People sleep on this meanwhile this was one hell of a chess move. He was fighting “Ghostwriting” allegations and he responds by “writing for a ghost” instead. Second he uses Tupac, Kendrick’s idol to pressure him into dropping. (At the time we didn’t know Kendrick was stockpiling songs for weeks waiting to strategically drop). Third he uses a Dr. Dre beat. The beat itself was a beat Drake wrote for The Detox album in writing camps. Dre also helped Kendrick elevate his career back in the day. Fourth he uses Snoop because Snoop famously passed Kendrick the torch back in the day. Also he uses the strategy that everyone ignores that Kendrick was waiting for the smoke to clear from Taylor Swifts release so that way he wouldn’t be overshadowed instead of going head up with Drake when pushups dropped. For some reason Kendrick was given a pass. Taylor Made is truly underrated. And the bars were in this one too
