Life has knocked me down hard . I was a victim of a shooting that left me paralyzed .The recovery process was difficult & terrifying. Since then I took my 1 st tandem jump . I was hooked . The moment the door opened ,all my many fears vanished . I felt peace , serenity and experiencing the amazing beauty of our world at 13,000 ft made me feel alive again . Skydiving gave me a purpose , it gave me freedom and feelings I cannot began to put into words . On my last jump , I experienced a hard landing and broke my leg . However , as soon as I am healed I'm going back and finishing getting my AFF .Nothing takes away the terrible pain I live w/every day , no medication works . When I jump , my pain disappears for days , that alone is one reason Skydiving has become a big part of my life , it's all I want to do , it's all I think about . I don't feel paralyzed when I'm flying , I feel just like everyone else an I feel every thing in this video . Hang loose , Blue Skies :)
This made me cry because there is literally no explanation on how wonderful it feels to feel freedom! You forget all your stressors, you forget the world. It's just so beautiful!
The confidence building is understated. Many people stress every little challenge of everyday. Once you jump everything else seems so trivial. After you feel a certain sense of freedom and overcome sense of fear, what else could possibly worry you? You have literally jumped from an airplane, nothing else is as scary and fulfilling and fear conquering than that. Five seconds into my first free fall I knew it was what I was going to do the rest of my life as much as I could.
Went for my first tandem last week. It took 4 days for the elation to subside. All I could think about every day was feeling that feeling again. Ready for my second tandem, and going to focus on just the experience the next time. I'm not sure about qualifying for solo diving because the level of trust you have to have in yourself with this sport is immense. Maybe I will tandem forever lol. I appreciate most the kindness, the uniqueness, the openness of the community. I observed people from so many backgrounds coming to the DZ to do what they love, and any fear I had while waiting, was quickly dissipated. Shout out to everyone who has chosen this sport, and kudos for mastering the art and science of it. There clearly is something about you. Great capture of that essence in this documentary.
Everyone who has kindly commented and given this film a "LIKE", I thank you very much, it means a lot to me and I am very happy that you appreciated the film. Live well friends! -Director of Film Emilio Mamuyac
Great job. I did 70 about 40yrs ago. Such great memories, like finding a hole in the clag, or bursting out the belly of a cloud, or the beauty of when it was foggy everywhere except the DZ. Magical...
Blue skies from Germany. Did my first skydive with Bruce on Nov 2nd 2017.Always getting a smile on my face while thinking about it and Bruce saying „welcome to my office, buddy!“ currently waiting for AFF 7 and to get solo! Keep up making people happy and skydiving is just incredible. Just do it!
Awesome Documentary, did my AFF last May and in less than 9 months completed 200 skydives to pursue WINGSUITING. Currently 8 WINGSUIT jumps so far! Very scary at first, I actually failed 6 out 8 levels on my AFF. Now all I want to do is jump out of airplanes because jumping out of cars is more dangerous. Skydiving is so addictive. As soon as I landed and had my chute packed I was trying to get on the next load. On a good day I was averaging 5 or 6 jumps. I know this will never happen but everyone should jump out of a plane I least once in their life, no questions asked. The most amazing views, better than any penthouse view or better than any window seat on any airplane, cause YOU are actually the airplane. I'm now working on a Documentary on Wingsuiting and all the steps it takes to become a Wingsuit Pilot...
Just watched this today and there were parts where I was in absolute tears, moved so amazingly so. The part where the lady jumps and is above the rainbow and describes 'serenity.' And the skydiver who says about the 'peace.' Unbelievable and awesome. xx
It's sometimes strange where inspiration comes from. Billy, they guy who had the accident saying that he thought about his life, went back to college, and ended up having a career change just gave me that little push to carry on with my studies today. Overall this whole documentary was very moving, thank you!
Two things everyone could benefit from trying at least once in their lives is skydiving and scuba diving. Both are a direct link to something higher than ourselves and opens your eyes to the beauty of this earth and life.
Unfortunately skydive for me is 'over'. Born too early and 'inherited' medical issues. However.......this clip that you made encompasses so many things........Life's teachings and so on. Blue skies!!!!!!!!!
Great piece of work and so many good lessons come out of your video. I am a skydiver from Utah 1974- 1989. After watching your film I have the urge to get back into it.
What an amazing documentary. Its been on my 'Watch later' list for over a year. Never got around to watching it because of the length of the movie. Should have watched it ages ago. Thank you for sharing. It even more solidified my determination to do what i love and live my love.
A beautiful, touching film, well done Emilio! I hope many people get to see this film and also experience the freedom and joy that exists between heaven and earth. Magic is right here, in our time and space...
Excellent video! This sport is truly amazing! From the views you get to enjoy to the people you meet, the skydiving community is just like having family around the world that you haven't yet met. Completed my AFF classes this past July 4th weekend and should complete my A License requirements in the next week. Thank you for sharing this. Blue Skies!
One of the best and most inspiring documentaries about skydiving I've seen👍😍 I've made two tandem jumps and I'm planning on making my AFF once I am 16😍 greetings from germany

Really awesome video!)) That's just incredible to feel this freedom in the air =) I remember my first jump) It was absolutely amasing :-) I would definitely do it once more :D
i jump out of airplanes... but i can't go to the dentist, simply I can't... haha excellent video, every human being should feel the peace and happines that skydiving can give, at least 1 time in the life Sorry for my english!
Watching this video from Ukraine, I have now only 15 jumps, AFF behind...2 jump I was waiting for "door"...and feeling was like "what am i doing, it scary))" But than... )) Almost every day this video, music, words... When some thing go wrong ...watching this, own videos, own mistakes and first steps...and everything becom better)) Life is changed..."before and after"... Family...job, friends, people around...U r !!! I felt All
My one and only jump, I had no clue what to do with my hands. I became comfortable, the instructor was constantly throwing his hands in front with big thumbs up. My jump looks goofy. But I plan to jump again, and honestly, the fact that I could worry about what I was doing with my hands from 14,000 feet? I must be made for this
I've seen hundreds of skydiving videos, but i'm only a whuffo planning on doing my AFF next summer. Nearest DZ is 2.5 hours away with a £60 boat journey. Will be worth it :)

Can anybody who knows what they’re talking about explain to me why Billy hit the ground so hard? It looks like the shoot deployed properly so I’m just confused on what caused that.
Billy saw a plane coming in for a landing and Billy was landing on the grass runway. He wasn’t sure what to do and didn’t make a decision fast enough before he hit the ground.

I’m so sorry for you, life isn’t fair. I wish you all the best !

+Shanice Jefferson Glad you appreciated this Shanice, I love when people feel my films! :-)
I'm weeping all the way through from the "we had to get our own licenses" part :')
There really are no words to describe. Addicted and don't care. : )

What happened to Billy on landing? 🤦♂️
In South Africa your 100th jump has to be naked😂 and I DID it and a couple more naked ones with friends 100th😍
