Good day to you all of my best Friends. I'm so Happy to see that most of you thought that Fergie was one of the Very Best Singers of Toto. Fergie was also one of my best Friends, and we did several Concerts together for so many years. I loved Singing with Fergie, because his Voice was very awesome. Plus, he was such a nice guy to be a Friend with. When he was close to Dying of Cancer, I played about 5 Benefit Concerts with several great Singers & a fantastic Band to raise Money for Fergie's Family and to Pay his Hospital Bills. It truly broke my heart when I learned that he had died. When I left Toto in 1984, Fergie had been singing with a Band in Louisiana the Me and the Guitarist had put together. Before I left that Band, they were called "The Levee Band". After I left "The Levee Band". they Broke up for about 3 months, and when they got back together, they were called "Louisiana's Leroux", and Fergie was the Vocalist then. I left The Levee Band, because I had gotten a call from a great Friend of mine, who asked me to move to LA, and Sing with the Drummer, Bass Player, and Guitarist from the "Three Dog Night Band". That Band had Broken up because the 3 Singers had just left the Band. "Three Dog Night"was one of my favorite Bands at that time, so that's why I moved to LA to play with those 3 Musicians. I thought it was such a fantastic idea after about 3 months when I left Toto, that they hired Fergie to Sing with them. I loved his voice. When I moved to LA to play with those 3 Dog Night Musicians, in a Band called: "S.S.Fools", Jeff Porcaro & David Paich came to so many of our rehearsals that we did hat's when I became Friends with Jeff & David. I always thought they was such wonderful guy, and the best Musicians I had ever met. After about a years and 3 months, I left the "S.S.Fools" Band, and I sang with 6 local LA Bands for a few months. Then, I got a Call from Jeff and David, and they asked me to be the Singer for the Band they were about to put together. I was so excited that they Called me and asked me to play with them, because they were both the most fantastic Musicians I had ever known. Hello Mr Kimball! Fergie was definitely a great vocalist and Isolation is a very good Toto cd in my opinion but you will always be the voice of Toto in my mind! Great to see you give Fergie his props on here though!

It's horrible about Fergie cancer is the worst disease. Bobby what can we do about something that killed my best friend and most of my heroes!? I wish all the money put into war and destruction would be put into saving lives. I can't wait to hear your new album. I love you.

Hello Mr Kimball, I am a giant fan of Toto and generally I feel every singer that steps into Toto always gave something new and exciting like when I first heard you singing Hold the Line, I loved Fergie as he had such a natural voice and it gave off this interesting energy towards the band, I do look at a lot of what concerts and such you play at and I must say I love seeing you keeping that passion for music as time keeps moving slowly, It's wonderful what music can become when friends get together and play something which can become something big, I listen to the wonderful things you brought along with Toto as it's given me such inspiration to do my best during the hardest times. Hello Mr. Kimball, my name is Julie and I'm 16 years old and I'm French (forgive my English) I know it's late but I wanted to tell you if you receive this message, it's very beautiful . I also like Fergie very much, he sang very well, unfortunately I did not know him during his lifetime. I just discovered it and I'm really sad that he did not make more album with Toto. I'm a fan of Toto thanks to my father. He went to their concert in 1990 and 1992 in Paris (very good concerts) and had a hat signed. I went to see them in 2013 in Montereau, France but you were not there. It was Joseph Wiliams (whom I also like a lot). I would like to know if you sang with Fergie Frederiksen with Toto or not?

Good album but not as good as farenheit
Frederiksen/Phillips is the best thing Fergie's ever done. I don't know if these are sound checks or production performances, but man his live voice is spot on. Best wishes to Fergie on a speedy recovery.

@Dalto922, This was actually a performance. The place looks empty, but most all seating was off to the side, or behind the video point. A smaller, but popular club at the time called the Iron Horse. And you don't hear any crowd noise to speak of because the audio is straight off the mixing console. But it was a fun night!
I'm glad you said that. Fergie was such a talent, bless him, that I was very depressed to see about 5 people in the audience. It happens, of course, but you wish it didn't. Shame he only made the one album with Toto, great band, but with seemingly little patience for the foibles of their singers. I do have all his solo, le roux, Frederiksen/Phillips CD's too of course and I love them ... and yes I do realise, you left this comment 6 years ago, sorry for being late to the party. : )

Fergie really has got some great vocals here! Maybe hard to remember, but did he do the Toto song "Lion" from the Isolation-album? It's my favorite from that album!
@neilotudor42, I don't ever think this will be produced for any kind of release. The only thing to pull from is a raw stereo track taken from the FOH console. There just isn't enough to work with as far as adjusting individual track levels. Glad you like it though!

He was a bit off key at the beginning but got a tune. Still yet he had a great voice. Bobby Kimball got a perfect pitch for this song.
