- In this episode we’ll be learning how to sharpen our minds so that it becomes really pointy and can be used as a weapon to stab people sneakily. The art of stealthy assassinations using nothing but raw brain power to manifest into a glowing pointy blade is best exemplified in the Soulknife, a Roguish Archetype found in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything.

Actually the damage from the D4 from the bonus action does add the DEX modifier to the damage
Ah my bad, I forgot it wasn't Two weapon fighting
Using Carbot Animations' Protoss Zealot is so fitting.
I see people already commented the corrections in the rulings, but I’m just commenting to say thanks for a funny video about my favorite class (soulknife isn’t but rogue is) :)
Psychic teleportion is great with a race that can wallwalk, like Dhampirs with their spiderclimb feature.
Lob a psi knife at the ceiling and then stick to it. Drive meele only enemies nuts indoors as you rain down psychic blades from above.
And if combined with psychic veil they'll never think to check up there and you don't risk getting bumped into.
Now to try and convince a DM that a Plasmoid (or a Changeling) can have a Dhampir lineage....
Thanks for keeping it short and sweet 👍🏼
Best thing about this is that you don’t need a good Intelligence stat
Also, your blades don’t have to be daggers, you can have them look however you want, wanna duel wield cool magical longswords or battle axes? Go ahead!
For the thrown weapon I like to flavor it as summoning a bow instead of a blade weapon lol
4:25 You do get to use your second blade with the addition of your modifier same as if you had two weapon fighter. Also, if you miss with your first hit and you can sneak attack with the second attack (if available).
Good luck with more views
yea I forgot that it doesn't count as two weapon fighting
Been watching your stuff for a while, it’s really great, and i wish you and your Channel the best!
Hey thanks Jonas, I appreciate the support!
My next character is going to be soul knife rouge I’m excited to play
Hope it goes well!
Thanks, this helped lots.
I just changed my character to a soulknife class. I'm new to the class, but attacking with the psychic blades, can it do good damage? My worry is how effective can the class be in combat to be a reliable and effective member, yet still do significant damage
Yea, its pretty good at damage dealing, the Psychic blades are slightly worse than a rapier but it also deals psychic damage which is a really nice damage type that is rarely resisted and you also have the flexibility of throwing them for 60 ft.
@@Greyscales much appreciated 🙏
@@nevinsean1462 No Problem!
Two things: Thrown Weapon Fighting should work with the Psychic Blades when you throw them, as they do have the Thrown property.
One point of interest, if you multiclass with a class that gets Extra Attack, rules as written, you can only use the d6 main blade for one attack and would need a separate weapon for the second attack. However, any halfway reasonable DM will likely allow you to use that blade for both attacks/however many attacks you end up getting. The Bonus Action d4 Blade is its own thing and shouldn't pose any problems, since it's just like using Two Weapon Fighting, modifier included.
Love this
Thanks Joe!
