Great video. Just subbed. Keep up the great work as you are destined for 100k subs and beyond. I'm in the beloved transitional zone and my 11 year old son and I just obliterated our front lawn. He had the idea of using a weed whacker to shave everything down to dirt, while I followed up with a rake and a tiller down to 1-2". Ready to mix in some high quality top soil (as you said, you get what you pay for) and we at the next crucial step of picking the right seed to endure a mostly full afternoon sun for the brutal mid-Missouri summer months. This video not only provided excellent information on the different types of seed for this region (including pros and cons of maintenance, which cannot be ignored), but also the fact that it is important to find the right seed manufacturer for the job, even if it means paying more per bag. Why put in the hours of work to prep everything if you are going to go cheap on the seed? Keep up the great work brother.
What type of turf type tall fescue grass seed would you recommend ?I think that’s what I’m going to go with. What’s the difference between TTTF and tall fescue?
I live in Los Angeles and my small TTF area, struggles in the summer. Temps are no where near those temps down south, but it just gets torched . 😞. Not too mention the crazy disease pressure , i Will probably look into bermuda for the upcoming season 😞
You want a Blue/Green lawn? For SEED, go with Monaco Bermuda. It will require a reel mower. I live in the O.C., and that's what I use now. For a Perennial Rye that can take the HEAT hit? FIREBALL only seed!
I have perineal rye and Kentucky blue grass too but I live in Texas and I have a lot of trees. I also have three dogs that love to play catch. So I’m kinda unsure. I had st Augustine and I loved it but again. So much heat and large trees and drought. Please help. I want a green grass for a very shaded lawn in Texas.
Great information, thank you! Not too many cool season guys out there. Subscribed.
Definitely looks like the neighborhood is all on the same page with taking care of the grass. Nice job and great looking property!

A lot of good points to consider when choosing the best grass type to fit one’s lifestyle and maintenance habits.
Not sure why but I was unable to download the "best grass-seed" guide?
