I cannot even put into words the joy and relief I have in my heart right now watching this upload of the Red Road Male today ♥️♥️. Ever since I heard reports of his physical condition and factoring in that there were no sightings of him I couldn’t stop my mind from unfortunately going to the worst possible scenario 😔. Although the lionesses are not welcoming him back with the warmest of head rubs and loving licks of affection...He is alive. I’ve seen lionesses with new born cubs become aggressive with the dominant males of their pride when there are new males in the area. If there is going to be a fight amongst the males the lionesses want that fight to be away from them, their young cubs, and their subadults. The farther away the better. It seems cruel but the lionesses need to make sure their cubs and subs don’t get caught in the “crossfire”. I hope the Red Road Male regains enough strength to protect himself as well as his pride. Hopefully the lionesses can continue to move around the area with their cubs/subs long enough for them to learn how to survive on their own. Sending so many prayers to them 🙏🙏🙏 ♥️♥️♥️♥️.

Red road didn't look injured, he looked healthy and with slight limp, he looks like he will recover. I wish him all the best, also it's very unusual for a pride to reject a male after a recent fight with new males
I am very happy to see him up and walking. As far as his Pride -no telling what they have been through since all of this happened. I have seen Dark Manes subadults running from him until he did a contact call and they realized it was him. They probably thought it was the S8 male. This could be the reason the Nharu are acting this way. Maybe they did not recognize him . After all they have been through none of this surprises me. If they continue that behavior yes then I will worried. Until them I am very very thankful to see Red Road looking so much better than I thought he would. @@SD-es1gm not at the Londolozi buffalo kill just Mohawk was there. But like We discussed before Mohawk and dark mane were seen at the buffleshoek buffalo kill and they say Blondie was too last week.
Sad to see the troubles of this pretty boy. If he is accepted back, which very likely might happen, he could easily follow the pride and survive. Thanks Al for tracking him down and updating us, albeit it took a while.
He will probably need to have the sense not to try and dominate at kills though because if he’s not able to protect the territory he’s essentially like a very young male again and doesn’t get to dominate at kills
Red Road Male Recovers Much More than we see today. He did well against a multiple attack. Last week he could barely walk, the limp is great progress & he will continue to progress. He's rested well, he needs to eat well & his movements will recover the muscle. They may have some trauma from the snare incident & what appeared to be a human attack with guns (thank you for saving him). Now this fight? A Coalition Partner or 2 would truly be a Best Friend in both Quality & Quantity. Every downturn is not the end, but experience that makes Lions Kings & Queens. Red Road Male's luck will hold for a while, but more likely will improve, strengthen & he will grow wiser, more knowledgeable with every situation. Manifest Meals Red Road Male Ase. Salute! They all have the common goal to protect, feed, train & raise 9 large Cubs to maturity & they will. Nharu simply maintains distance while deciding what to do about beloved RRM. It's a good time to help lick his wounds.
What a formidable lion. We dont know how things unfolded, but two against one is typically no surprises, and the one is either killed or so hurt that he dies soon after. Instead, he does look in rather good shape to me, I was fearing worse given the circumstances. But he does need time to heal and get the strength again. And it seems the pride is not willing to give him this chance. This is another reason why having a partner is key. Not only to fight together, but also to have the opportunity to heal after a fight, and not be kicked out.
I’m sure their spat is not permanent. He just needs to reinforce his bonds with them. He hasn’t been around much it seems due to laying low and trying to heal but I’m sure the pride will accept him back.
Oh bless… Red Road. Love that handsome face. Animals in the bush are resilient. I hope he recovers and the wound is not permanent. AND he gets his pride back. Be safe and stay strong Red Road 🙏💪✨♥️♥️♥️. Thank you for this fantastic update.
great to see the den with the lovely cubbies of the Tintswalo clan ... hyenas are such iconic African animals and deserve more spotlight ... Red Road didn't look too bad after fearing for the worst ... hope he makes a full recovery ...
I think they're rejecting Red Road because he looks different with his limp & injuries so they just don't trust him. He probably needs to re-establish his relationship with them.
@@fishflaps7030 remember lion relationships are generally tense especially between males & females, related or not. So in times of turmoil such as this, the tension is amplified. They probably know its Red Road (certainly by scent) but the relationship has been affected by the Tintswalo Males attacks, especially that he can't impose himself on them & re-enforce his rule cos he's not 100% fit.
It’s wonderful to see Red Road! He looks much better than expected! This guide doesn’t seem to be a fan of the majestic Red Road, nor did he in the previous video, regarding his condition. “His time has come.” He sounds delighted in his dialogue. Something is off about it. Almost seems to be inserting a narrative. 🤔 I’m definitely pulling for RR!!
Maybe he is prepared himself for the worst case scenario. Maybe he don't want to get to used to something that may not be. My heart is breaking for our beautiful Red Road!! It's just so hard for lone male lions!!
@@buffiechubbuck4850 True, that’s possible, but I just don’t know. Like I said, his delivery was just off to me. But RR is one resilient lion, that’s for sure!
Doesn't seem like it makes sense that they would reject him due to the injury, if the Mbiri or Imbalis came they would kill of all the cubs as well. They're safer with him around than without and there's no two ways about it. The only thing I can think of is that they want to keep an injured male away from vulnerable cubs even if it's the father.
Something doesn’t sit right. The guide was quick to comment that maybe the pride knows “his days are numbered, etc.” Why didn’t he explain other possibilities for their negative reaction, such as the one you suggested, instead of just calling RR weak & effectively out for good? He also stated that the pride now likely prefers the Tin boys coalition. That set off immediate red flags for me! 🚩 RR looked like he was out of it. I understand he is injured, but he wasn’t very alert or contact calling. He appeared to be uncharacteristically aloof. The guides should keep an extra eye on RR, but I’m not sure it would be in his favor…poor boy.
He may be battered but the long and short of it is, he took on Two Male Lions and is still standing. I say no matter what that is a Win. He did his job, he protected his pride. A bad hip or leg doesn't mean much in the Lion World, how many have we seen live for years being a Lion. Battles, limps and scars make for the grit that sets apart The Kings and The Legends. There are many Kings but few Legends.
Animals are uncanny in perceiving weakness. The Pride comes first. So many casual observers of lions do not comprehend how TOUGH it is to be a male lion. It's brutal. Red Road is such a gorgeous male lion. Nature is not kind.
How long before we see another update on Red Road? We want to see his progress & find out if he’s re-bonded with his pride. How much of a priority is RR to these guys, because he’s absolutely precious to us!!

They are just being cautious. He will be accepted back into the the pride. He has been away for a bit so maybe just needs to reinforce his bonds with them.

While he's not in pristine condition, I think Red Road is in fine shape considering worst case scenario which happened to the other famous single male Othawa male.
Lions, especially the males seem to be the gladiators of the animal world. Curious what his injury is, a torn muscle maybe? He looks better than I thought, but such a harsh condition for him to be in. Thanks for finding him.
Damn these girls are harsh. I’ve never seen a pride treat their male this way. He’s not even that injured, I’m sure if he had support of his pride he could recover
Maybe they thought he was dead. They definitely know it’s 3 v 1, and they haven’t seen him in a couple weeks. I hope they relax. He got these injuries defending that pride and he could sure use a little help from them right now.
The other two lions looked worst off then red road. But it's been a couple days. Those other lions better stay together or Red Road will probably kill one of them, if he catches them out alone. They definitely going to have to have numbers on him. The Young Birmingham male looks worse off then Red Road.
You are exactly right 😀. I am agreeing with your main comment about Red Road. I do not think it was the Ross males that injuredYBM a second time. He is at a different place and has been
@@davidframe1613 The Black Dam Lions were near them and one them has fresh wounds on his head.Wild fact has pictures of them. Both coalitions were in shindzela tented Camp.
Omg, such a sad scene seeing the pride walking way from Red Road then sitting together growling at him as if to condemn him for not being dominant warrior. It’s a savage existence to be a male lion. Please please heal RRM.
My theory is that animals don't understand weight loss during absence. When they saw him 3wks ago but now 60Lbs smaller. Humans see it & say "wow! I almost didn't recognize you". But animals may have a harder time distinguishing that it's the same 520Lb lion they saw 3wks ago, he just lost a lot of weight since he haven't eaten much during the short nomadic period. Just a theory..
Also wanted to say I like your videos I think you do a great job, especially explaining as best you can what is going on. Would be nice to see a video in the future where you stay and how everything works behind the scenes. I personally would want an enclosed vehicle if I was doing that job! 🦁
Male lions get injured all the time so its a normal thing that they are used to and they dont discriminate each other because of it. Its not a reason to reject the male, otherwise it would happen with different prides. I think the females were on high alert and stressed the past couple weeks, trying to stay away from the Tinstwalo males. Seeing a male coming towards they could have made them unsure. They probably need more time to get used to his presence again.
Red Road did the right thing, lying down, looking away. Now we'll see if there's one brave cub that will approach him. The problem is that he has to eat, and soon.
This is just horrible a very bad situation for a gorgeous male REDROAD. THERES NO WAY HE CAN HUNT ON HIS AND HAVE FOOD TO RECOVER. HE NOW ALSO HAS TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING INJURED WORSE AND POSSIBLY STARVING TO DEATH. ITS UNREAL ALL the magnificent lions we are loosing
Sucks man that’s how my life is, go above n beyond for the people you love but everyone turns there back on you when you need them the most🤦♂️, I hope you can find a coalition partner RR you deserve better❤️
THIS IS SO SAD...WHY ARE THEY REJECTING HIM? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIM? PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF THE EVENTS TO FOLLOW AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE...BE STRONG, RED ROAD, AND HEAL SO YOU CAN BE KING OF YOUR PRIDE, AGAIN. I DO DISLIKE THIS PARTICULAR DYNAMIC THAT THE LIONS HAVE TO GO THROUGH...👁👁💕
I just wonder how long it has been since Red Road has been around his pride? Do you think the females could just be mad at him because he's been gone for so long? I've seen it on a lot of lion videos where it could take the dominant male a little bit of time to warm back up to the female since he had been gone for a little while
Poor guy, he never catches a break, does he?😔I'm just glad he's alive, I believe he will with time heal. The lionesses🤔I'm not impressed with them🤣how do you reject such a hunk though?🤣🤣
I don't get the rangers bandwagon against a particular coalition. Tinstwalo males were hurt as badly, they are more inexperienced and Nharus will oppose them in case of any altercation with RRM. let nature take its course. I may be wrong, but RRM isn't even ten yet. He can hold his own and recover well. He's not past his prime so stop making it look like it. You can see the same negativity in the "predictions" of Malamala and londolozi rangers against the Gowrie coalition. Nature has no favorites
OMG so glad to see Red Road!🙏🙏💜 I have been so worried about him. I don't understand though why can't you dart him and have the Vets look at him and fix him?🤔 Why can't you throw him some meat? Build up his strength and energy 🙏 you wouldn't just let him wither away and die would you? That would be such a shame.💔
Glad to see Red Road again ! though that bump (infection ?) and muscle loss looks concerning Him not getting accepted is probably to him staying low for weeks to heal, males being nearby and maybe him not being able to fend them off and the cubs would be in potential danger :( Maybe even one or two of them could be pregnant ? (from the Tintswalo males if there was mating that's why he would not be welcomed back ) Glad to see the pride is doing good though ! The cubs have gorgeous eyes ~ (and a very sweet moment with the hyenas at the start of the video) That cub to the far left at 8:30 especially (female or male couldn't catch it looks female to me but unsure)

I will be looking forward to the update on the Pride and his situation. Thank you again
As we wer saying in the chat at djuma cam stream.. RR looks OK.. Now we just need an update on dark mane and the 2 avocas
He is in much better condition than I ever dreamed Kimberly and your thoughts on the situation make good sense. Kimberly ❤
@@zone_Magazine_reporter yes he looks great compared to what they acted like. Hopefully we will see DM soon on drive. I think the Nkuhumas are in londolozi buffalo kill
@@zone_Magazine_reporter were all 3 seen together ???
@@SD-es1gm not at the Londolozi buffalo kill just Mohawk was there. But like We discussed before Mohawk and dark mane were seen at the buffleshoek buffalo kill and they say Blondie was too last week.
Sad to see the troubles of this pretty boy. If he is accepted back, which very likely might happen, he could easily follow the pride and survive. Thanks Al for tracking him down and updating us, albeit it took a while.
Yeah he need to follow the Nharus to get the protection he needs right now: the rest and the needed meals, fingers cross he will pull it off
He will probably need to have the sense not to try and dominate at kills though because if he’s not able to protect the territory he’s essentially like a very young male again and doesn’t get to dominate at kills
Thank God he's ok! 🙏 😊 ❤ 💙 💜
@@Pawsandtales321 I truly hope so. He does not look "down" or too submissive, just prudent. I just hope he can feed well, so he recovers.
Praying for him .sucks there rejection 😢
Poor boy. I hope he'll be ok. 💕🦁💕
Your very close
Oh bless… Red Road. Love that handsome face. Animals in the bush are resilient. I hope he recovers and the wound is not permanent. AND he gets his pride back. Be safe and stay strong Red Road 🙏💪✨♥️♥️♥️. Thank you for this fantastic update.
great to see the den with the lovely cubbies of the Tintswalo clan ... hyenas are such iconic African animals and deserve more spotlight ... Red Road didn't look too bad after fearing for the worst ... hope he makes a full recovery ...
I always love lions so much, they are so beautiful, strong, majestic & intelligent. 😊💜🌸 I always love watching animal documentaries.
I think they're rejecting Red Road because he looks different with his limp & injuries so they just don't trust him. He probably needs to re-establish his relationship with them.
Agree completely
What about his scent they couldn't tel it's him from that?
I’m definitely pulling for RR!!
I agree didn’t like the way he spoke about him you can tell he’s totally desensitised
I'm a fan of this guy either...😒
I hope this guide/lion following bastard doesnt hurt red road lion for you tube views😶😒
My brother prettyboy wouldn't reject him.
I've watched lions for years and NEVER seen a pride male rejected soon after a fight with other males
Something doesn’t sit right. The guide was quick to comment that maybe the pride knows “his days are numbered, etc.”
Why didn’t he explain other possibilities for their negative reaction, such as the one you suggested, instead of just calling RR weak & effectively out for good? He also stated that the pride now likely prefers the Tin boys coalition. That set off immediate red flags for me! 🚩 RR looked like he was out of it. I understand he is injured, but he wasn’t very alert or contact calling. He appeared to be uncharacteristically aloof. The guides should keep an extra eye on RR, but I’m not sure it would be in his favor…poor boy.
@@ElliottAnne03 Agreed
@@ElliottAnne03 Red flags for what though? I dont understand
Red Road well on his way to recovery is great to see. Now be careful and get some good meals
Here comes the Facebook 👦
Hey Frankie it's Sarah Pearce. I'm using my dad's pH. I'm super excited to see red road on the mend
@@murraypearce6581 hello Sarah. I read something today that said he’s already been feeding with the Pride. So it sounds things are normalizing
All I can say is Thank you for sharing!! ❤Red Road and his bloodline!!
Animals are uncanny in perceiving weakness. The Pride comes first.
So many casual observers of lions do not comprehend how TOUGH it is to be a male lion. It's brutal. Red Road is such a gorgeous male lion. Nature is not kind.
Wow that's awesome
Yeah And Female's Love too argue AND he Came back hurt and Lost a fight ... They'll get Over it....😁🙃🤣
Hope he gets better, he looks like it's a superficial injury but not life threatening he is strong and tough. 2 against 1 at that.
Thank you so much for this update on Red Road....Your awesome in taking us around.
Wow that's awesome
How long before we see another update on Red Road? We want to see his progress & find out if he’s re-bonded with his pride.
How much of a priority is RR to these guys, because he’s absolutely precious to us!!
He’s gorgeous, I’m sorry to see him injured. I hope his pride takes him back eventually . These poor creatures go through so much in the Savannah.🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Look at that majestic face of that male lion!!! Beautiful animals! Thx!
Maybe in a few days they’ll accept him back. Even if injured, a big male lion can still protect them better than without a pride male. 🙏 Still praying for his fate.
Im so happy to see gorgeous KING REDROAD. THESE GIRLS HAVE to chill out and realize thats thier cubbies father. Go s h im so happy to see ReDROAD. HE STILL HAS HEALING TO DO SO HE NEEDS FOOD. GREAT UPDATE thank you all so much.
I do feel for RR, with the pride reaction. I know it’s nature playing out , But these lone males have it tough I do hope his muscle mass returns and he gets his strength back.
Absolutely love the hyena .. amazing animals to watch
Thank you Al & the VS team
Marianne NZ .
Maybe the pride are protecting RR? Such healthy lions. Thanks for keeping us updated.
So happy to see Red Road. He looks great to me. If he fought two males at one time he did well.Yea:) I hope it works out for him with his pride. I guess we will see. But glad he is alive and looking fabulous. Love Red Road
The cubs looked so incredibly regal especially the one in the middle of 10:42
Love these videos!!! I hope RR can make a full recovery.
Poor Red Road. Rejection from his own pride! Sad to see this. All he wants is to be part of the Pride again. I feel so bad for him.
They are just being cautious. He will be accepted back into the the pride. He has been away for a bit so maybe just needs to reinforce his bonds with them.
I know it's hartbreaking isit .praying he have better days .
Hi pretty that is very nice
he's such a beautiful strong lion
m happy to see him alive and he is looking better that I imagine him to do. I dont like that the lionesses is so hostile but maybe they need some more days!!! I hope they will join up and become a full pride again!!! He has 9 cubs to protect!
Really hope he gets a few good meals and recovers, I’m sure he’d still dominate a kill if he needed to. Still a good looking male and not very old
Aaaaw, shame Red Road my boy. You were/are a great Protector and Papa to the Nharu Pride. I hope he will be re-integrated back into the Pride. The Bush etiquette to us humans will forever remain a mystery. As long as all involved are healthy, I will be satisfied,
Poor red I hope he's gonna be ok and his family let him back it's a shame. I love red road stay safe my friend tru warrior king. Heal up my friend I'm rooting for my boy.
Thanks for the video...really appreciate your work..🙏🏾🇿🇲
Looks like Red Road is having a bad few weeks. Got thumped and then later rejected by the family. Ouch! Hope he has better times ahead.
I'll wait before making predictions... But they're fine! Your subs are great
Agree with you totally
Ty for the update on redroad I pray he heals.andnjis pride excepts him back.god willing.
Happy to see rrm is OK, thank you for the update.
any little incidence happens with red road this guy starts judging him
Is that so
What?
I feel so sad for him it’s like he looks but your my family it’s truly heartbreaking 💔 to see that’s when I see homeless alone it breaks my heart and yes I’ve always helped them ,bless the lion 💙
We think it could be a torn or damaged muscle-we will keep you updated
Very good to see him healing up but the fittest and nature .......
I would say the Ross males are the ones that got in a fight with the young Birmingham male again.
You are exactly right 😀. I am agreeing with your main comment about Red Road. I do not think it was the Ross males that injuredYBM a second time. He is at a different place and has been
In one vs one confrontation they are almost never fight to death between male lion.
@@davidframe1613 The Black Dam Lions were near them and one them has fresh wounds on his head.Wild fact has pictures of them. Both coalitions were in shindzela tented Camp.
That's true but it has happened. Most the time if they die they end up dying days later from an injury from a 1 on 1 fight.
Omg, such a sad scene seeing the pride walking way from Red Road then sitting together growling at him as if to condemn him for not being dominant warrior. It’s a savage existence to be a male lion. Please please heal RRM.
Those female lions look stunned. Amazing !
So sad there rejected him .praying fro this handsome lion 🦁keep strong hope he can find some food
Why don’t the film crew help him, should call the vet ?
I know iv have to give him some food at the very least .beautiful lion deserve a break .I hate suffering in any form 😪
Two uears later
Red Road Mibri Pride still going strong
Thanks for the video great to see these beautiful lion’s especially RR. Isn’t there any vets to help these poor animals when they are injured?
Also wanted to say I like your videos I think you do a great job, especially explaining as best you can what is going on. Would be nice to see a video in the future where you stay and how everything works behind the scenes. I personally would want an enclosed vehicle if I was doing that job! 🦁
Well at least we know RR is ok
😢😢😢 😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔am so heartbroken seeing RED ROAD injured and the pride did not accept him !!! I ❤❤❤❤ you REDROAD !!! . Lion life is so harsh 😢😢😢😢😢!
Thank you!❤🙏
This is just horrible a very bad situation for a gorgeous male REDROAD.
😅😅 the way red road moves around the trees on seeing his pride is funny..
I DO DISLIKE THIS PARTICULAR DYNAMIC THAT THE LIONS HAVE TO GO THROUGH...👁👁💕
It’s not caps lock serious
@@SD-es1gm SORRY, I'M ALMOST BLIND.
I just wonder how long it has been since Red Road has been around his pride? Do you think the females could just be mad at him because he's been gone for so long? I've seen it on a lot of lion videos where it could take the dominant male a little bit of time to warm back up to the female since he had been gone for a little while
Thank God he alive and pray his body is healing
He is so hansome...
The baby hyenas are freaking adorable
OMG so glad to see Red Road!🙏🙏💜 I have been so worried about him. I don't understand though why can't you dart him and have the Vets look at him and fix him?🤔 Why can't you throw him some meat? Build up his strength and energy 🙏 you wouldn't just let him wither away and die would you? That would be such a shame.💔
It would be but they won’t interfere unless a human causes harm.
Wow that's very nice one
Lion social dynamics is so interesting.
Even the front right leg is swollen, down to the paw & has a limp.
I've never seen that on anything I watched on lions. I hope "Red Road Male" heals and is accepted back into Pride!
