We had a bridal shower for my daughter last month and each guest received a bag as they came. The bag had hand sanitizer, their own wrapped silverware, a couple of assorted bags of chips, candy, a plastic set of tongs, extra napkins, their own plate and bowl, gloves, mask, and other pre wrapped food items. The main food was soup, salad and a sandwich that each person went up to the buffet at a time, using their gloves, tongs etc to get for themselves. Drinks were in bottles so there was no community punch bowl. We rented a township hall so the room was large and had tables spaced out in a big rectangle so we could still see and talk together. It was still fun and no one got sick.
I understand everyone is in a different place with the pandemic and I'm not going to shame you over that. However saying that you're not stressing over it is disrespectful during a time when thousands of families are in various stages of mourning loss of loved ones so to the pandemic. Things like we are do things the safest way we know how I think is perfect. Saying you're not stressing comes off as cold.
@@shesinherapron which is why I said we're all in a different place. I wasn't commenting at the choice to have a get together. I was trying to communicate that the wording used felt cold and a bit indifferent.
It’s not only about high risk people catching covid and dying. It’s also about catching it and spreading to random people (diabetic, high blood pressure, cancer or not) who work at the drive thru or Costco or anywhere ! It’s terrifying what the right wing anti science crap has done to common sense. Who the hell can afford the treatment if they end up in icu ?? Or have long term effects from covid? Certainly not me. My routine blood work is $400 and I have insurance. 🤯
People like her are contributing to the spread of COVID cases. I live in Utah like her and cases continue to spike and spike and are getting worse every day. There is a serious issue here, especially in the part of the state she lives in, where people think it’s not a big deal and are acting that way. As a healthcare worker, it’s very discouraging to see her attitude towards this considering the hospitals in Utah are almost at capacity and our ICUs are overflowing. I hope somebody close to her doesn’t get seriously ill.

Here in California we're not allowed any gatherings over 6. No trick or treating for the kids. Although some folks will do it anyway. Have fun!!! Stay safe.
I hope you keep it small and stay safe. We just had an outbreak in my county so no gatherings larger than 5 people. I love stickers!! I'm 45, but I'm still a kid at heart!!
It makes me happy that you are doing this. My granddaughter is 9 and I have had her with me her whole life. During the first 3 months of this shutdown she was miserable and would burst into tears several times of day. I finally had to realize her mental health was important. When school started back....she went back. We are back to being as normal as possible. She goes to cheer classes and Taekwondo classes. We basically go and do as we please. Hand sanitizing is our main thing. We are in Texas. Happy Halloween. 🎃
I have a 9 yr old granddaughter that I raise as well . She cried too during the shutdown . we would do facetime with her friends . It helped she has A brother here and her little cousin stayed with us during the Day. Im near Ft. Worth .
We are in Fort Worth as well. My kids mental health was severely impacted after the shutdown and not being in school for almost 7 months. I sent mine back when they opened as well. They are resuming sports as usual and the schools are trying to take precautions. My kids are not distance learners o quickly found out in the spring and for that reason I made the very difficult choice to send them back. Trust me I went back and forth with it for months
I think some people might be misinterpreting your words with the comment on “not stressing” about the party. I interpreted that as saying you are doing all the things you can and should be doing to keep it safe but not allowing anxiety about the possibility of something happening despite your efforts. I feel that I know your heart and you would never aim to disrespect people affected by the situation. As vital as it is to protect our vulnerable we also have to realize that life cannot completely stop and keeping your children away from your family and loved ones is also very difficult. We all have to look at our situations and make decisions that make sense for us. (And I say this as someone in the “high risk” category). I hope you have a wonderful start to the holiday season Kimmie.
I absolutely agree. You are just trying to make the best you can of Halloween and trying not to let the anxiety of all that is going on in the world overwhelm you. You are not someone I would ever think of as cold or disrespectful of anyone Kimmy. I hope you have a lovely time with your family. 💕

So exciting! We are having a Halloween party too, my kids have some friends coming from school, we are doing our final bbq of the year for a lunch at our party, I am creating stations for trick or treating around the yard, pumpkin painting, find the witches fingers in a hay stack and eat a hanging apple cider donut without hands and bean bag toss in pumpkin buckets, super excited
It's frankenstein's monster, frankenstein it the dr. (Common mix up since marry never gave the monster a name) For Halloween I have pre made goodie bags made up and will have them on a table outside for kids to grab come trick or treating. I always make goodie bags so I just moved from them funneling at my door to being in a more open space for kids to spread out and grab their goodies.
were doing goody bags hanging from the trees in our front yard so they can get a treat without getting near us. then for our kiddos its going to be kind of like an Easter basket but for Halloween. dress up and watch scary stuff and have a good time.
As an alternative to trick-or-treating I've heard of a few families who are doing candy hunts at home, like Easter egg hunts. I think you can get Jack-o-Lantern shaped "eggs" off of Amazon.
It was great watching you prepare for the party. I love how excited you get. The only thing that I would’ve changed is that the adults would have got a treat bag too.😀. Those sweets inside the bags looked so nice. I still wished that in the UK people would dress up in fun costumes for Halloween. Here they just dress up as ghosts & witches etc. Have a great Halloween next Saturday. x
We’ve had a trunk or treat on the church calendar since the new year. Haven’t heard any updates, but it’s so easy to social distance at the church owned park we usually have it at. If it is still happening I’m sure there won’t be the annual chili dinner. However, we can still make ourselves chili at home. 😁 I know if there are trick or treaters on Halloween many may stop at our house. (This even happens if we turn off lights, ha!) I’ve worked at three schools in our area and with all the church kids for 10 years here, and we’ve had lots of fun over the years. All those kids in my lunch lines, classrooms from substituting, former cub scouts, primary kids, and youth...I don’t have the heart to turn any of them away. I’ll probably fill my Tupperware bowl with like...smarties, plop on a mask, and use tongs to toss candy in bags. 🎃👻🍬🍬
We’re doing the pvc pipe slide for trick or treaters. I got full size candy bars from Costco for a great price. My son painted the pipe black after we cut it to about 7 feet. I painted the inside with glow in the dark paint to about 6 inches. The pipe works for me because I’m on a hill! I am also going to add orange duct tape in a spiral down the pipe. They can just hold their bag under the end of the elevated pipe and we’ll slide a candy bar down! Happy Socially-Distance Halloween!
Hi Kimmie! I’m in Vegas and things are moderate here. I ventured out for the first time last weekend to attend a family event. It was nice to visit but I wore a mask and social distanced as I’m in the high risk category and we just went through a horrible covid experience with my father (23 days in the hospital- 9 in the icu). So, this year we’ll be staying in and having my niece come over to hangout. Well be doing spooky movies, our favorite takeout, and a fun dessert on Halloween night. Halloween is my favorite holiday and seeing kids being kids is my favorite part. But, there’s always next year. Fun and safe festivities! 🎃
I'm sad no Halloween parties for us this year. We will be home, just hanging around. We decorated the doors inside our house and my kids will knock on the doors (in our house) to get a goodie. 🍭🍪🎃 We will have bagged candy outside our door for those who will be trick or treating.
Kimmy Hughes, I enjoyed watching this video of yours about planning your ultimate Halloween party. I love your pirate costume. I love the old-school Halloween costumes of the mustard squeeze bottles, ketchup squeeze bottles and hotdogs. I love the costume hats of the "mustard & ketchup" lids. On Nov. 10 & 11, I played with my 8 empty "12-ounce" Tablecraft "mustard & ketchup" squeeze bottles so I stacked, held and squeezed 'em. In Georgia, the recreational community center got closed in mid-March because of the pandemic. There wasn't a Halloween party on Oct. 29. I stayed at my home on Halloween. But in September and October, I watched the Halloween-related movies, the ones as blockbusters and the other ones that originally aired on the Disney Channel. I love the "Hocus Pocus" characters named Dani Dennison and Thackeray Binks. I like the Sanderson sisters okay. You should've seen "Hocus Pocus" with your husband and kids. It should've been a family Halloween movie night. 🎃🍂
Our youngest daughter is getting married on Halloween. I am surprising my two grandbabies and neices and nephews with treats and trinkets during the monster mash song. Should be fun.
I love your parties! Someone mentioned using kitchen tongs to hand out candy to trick or treaters and one way to make it fun is to use the rings shaped into Skelton hands.
My neighbor is doing a clothes line and I'm doing the same. I thought it was genius. This way I can wave behind the storm door waving because I'm compromised
I wanted to throw a costume party, so bad this year. Halloween, is my favorite time of year, but with Chris being sick with his heart for so long, our yard/ outdoor space, is not party ready. We are going, to do a small Halloween party this year, with family coming in from out of state, so I will get to break out, a few Halloween appetizers, and desserts, as well as your clam chowder recipe. It is always a huge hit. Everything looked wonderful!
They have lots of issues, just like we all do. She brings it up quite a bit, but doesn’t really tell us much because they are private matters. She does talk about her anxiety and depression, though. I think Kimmy is always doing the best she can, but her mind gets in the way sometimes. She is such a great person, wife and mother! 💕
@@heatherthepainter2925 Oh I know! I struggle with the exact same issues she does. I know nobody is problem free. All I was trying to say is I love their family and they seem very happy and close
Wow loved your Halloween party. Looked so fun and everyone looked great. Yeah I hope we can do something here but we are in red zone here in Alaska. Great video!
Wow so many Helloween stuff. Here in Germany you have to look really long to find something. Helloween is not so well known here. Class video, I'm excited.
Grandson’s are not Trick or Treating this year. They get to pick out what candy they would like. We are doing dinner and either watching Nightmare Before Christmas or Beetlejuice.
Looked like a great party! Thank you for all the tips because I am throwing a party just for my two kids and then my husband and myself on Halloween! I will be using some of your goody ideas 🎃
So nice!I like your videos.I wish we could buy as much Halloween stuff here in Austria as you in the U.S. I have never seen a ready to use frosting here or a Frankenstein decoration for cupcakes. So adorable.kind regards. AND you made me buy a big freezer for freezer meals!!!😂😂
I have been looking forward to this fun video! ♥️ We are setting up a table outside and they are taking their own treats individually but we will be behind the table with masks on.
We cant trick or treat this year or celebrate guy fawkes night . However im decoraring my house and getting dressed up even if there is only 3 of us. Gonna make up some treat bags for neighbours kids. Covid friendly of course . Hope everyone is doing ok x
In Europe or at list in my country we don't have Halloween, but we borrow it just as valentine days from you guys. I was so excited that today I found Halloween candy and snacks and I was thinking of you. :)
enjoyed your vlog Kimmy some great ideas for trick or treaters, we are just having a family get together with chicken curry. deviled eggs, camembert mummy dip with carrot sticks and celery or cucumber, cupcakes with meringue ghosts, petrified peppers filled with humous, or cream cheese sausage mummies, witches broom crackers, gingerbread bats, mini rolls you could try these next year. glad the party went well. love to the family Julie from the UK. xxx
My little piece of the world normally has the biggest Halloween festival in Europe. We are a tiny town but have over 200k visitors at this time of year. But this year there's nothing. No fireworks, no markets, no week long festival of light and no trick or treating, no ghost tours, no arts and crafts workshops . Its going to be a very different Halloween this year but we will make the best of it.
Aww I missed the live 😔 I have 2 jobs now so I will miss a lot of lives. My husband lost his job due to covid. I work part time at Cracker barrel in the retail shop right off the freeway in Springville. Have a blessed day Kimmy and Fam💗
This was such a fun vlog! I'm so very glad that your Halloween party was a hit! I LOVED the tip about putting candy's in little zip lock baggies. Our church is doing a trunk or treat this coming week and I was wondering about the best way to give out that candy! Now I'll just do that and the kids can just pick up a little baggie out of the Halloween bucket. Very smart!
We’ve had a trunk or treat on the church calendar since the new year. Haven’t heard any updates, but it’s so easy to social distance at the church owned park we usually have it at. If it is still happening I’m sure there won’t be the annual chili dinner. I also love that the entire neighborhood brings their kids, even if they don’t go to same church as us. I hope your activity is super fun!
@Deanna Goonasekera I picked up a big bag of chocolates and some lolly pops. I will put them in a baggie so that it is easy to hand out. :) We can't do cupcakes this year, we are only allowed to trunk or treat for a 30 minute period.
Wow you really did well with the party. I liked the idea of the scavenger hunt and hope to do something like that when ever I have a party. I was thinking though that you could have done food boxes for the kids where they could pick up one and go. But great party tho
My neighbor next door there ward are doing boo pumpkin with stuff pumpkin plastic one and they leave it on the kids porch and then you made some and pass it on
Well done Melbourne ! All that hard work! "Australia recorded zero local cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, for the first time since June 9" Celebrate! (responsibly )
I love it. You have me thinking I may do this next year for my kiddo. They can have over friends and we could have a nice party. My kids are 12, 5, 2 my oldest hasn't been in to going out for years and the younger ones follow the oldest lol so I think a party next year will be great idea. Plus I live in Florida so it nice all year long lol.
My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I are going as mad scientist for Halloween! We will be wearing lab coats rubber gloves, goggles, and use tongs for the candy!!! We were going to dress up as sumo wrestlers in the those inflatable costumes to keep our distance from everyone!!! Our neighborhood is decorated like a movie set for Halloween so we get about 500 trick or treaters every year. On a regular year we have a neighborhood haunted house with a can food drive. The fire department comes in and hands out candy. The decorations here are over the top! I’ll send you some pictures on Instagram!
I am from Spain, really bad right now here. Fun party, lots of ideas. Halloween is my favourite holiday, this year i decorated my house and even make my own halloween gnomes.

Just curious is this party early because she is a You Tuber or is this usual and it is just an excuse to have a party. in October I have noticed a few having very early events. All Hallows Eve is not until the end of the month at least one more weekend to go be for the date.
@@PinguPango i think you have to be positive dont you, otherwise we'll all crack up. A very small party with the family. With only 13 of us. The corona virus is getting worse here in the San Joaquin county. Their is no way I'm letting my parents near. I'm not sure a party in a state that is seeing cases spike was the most sensible thing to do. Regardless of whether we are free to make our own choices or not is irrelevant, responsibility and common sense must be at the forefront of any decision making just now. I'd love to be doing all the things that are normal for my family but during a pandemic like this hosting parties is pretty low on the list. I watch your channel all the time from Ireland, where we are in another lockdown because of rising cases. Please understand from my point of view - I cannot understand the risk taking and it is parties etc that have caused all the restrictions again here.
“Most of Utah moves to highest COVID-19 risk and restrictions as cases keep climbing”... what were you thinking? Are we all sticking to the rules for nothing
Looks like an awesome and safe party. We've had some get togethers also this summer that were mainly outside at my parents lake house. We did the food the same way as you and had hand sanitizer. None of us got sick. Still gotta try to live life a little. Also, I love all your Halloween decor and your videos. 🎃🕷🕸🍁🍂💀😀
I live in Pa. and there’s no way I would have a party right now. The cases have been going up quite a bit and also my oldest son is getting over the flu, that also seems to be pretty bad already. We usually get our flu shot in the beginning of October but this year I was the only one who could get it because everyone else was sick. I’m assuming it’s not too bad in your area.
I'm hosting a halloween party this year as well since we won't be going anywhere. It's just me, hubby and our kids but I will make it as fun as possible. I plan to buy an ice cream cake, order in some food and hide candy around the house. Then we'll watch a couple of Halloween movies.

You create such fun memories for your family and friends! You are amazing!
Your hubs is just adorbs!! Happy Halloween!!!🎃🎃🎃🎃🍬🍬🍬
I’m doing the clothespin(decorated) clipped candy bags hung from light strings tied to two trees in our front yard!
Thank you for hosting a party for the children. Lord knows they could use all of the fun and love after this year
You're family feels so wholesome and light! Like you never have heavy problems or issues. I want to be part of your family lol
Thank you!
Thank you
@@heatherthepainter2925 Oh I know! I struggle with the exact same issues she does. I know nobody is problem free. All I was trying to say is I love their family and they seem very happy and close
@@lkno2264, I didn’t mean anything by it. Just nobody is perfect. 😊
Looks like a great party...loved to watch the prep. Glad the weather was good.
Party looked like so much fun! Also, Boston is so big and handsome. 💕
enjoyed your vlog Kimmy some great ideas for trick or treaters, we are just having a family get together with chicken curry. deviled eggs, camembert mummy dip with carrot sticks and celery or cucumber, cupcakes with meringue ghosts, petrified peppers filled with humous, or cream cheese sausage mummies, witches broom crackers, gingerbread bats, mini rolls you could try these next year. glad the party went well. love to the family Julie from the UK. xxx
Another great video them cupcakes looked so cute wishing you and all your family a happy halloween 😍 😍
Wow ! Kimmy , you should have your own party planning co. What a great spread .👍💜
Kimmy, you are an entertaining Queen! 💛🎃💛
Halloween party, homemaker style!
Aww I missed the live 😔 I have 2 jobs now so I will miss a lot of lives. My husband lost his job due to covid. I work part time at Cracker barrel in the retail shop right off the freeway in Springville. Have a blessed day Kimmy and Fam💗
You’re awesome for taking on two jobs. I wish you all well. Take care!
The party looked like it was a huge success! So nice to see something "normal". I love all your holiday related videos.
Hi Kimmy! Happy Halloween to you and your Family! Have fun and stay safe...! 👻🎃 😘
Oh I just heard shayley say 'gooooorgeous' like your mummy says it.. Love it. xo
I live in Indiana and it snowed on Halloween last year. We got at least two inches.
BOSTON WINS for his costume!!! LOVED IT!!
You guys did a nice 👍 you guys where so safe and everything looks so nice 👍 Donna
Thank you for sharing! Gave me some really good ideas for my Halloween party!
Hi from Melbourne Australia ... still in Lock Down !! 😷🇦🇺
Hello fellow Melbournian here!
Bring on Sunday!! 🙌
So sorry
Happy Halloween Kimmy 🎃 love from Malta 🇲🇹 Stay Safe
I am from Spain, really bad right now here. Fun party, lots of ideas. Halloween is my favourite holiday, this year i decorated my house and even make my own halloween gnomes.
Loved the video. Where did you get the small dessert boxes with the window?
So fun! Happy Halloween 🎃!
I make my coleslaw the same way you do except I use brown sugar instead of white. Try it, its yummy!
Loved his Halloween costume!
Hello Kimmy! Wow, that was an awesome party!!!!! Everything looked fantastic! I’m sorry I didn’t catch your live 😩. I think I’m going to do the individual bags and leave them on the porch. Have a good day! 😉🎃👻🧙🏻♀️🦹🏼♀️🧛🏻♀️👩🏻✈️🧡
Oh my goodness!!! You're the queen of Halloween!!!! When is your party???
You just saw it. 👍🏻😉
Just curious is this party early because she is a You Tuber or is this usual and it is just an excuse to have a party. in October I have noticed a few having very early events. All Hallows Eve is not until the end of the month at least one more weekend to go be for the date.
You have great ideas, such a cute party🎃
Omg Boston killed it yassss perfect
Always look forward to your halloween videos!
Have a fun Halloween! 🎃 Households are banned from meeting in my part of the UK
Same as my part of the uk, we're tier 2 at the moment 😐
@@catsomk me too.
@@PinguPango Yeah I do, it's hard atm but it won't be forever! Hopefully 😊
@@PinguPango i think you have to be positive dont you, otherwise we'll all crack up. My eldest son is an adult nurse working on the front line, his ward has just been declared a covid outbreak ward today, we are also a vulnerable house hold so it's scary. I feel if we all play our part and do what we should we will all get through this. Lisa 😊
@@PinguPango Thank you! Stay safe 😊
A very small party with the family. With only 13 of us. The corona virus is getting worse here in the San Joaquin county. Their is no way I'm letting my parents near. Anybody they are the only ones I have. Well I have brothers and sisters but i dont have kids or husband. So I taking matters into hands. Please be safe everyone please wear your mask. When you go out. It's good for everyone.
Gatherings and trick or treating are banned in the UK because of covid, so just making grandchildren an at home party. xxx
Cute party games. Love the scavenger hunt for the kids. Great party food... Great costumes everyone....looks like so my fun...
I'll use some of your ideas at our daycare fun week. Thank you!
How fun loved everything 🎃
Can you show us what that game bimbani is played?! That would be fun to learn. Were always into fun family games
Our town is not allowing Halloween trick-or-treating of any kind
How fun and I am loving the food and wish I was eating it !
Its great to go all out and make memories after this trying year. Good for you .....making the most of life. I love it x
It is awful in Utah!
Ok Boston had the scariest costume for sure. 🥺
Happy Halloween 🎃
Happy Halloween to your family.
I'm using skewers and taping candy and having them all in the front yard
We are still at a high level. but hopefully, we won't be lockdown. if we are then things will be different.
Such fun! but I got hungry looking at that spread of food.
I'm hosting a halloween party this year as well since we won't be going anywhere. It's just me, hubby and our kids but I will make it as fun as possible. I plan to buy an ice cream cake, order in some food and hide candy around the house. Then we'll watch a couple of Halloween movies.
I plan on doing something similar. But we always get the Pumpkin shaped pizzas from Papa Johns (I believe). Trying to make it fun and safe.
your parties look soooo awesome 🤗🤗
