Trust me, I had no damn idea about the food culture of Middle East and you literally have changed my perspective.. I'm addicted to watching and cooking, all your dishes❤️
Aww thank you, It's one of my main goals so I'm glad I can help teach you about it.
@@MiddleEats and also that, your sarcasm..! I never thought, people in Middle East can be so fun; such a great amalgamation of food and culture..🙏 all the love and wishes🌼
Love these as I'm not used to seeing Middle Eastern food recipes as often on UA-cam. Well done and congratulations to you for your channel's milestones.
Thanks, thats partly why I created the channel, to give it the representation it deserves!
You are so easy to listen to, well spoken and paced, logical in procedure, clear in expression, and pleasant in telling us some of the history of your offerings. Thank you for opening the doors to a new and delicious world, Obi!
Just made this and am eating it now. Oh my wow, this is the best! You know when there’s a plate of food and you know you’re gonna be sad when it’s all gone? This dish is one of those. Thank you so much for teaching us!!
I am a HuGE fan of middle estern cusine. I grew up eating some of these food when I was a child. But i struggled to find the exact recipe because most of the food shows were broadcasted in Arabic. Now I can make them. Wow ! Brings back so many memories. Keep going !
As a vegan, I love that so many of your recipes are vegetarian and/or easily veganized. Thank upu!
As a professional chef I like to look for inspiration and educate myself about other cultures foods. You are one of my sources, please keep going
Thank you for the “Fatteh“ recipe. I am from Mexico and I love Middle Eastern food. I’ll be looking forward to more of your recipes in the future. Take care!
First and last time I made hummus I used canned chick peas and the recipe didn't have me boil them. Now I get it, thanks!
There's a few more steps needed to get super smooth hummus, and I am aiming to cover it all in a future video, with an A-Z on how to get the best hummus at home. Stay tuned for it.
This is such a great channel! I am learning so much on middle-eastern food and am impressed with its ingenuity and simplicity. Thank you for your work!

Thanks a lot! I tried to find this recipe many years! I tried ones in Damascus and I can't forget it! I live in Lebanon, but no one knows about this fatte
Your channel is criminally underrated! Congrats on 50K subscribers.
As a syrian who loves this dish, I suggest adding pomegranate seeds on top of the fatteh or using pomegranate molases, and serve it with a side of cucumber pickles, spicy pepper pickles, or any type of pickles that you prefer. And most importantly a cup of sweet black tea!
this guy makes me feel so safe mash’Allah
I am so glad that I found your channel! Your videos are so well produced and everything looks delicious. I like that you include alternative ways of making the dish for vegans, for a healthier alternative, etc. Its so professional! thank you!!
I always use your recipes for Middle Eastern dishes and appreciate the vegan tips! I use your recipes whenever I cook Middle Eastern dishes and often make the vegan alterations myself, because I know your recipes are not only legitimate, but designed with care :) Thank you so much!
Every. single. thing. we've made from your recipes has been outrageously delicious!
Just made it, showed a picture of it to a Syrian friend of mine. He thought I ordered it at a restaurant, so seems like your recipe is on point!! 😂
It tasted amazing, thanks for this awesome dish Obi!!!
Just magnificent as always! Such a huge fan of your channel. You deserve all your success as completely as anyone.
I've seen a lot of people try to present traditional middle eastern recipes but none are as authentic as you are.
Congrats on reaching 50k!!
Your channel is absolutely amazing! I've been looking forever for authentic and easy Egyptian recipes, but couldn't find them anywhere. Only your recipes have the original and authentic Egyptian taste just like i remember it from my time in Cairo (and you even provide alternative ingredients)! Keep it up!
Fatteh is a dish that has to be eaten immediately and with a group! Love it but not had it for years 😭
Oh absolutely, warm and while the bread is still crunchy! Hope you try the recipe out. You could make a smaller batch.
Thanks for recipe! Will love to try
This with eggplant is one of my favorite dishes! I make a batch once a week. Each time it gets a little bit better. So yummy.
absolutely amazing stuff! I know next to nothing about middle eastern foods so this is a real treat.
Wonderful! I will make a version of this for New Year, adjusted to what is available here in rural Croatia. I grew up with the flavours and smells of Middle Eastern food ... in Sweden ... and I miss it so. There are no pine nuts where I live (strange, I know) and no pitta. I know how to make my own, but I don't have time or strength for it now, so forgive me for the wheat tortillas I will use. The pine nuts ... hm ... almonds? No. Toasted sunflower seeds. I'm kind of broke, but sunflower seeds are cheap and toasted they add a really nice flavour. Thank you!
I'm quite lucky to have a Middle Eastern grocer nearby, but your substitutions makes sense! Pine nuts are relatively unheard of here, so I would definitely use sunflower seeds or peanuts to replace them. Bread is bread and stale ones are best consumed as croutons or bread pudding regardless.
I mix top my hummus with what I have. Tomatoes, jalapeños, olives, boiled egg, .And I like the stale pita bread concept.
Great receipe. Thank you for sharing. Looks delicious.
It might look plain, but it is one of my favorite dishes.
I Learn so much from your channel. Thanks man. Love from Vietnam

ah damn. Best 2 cuisines i know are authentic chinese and arab. I was cooking chinese cooking demystified videos for a while now and now i also found a channel for arab food. Just. Great.
So delighted that this channel is getting the recognition it deserves! Now to my Q+A question: How are Middle eastern feasts composed (say if you have guests over)? Do you have such a thing as starters/main/desserts like we do in the UK? Are there components that are generally a must (like a sidesalad, rice or flatbreads)?
Oh amazing question, and also this is something I could do a whole video about. I'll try cover this, but it might need more than a few minutes to explain. Let me see if I can find some photos for this too!
Nice on the 50K. I've been watching since about 12k and it is really nice that you are doing so well. Keep it up!
I know I’m 6 months late to publication of this video but I have got to say that this channel is one of my absolute new favorites! Well done and thank you for introducing me to more glorious cuisine!

Thanks for the high quality and vegetarian friendly recipes….
Very nice recipe.
That looks delicious. I make my own hummus- so much better than store bought.
You are an expert at showing us TEXTURES. Creamy, crunchy, smooth, lumpy- whatever. You always take time to shownus, and even let us HEAR TEXTURE. This is so helpful and I havent seen anyone else do it as well and intentionally as you do.
