My grandpa listened to this in his car nearly every time I ever rode with him to stay at his house on holidays. He passed away in 2008 and I have been looking for this song ever since. It brings back alot of memories and brings a tear to my eye nearly every time.
As a kid I never knew who sang this, but my grandpa listened to this nearly every single time he went to picked me up to stay with him when i was young, until I was in my teens, before he died from liver failure at the age of 68. That man was wonderful to me and treated me like his own son. I dedicate this song to Lester Lloyd Brooker, Jr. who passed away in 2008 after many years of silently battling alcoholism and liver damage. He never lost faith in anything I wanted to achieve and I will always remember him fondly as my hero, in spite of his love for the drink. This was his favorite song. I honestly believe that him playing this repeatedly the last few years before he went to be with the Lord was supposed to be a hint, and I can't even listen to it without it making me cry.
I see also...., Our bodies are already dead! Yet Messiah provided a place for our souls to rest their heads. As was with Joseph a Rich man, So Yashua's RICHER STILL, Hewn from the SOLID ROCK of Salvations Foundation. No longer we must swallow Sin's bitter Pill. HIS BODY, A LIVING tomb, Borrowed only for a while, For We have come to him just like a small child. We've entered the Rock through the only door, His Body Borrowed as once before. Until He Raises Each Our OWN, like unto HIS sitting on the Throne!
Yes, you do not understand the song. Just think? if Jesus doesn't come, his Word says it is appointed unto man once to die. Meaning when this body is dead, we will not stay in the body. Instantly, when our eyes close in death, our spirit will ascend to be with Jesus. Even through our death, Jesus is with us. Then when Jesus comes back, he will give us a glorified body.
@bporter1619 if you could understand this song, you would have joy in your heart. Because of Jesus when this body closes its eyes in death, instantly my spirit will ascend to be with Jesus. Then when Jesus comes back he will give me a glorified body. This is something to be excited about. Jesus is alive and He has risen and he promises us eternal life! JESUS IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!
Amen ...for we are just passing thur this life shareing the gospel to who shall listein

They make you think don't they? Come Lord Jesus!!!!!!!!!
This song is horrible. This body is not a borrowed tomb, but is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and it will rise again. This is very bad theology and is
🙄🙄🙄
Have to down vote this.
