Gigi is my favorite singer and this is my favorite performance 'cause I'm old now. This makes me feel like I'm 20 again if only for a moment. I hate growing old.
She's still young but was able to sing this with the emotion of someone who already had a lot of experiences. Imagine listening to her singing this song again in her 50s or 60s. That would be very, very touching but we might no longer be alive coz I'm also old just like you. I also hate getting old. There is so much in life that we can greatly enjoy, like the captivating performances of this young lady but our old age reminds us that those things will end sooner for us than the young ones.
Gigi is Queen of All Genre, and Queen of Covers too. Because they do live stream so they have a long playlists and the songs they performed are usually requested.

As a 61 year old who vividly remembers the Roy Clark classic version. I find a 27 year old singing this to be comedy relief, like 13 year old Angelina "Waiting her whole life to sing for Simon." I have not heard Babs version, but even she was probably on the right side of 40. That having been said, the vocals and emotions are pitch perfect, and I wish I could hear her belt this out in about 30 years.
Actually Angelina Jordan said she waited 10 years to sing for Simon which is true. At 3 years old she told her mom that she wanted to go on that Simon show.
