "This is what happens when you let The Gays get married and turn Doctor Who into a BLACK PERSON -- the entire country falls apaaaarrrtt!!!" **chokes on their vintage port.**
Imagine being a grown adult, at least 50, and crying about "wokeness"
Then struggling to explain it
It's just a new way to stoke good ol' fashioned bigotry, racisim, homophobia and xenophobia. The right wing press love it because it is all encompassing and just enough of a dog-whistle that they don't have to explicitly state the aformentioned afflictions. It's sad, but also utterly transparent. Every single one of those tory twats interviewed are being disingenuous snakes.
They are not crying about wholeness they are crying because whiteness might lose an atom of privilege to fairness
Its targetted heavily in conserative media
When people started complaining about it I thought it was the same people watching 'SJW owned' compilations, assumed it was teenagers, not fucking grown adults.
The guy who said the Tory party is anti-establishment is so deluded and brainwashed by right wing press/ideology. It’s scary the amount of people that think like him
"Lockdown without question killed more people than it saved."
Citation needed.
@Thisis Gettinboring it would be difficult to quantify how many it saved but excess deaths of a higher order did drop (once lag was taken into account) when lockdowns were imposed. It was a blunt tool engaged in panic and no doubt had a negative effect on many i.e. mental health and medical issues. It also had positive effects for a few who re-evaluated their lives.
you didn't need a citation to believe it in the first place and follow the rules like a good little boy
@Thisis Gettinboring From the ONS (updated this May): While most deaths due to COVID-19 have occurred among those aged over 80 years, the increased risk of death compared with flu and pneumonia has been greatest for those aged 40 to 79 years. In January 2021, when COVID-19 deaths were at their peak, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 was nearly 32 times higher than the number due to flu and pneumonia for this age group. Among those aged over 80 years, deaths due to COVID-19 were 16 times higher than those due to flu and pneumonia.
"without question". Yeah, it's a core Tory principle of "if you think something hard enough, it must be true"
@@anglodoomer5995 I needed a basic science education to realise lockdown was the way forward. It was then supported by the head of the South Korean COVID response team, they were the epicentre of COVID 8 weeks before it hit our land and knew how to get rid of it. Sadly, we had a Conservative in charge and as a result almost 200,000 Brits have died from poor leadership.
how can a party that has been the most electorally successful over the last century be deemed anti-establishment
These people have been brain washed by the right wing media
You need to be especially thick to balance that cognitive dissonance. So it’s quite easy for them.
It's not about logic and fact ....it about lies and dissimulation....
A party to whose upper echelons admittance, over centuries, relies solely on two colleges in two elite universities.
Well he later goes onto lambast people who focus on identity politics - which is all we've heard these past few months, coming direct from Tory MP's foghorn-like gobs.
Nothing says "anti-establishment" like an 80 seat majority
And 400 year old history of violent rule.
...except for an eighty-seat majority run by rich people from public schools....damn.
The establishment can't be voted out... you can't vote the head of the bbc out
@@VPhantom-rf3qo who runs the country the BBC or the government? (putting aside that the BBC is stuffed to the gills with Tories and chums of Tories)
@@TheOnlyCathyCat No and this is why I don't like the tories. They are literally all talk and do nothing whilst in power. The house of Lords and the heads of big tech, advertising companies etc
I’ve attempted to watch this several times but can’t go for more than 2 minutes without feeling violently angry at the self-satisfied lack of empathy on display by all participants.
I won’t go as far as to say they lack intelligence, but their intelligence is that of a swarm of locusts - “strip the field bare and and move on…”
Works great if you’ve got off-shore accounts, but not a good idea for long-term investment in society…
Same, I got as far as 1 minute and couldn't stand to watch more
Fun fact: Tory is an old Irish slang word meaning thief. It was given to tories as a nickname in the 17 th century. 😂
No, it was the "Tory party" that fell apart in the 19th century, the founder then went on to form the conservatives. In essence they were the same party, just a rebrand to save the idea of right wing politics. They thus just called them tories
Being Conservative seems to mean being selfish and having an intelligence somewhat in the lower third of the range.
Best example is the guy who claims Conservatives are being anti-establishment. That more or less destroyed his credibility as a thinking adult .
Conservatism in a nutshell is “Fuck you, I got mine”
Being Conservative means believing that good things are difficult to create but easy to destroy.
If you're ever of the mind that everyone who disagrees with you politically is an idiot I'm afraid that means you are the idiot.
The shocking thing is that this guy is allowed to use scissors!
I think his responsible adult had popped into a shop to buy him new crayons & he was left unnatended when they interviewd him 🤣
I’m not a labour supporter but my God this lot are terrifying
It gets so much more worse 🙈 🫠
Remember in the next election vote who is most likely to win who isn't a tory. As we need to get them out, Labour have proposed proportional vote, which will mean you no longer have to tactical vote and who you prefer is more likely to win
@@Alex-cw3rz They really need to make that progressive alliance with libdems & greens to flip as many blue seats away from this crapfest as possible... 😬
Now while I know a lot of people in these comments might agree but viewers in sky news comments, or of articles, or of Twitter still paint the same picture.

@@Alex-cw3rz Exactly - depending on your area, you MUST vote LAbour or Lib Dem - if you really want Tories out, and an assured future for progression.
A vote for Greens, TUSC, or whoever is simply a vote for the Tory scum.

Tory: "You can't tax energy companies profits because they need them to invest."
Energy companies: "We're rich beyond our wildest dreams!"
Tory economic geniuses have apparently never heard of businesses borrowing to invest.
I bet they'll be ploughing those profits right back into the company, of course, rather than, say shareholders' pockets.
The investments are already planned in the balance sheet before net profits even established.
Also why would an oil company which sells its commodity want to invest quickly into green energy which would replace it's commodity.
Profits definitely used to be invested more than they are
“I will choose the more optimistic view of the future” - exactly why Plato argued democracy can’t quite work in practise because the people can’t and won’t inform themselves with complete information and will always choose the vision that sounds nicer, no matter how ridiculous or unachievable it is.
Or as I would put it, they just have thick skulls
Well, to be fair. when the choice is "you're screwed" or "You're REALLY screwed" then optimism is relative.

"Tyranny of the uninformed, indoctrinated Masses !" M.D.
"Optimistic" read "deluded". And Truss is a masterclass of delusion.
"Woke tendencies"
Definition of Woke:
"alert to injustice and discrimination in society, especially racism"
These are the people who Tories target.
You've done the same as this guy though. You've used your own definition of 'woke' to attack someone even though I think you know really that he wasn't using the same definition of woke as you.
Woke means whatever the person using it wants it to mean so it was good that the interviewer asked for a definition.
His definition of woke was "the focus on identity politics". Using that definition, I am also anti-woke.
Using your definition, I am pro-woke.
It's why people who claim to either be anti-woke or pro-woke without any further explanation aren't really saying anything. It's why politicians are so keen to use it.
It’s about people who find this injustice where there is none and are totally insincere
@@jeffrey44 yeah, 'woke' is an all-purpose strawman
Nope, that’s the dictionary definition.

Soon as they come out
As soon as they can get on their bike. (For those who are younger this is a paraphrased comment from Tory MP Norman Tebbit, who used to be seen as being on the right of the party. So many have rushed past him dragging the party ever further to the right)
The moral code is so utterly f....d up.
It probably occurs just after de-bagging.
I've never met a tory yet who doesn't deserve a slap in the mouth.
I feel better now. I was worried about catastrophic climate change but now I realise the big issue of our time is whether you are Woke or not. That’s a relief.

he struggles to describe the threat as well.
The “left are controlling the media” bit made me die a little inside.
"What do you define Woke-ism as?" - Cue massive gap while man tries not to say "I want to be openly racist and homophobic" but has to think of something else, hence the delay.

@@forestsunset9617 pretty silly reason if you ask me
i vote tory because I miss the days of Empire when we stole land and owned people rather than giving brownies benefit money.
It's not as simple as this. I can't speak for this guy but the problem with the term woke is its ambiguity, different people interpret it in different ways which makes it hard to define; it's not always some form bigotry. I don't use the term because it's awful but if I were to use it it would be to describe the people on the left, not who simply champion minority rights or environmentalism or ethics, but those who take it to daft extremes.
This is a stupid example, but it still conveys the point: yesterday I saw someone complaining that it is racist for a company to ban smelly foods from being eaten in workplace cubicles because smelly food is apparently non-white food, and as a result her culture was being suppressed because it doesn't appeal to the white man's palette. This is the sort of first world problem person I would describe as woke if I had to, and it's all down to her politics, nothing else.
I suppose in a nutshell it's blue checks on Twitter.
i vote tory because I love our royal family. I love the fact these people are better than families who don't work, have affairs, do stuff with underage girls and claim lots of public money for nothing. dole scum.

Greed is the most fundamental aspect of human nature. We'd still be hunter gatherers if greed wasn't a prime motivating force.
@@garymac5571 It might seem that way excepting that security and looking for an easier way seem to be the prime motivators. Children naturally seem to prioritise fairness over greed according to most relevant psychological studies. (See the book 'The Selfish Capitalist' for the psychological harm greed does.) Young adults and older adults seem to prioritise status, although this does not always work out well, see the book 'Status Syndrome' and also research studies by Marmot.
If we humans do have an animal nature then surely we are different from animals in that we can make rational, moral judgements regarding the consequences of our behaviour, especially for others, and can choose to behave with compassion. Or we can choose to behave in line with our animal nature and entirely out of self-interest (noting that even baboons are capable of altruism - see the old ethological study, 'The Soul of the Ape'. Conversely if we are just biological machines doomed to act in accordance to 'human nature', whatever that really is, then there is no rationale for having laws or locking up criminals, after all they are just behaving in line with 'human nature', as are we all apparently.
Finally N.B. Galbraith: 'The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior justification for selfishness.' The people interviewed seem to prove this. All the best.

lol. 'I've always thought of the Tories as anti-establishment'... Well then, you've always been wrong. They ARE the establishment
a party by the rich for the rich
And when the establishment is mainly dumb what usually happens ?
@@ingridschmid1709 what is happening!
@@dr.umkit.444u People suffer ....and then ?
They're usually quite thick but were born into money.
Its amazing how confident they are
They see tory rule as being the law of nature, inevitable and forever. They are completely oblivious to the massive groundswell of anti tory sentiment coming to eat them. Their only concern is the petty differences between Sunnak the snake and Dizzy Lizzy.
You find intelligent people have doubts and stupid people are supremely confident and have few doubts.
I'm gonna go to the HMRC come April "Sorry, I ain't paying tax this year coz I'm investing the money instead" and see how it goes.
He doesn’t realise he’s pointing out a major problem with energy companies and concentrated power, and why the right wing shouldn’t be anywhere near power. Yes the profits have only gone up because price has gone up. So what is that really saying?
In any decent democracy and economic system, the price wouldn’t have gone up and the profits would have stayed the same or declined as a result. Or to put it politically, the ownership class would have shouldered the burden of rising costs in the industry via a fall in profits instead of workers suffering the burden via declining value of wages in relation to prices. Thats a politely decision. The political decision to protect and increase profits of private capital to the cost of the rest of society. That is fundamentally what the right wing is, and why the political and economic system wouldn’t be right wing in any real democracy because the majority are workers, not private capital.
“The left-liberal media”
Fruit loops out!
Culturally the media isn't right wing at all. I think people are mostly talking about popular culture wjen they criticise the media
Thank u for laugh here too.
Seeing these views from my hometown breaks my heart. I promise Eastbourne has nice people in it too!
Excellent scholars of the Daily Mail one and all...
Some of these interviews truly disgusted me. Selfish, and looking for any excuse to continue being selfish.
That's an improvement for some Tories. Many don't even see the need for an excuse to be selfish.
The crazy thing… they were actually serious and believe there own nonsense
Judging by the tie, sunglasses and outlook, he has nobody in his life to question his choices. Obviously no kids. Inherited wealth because he isn't smart enough to make his own money and no one on this planet would employ him. So he spends his days being stoked by the Daily Mail to hate. He's quite possibly the saddest person I've ever seen on UA-cam. So you go mate, do not go quietly into the night. We hear you. You matter. Wear your crazy sunglasses and your wacky ties! That's personality! And don't let anyone tell you different!! (Not that anyone ever actually talks to you do they? Sure, the folks down the local conservative members club nod and say hi, but, you're never invited over or asked to meet up, eh? They're always ALWAYS busy, hectic even! What lives they must have! Oh can you imagine? No, you can't. You've got no one.)
So listen, crazy sunglasses and wacky tie guy and listen good, no matter how much you try and make everyone's life more miserable, no matter how much money you try to keep, you'll always be sad. And lonely. And unmissed.
"So long as I am OK I could not care less about anyone else..."
I grew up in this part of the country and lived in Eastbourne for 8 years before moving to Hastings. It's a great place to live cursed by older generations who blindly vote without understanding all of the facts or wanting to have any kind of discussion. And their kids who listen to the same arguments over and over without hearing a difference in opinion. Many of the people I knew at my old work had never even left the town
I'm white but Eastbourne is so white I felt v uneasy.
I worked in Eastbourne for four summers, and got so sick of the locals that I rarely went out at night.
I've reached the age where I dont care about the planet because I'm a selfish bastard and dont care about the next generation, Im tory.
I've reached the age where I wouldn't give a f**k if every card-carrying Tory in the UK was accidentally run over by a steamroller. Preferably tomorrow, if anybody's organising it.
Absolute nonsense this. Get Sir Sean Dyche in as Prime Minister to ride us through the recession 🍺🏴🇬🇧⚔
Absolutely terrifying
The usual confusing of liberal with left wing. They're not the same thing. The conservatives and labour are both liberal parties. We've never had an actual left wing government at any time in modern history. Labour at their most 'left' were still free market advocates, and liberal.
An important distinction indeed.
Labour is absolutely a left-wing party. Left wing =/= full-on socialist (in the "public ownership of the whole economy" definition). Just because you're so far to the left that you believe even a person like Clem Attlee isn't left-wing doesn't mean that's what reality actually is like. Labour is a centre-left to left-wing party.
Also, I really dislike it when leftists disavow the achievements of their own governments. Even if Labour was never as good as it could be in your view, they still are left-wing and their achievements *are* achievements of the left-wing. Disavowing Labour as a left-wing movement means disavowing its achievements, refusing to take credit for what the left has fought for and the many victories it has achieved.
@@virbrevan4365 If labour is a left wing party right now then they wouldnt have a cat in hells chance of taking over the reins(an illusion)in 18 months time. They are being rinsed and sanitised so the real controllers of this country can keep you, me and everyone else earning under 50k a year DOWN while giving you the illusion of change. Same in the U.S
Social democrats are left wing. New Labour embraced liberalism and social democracy, even as it rejected socialism.
Beyond that, traditionally, liberals have been the left wing - although this tends to describe the situation before labour politics and universal suffrage, when in the UK you had Liberals vs Conservatives.
Anti-establishment!!!!!! WTF
I still fail to understand how these men can be so selfish, ignorant of facts and evil.
"How does wealth persuade poverty to use its political power to keep wealth in power? This is the whole art of conservative politics in the 20th century." Nai Bevan, founder of the National Health Service. It is even more true in the 21st century. The self delusion of the interviewed tories mindset is mind boggling .
"I'm here to judge their character"
I'm afraid the old man is completely oblivious to anything the Tories want to keep hidden, for example the man who was elected as prime minister, having had cheated on his wife who was battling cancer at the time. What does that say about his character?
If your name is "Boris", you can only expect a monster.
@@Ndlanding I mean that's not fair, though he does remind me of the villian in Men in Black 3
@@c0222 Stopped watching MIB after V2. Can't remember why, tho prolly cos it was shite. Same thoughts about the Tories, No. Wrong. They have always been bloodsucking bastards.
Indeed and what does it say about a party electing this corrupt, immoral buffoon to lead them. It shows a party in terminal decline. Talentless, corrupt, desperate and bereft of ideas but even more worrying is that they could still wipe the floor with the so called opposition.
Low empathy and a lack of emotional intelligence with a sense of entitlement with an inner belief that they are better than most people
And feel others need authority to keep them inline.
"I quite like Liz Truss's economic package" is a mental image I can't escape now.......
If he's not taking the piss the 'wokism is the major challenge of our time ' is said from such a point of privilege. Especially the idea the media is left wing... there are 2 'left-wing' papers
Biggest question is how on earth can we trust either one when they've supported and condoned the lies and scandals of the previous PM. I'd also be interested to know if someone could ask the question "If you become PM, how long would it be before the UK performs checks on goods coming into the UK from the EU". Liz Truss actually leaked a memo about that so would be interesting to see if she would do another U-turn.
You cannot trust either, they were involved in the theft of billions while refusing to feed kids for millions and letting the bodies pile high. The only choice is to vote anything but Tory, otherwise you may as well have supported nazi gas chambers or Pol Pot because there was "no alternative". They are that evil, as evidenced by the last decade and the last five years in particular
"how on earth can we trust either one when they've supported and condoned the lies and scandals of the previous PM"
You can't. Quite the opposite.
You can’t trust either one because they’re tory/right wing and represent the ownership class. In its simplest terms the political spectrum is scrooge verses his workers, with scrooge being right wing politics and it’s associated economics.
And I say right wing because starmer and the labour right have also been right wing this past 30 years. The capital/ownership class controlling workers and the general population and stopping them getting the politics and economics they want.
the problem is over 50% wanted him to stay, so they will vote for the one who supported the last guy the most
They don’t believe that any of them were lies or scandals, they like victimise themselves when they are clearly shown to be morally bankrupt they’ll blame Corbin or Starmer or Woke or BLM or immigrants in dinghies anything but themselves
To be fair that guy does look and sound good for 90
its the sea air !
He is a junior member of the Young Conservatives
It's the nine year olds that I fear for. . . . . . .
Not long until he’s in hell for being a Tory
"The only reason BP have made massive profits is because the oil prices have gone through the roof."
Finish that fucking thought: why have the oil prices gone through the roof? Because the oil companies saw an opportunity to make massive profits by not bringing the prices down after the initial spike caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The "additional investment" is investment in the CEOs' pocket books. The average British citizen will see NONE of that money, and some of us have to live on the planet for more than 10 years. Fucking trickle down economics has never worked and will never work - it's feudalism with extra steps.
This is as unhinged as Jordan Klepper asking the MAGA crowd about Trump. Truly frightning!
The same type of halfwit answers that you'd get at a MAGA campaign.

@@ashleighnoel9857 Were those posh accents? They sounded English, to me. Och aye.
I don't for the life of me understand how the Conservatives can be seen as anti-establishment...
Probably because they have been told that Europe is the Establishment, even though the world is struggling in corporeal ways relating to climate breakdown. They think they are being loyal in despising everyone but their masters. They are puppets of politicians. Very sad.
In their minds, it sounds better than "unpopular."
@@calderarecords I agree with the notion that Conservative voters buy into the rhetoric that the EU is the establishment but I feel that is more applicable to Working Class Tories, the people in this video come across to me more upper middle class honestly. I hope that doesn't invalidate my view but it almost feels like to be in a higher economic standing and believe the tories are anti establishment is based in the privilege of not having much at stake in your politics and parroting whatever narrative the Conservative party want. When your cognitive dissonance is almost tongue in cheek you don't really need to believe in anything strongly I guess so yeah I agree with you
respect for not purposely editing this to make them look ridiculous, they did that themselves.
So to summarise this, it's 'Sod the rest of you, as long as I'm okay, I'm not bothered'.
