ONE YEAR ON T: A TRANS SINGER'S PERSPECTIVE

Hey everyone! I'm Mack, I'm 23, and I'm a trans guy. Instead of posting the typical one year on T analysis of bodily changes, I decided to switch it up and talk about my singing voice and using it through my senior year at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Also, one thing that I don't think I made clear was that I took a leave of absence between my junior and senior years of college and began HRT during the March of that break. So when I'm talking about returning to school, that's why.

I also struggle to sing a high E to this day after YEARS of singing with my normal cis voice (ask T. Gregg), but sometimes the high G is easier cuz I'm mixing. Give yourself grace, its seems like you are so happy and doing an amazing job in your field. Cannot wait to hear more from you!

Hi! I'd consider myself more of a baritone or, if you consider it a thing, a baritenor. I'm getting a lot of falsetto back at this point but belting higher than an A is a struggle as of right now.
