Today's topic is FSH Test ( Follicle Stimulating Hormone ). FSH is a type of hormone which is present in the brain. Present by a small gland ie Pituitary Glands This hormone is made by both women and men. is produced in the body and helps to make sperm and eggs FSH ie Follicle Stimulating FSH present in the blood Hormone is used to measure.
Doctors can recommend FSH test in many conditions. As in women - Menstrual problems, infertility, pregnancy related problems, polycystic ovary syndrome, short stature, amenorrhea, fatigue, weight loss, Advice to get a test done by a doctor in problems like loss of appetite etc.
In men - low sperm count, low body mass, Low Appetite, Weakness, Weight Loss, Fatigue, etc. Doctors recommend the FSH test in problems
Its Normal Range in Women Before Periods
0 - 4.0 IU/L
Its normal range during periods 4.7 - 21.5 IU/L
And when it enters menopause Then its Normal Range 25.8 - 134.8 IU/L
