Lots of sewing channels don't really teach us how to make a certain dress. That isn't always so straightforward but you really simplified it for us. Thank you ♡ ~
Thank you for going through the multiplications. So much easier then some of the other videos. This was my 1st clothing project as I'm new to sewing and the hardest part was the maths and cutting and joining material to be wide enough. Struggled with the elastic band (it keeps twisting) but I watched some other videos and have sort of fixed it. Great for a first clothing project. Thanks again!
This a great video ❤️ Thank you so much for making it simple & easy to understand! Love the doggie too, this is the second sewing video I've seen today of someone with the fabric laid out on the floor & the dog comes up & stands on the fabric looking for some cuddles and a pat, I think its so sweet 🐶
Thanks for simplifying this process Always wanted to make such a skirt and you make it so easy Impressed that you used bedsheets Just goes to show that one doesn't need expensive fabrics to make a good item Thanks
I'm not the creator, but basically, you get to choose your multiplier, and essentially, what this does is determine how full (aka how many ruffles or how gathered) your skirt will be. So the lower the amount will require less fabric and make dress more smooth and flat as there is not as much gathers, and the opposite for the larger the multiplier.
I think of the multiplier as how much bigger the other sections are in comparison to the first one. The bigger the multiplier the wider at the bottom (flowy) and more ruffled your skirt. She used 1.5 but you could use 2 or 2.5 to create a flowy-er skirt than hers
That's a good idea! Will definitely keep in mind for the next tutorial. Basting stitches are seams with a long stitch lenght where you don't backstitch at the beginning or end so that you can pull the bobbin thread to gather fabric or can be used to keep fabric pieces in place before the final seam - can be helpful with zippers for example. Hope this helps!
Hey, not sure if you still need it but i kinda managed to figure out what lenght i used 1. Total hight : 33cm Total lenght : 132cm 2. Total hight : 38cm Total lenght : 152cm 3. Total hight : 49,5cm Total lenght : 198cm I already converter it to CM and i'm not sure what it is in inch but you can look that up if needed :)

Glad this was helpful! The patterning and cutting is my least favorite

Your designs are amazing! Being in the same field, I know how much attention to detail and skill it takes to achieve this level of work
This is such a nice compliment, thank you so much!!😊
This is amazing for a no experience like me
thank you!! I've made it today, it took about 5 hours... I've used brown corduroy, skirt came out just PERFECT, one of the best item I've ever sewed
So glad to hear!! I love corduroy, sounds cute!
Loved your way of teaching.
Me too, it is so simple and so good❤
You made this so clear! im going to try this later thank you!
does multiplier means x2 of the waist measurement? sorry im very new to sewing hehe
I’ve been saving Pinterest posts of this skirt outfits. Thank you, thank you. 🥹
You’re welcome! Our Pinterest boards are probably similar ☺️
Love your way of teaching❤❤
Love it! Awesome tutorial ❤
Thank you!!😊🩷
What is the full length of the skirt 4:59 after you finished it?
Thank you!!! wish you all the best girl xxx
Hi! this is my first clothing project, I was wondering what size elastic you used. Thank you for the tutorial it looks great!
Thank you! I used a 1 inch elastic
Going to a renfaire tomorrow wish me luck to finish this :D
Hope you had a good time!!
@@shaleseatlante Thank you! I had a lot of fun and the skirt turned out amazing!! Thank you so much! ❤️✨️ :D
I hope you have an amazing day! :D
Heyyy, im having a hard time understanding how you figured out the lenght of each piece, would you mind sharing what measurements you used?❤
Does the 1st layer require a multiplier?
What should be the multiplier? I dont get the utility.
I'm not the creator, but basically, you get to choose your multiplier, and essentially, what this does is determine how full (aka how many ruffles or how gathered) your skirt will be. Is it necessary to overlock? Ikr would zig-zagging be enough? Love this tut thank uuu
I actually don’t have an overlocker and just use zig zag stitch!
@ thank uuu!
Love this 💕great job! So happy to see fellow sewing YT creators ✨
Hii thank you🤗
I would've liked sewing definitions. What are "basting"?? Stitches, mentioned at 4.14seconds? When were they put in, what does this mean?
That's a good idea! Will definitely keep in mind for the next tutorial. what fabric should be used?
Would say you could use any light to medium weight fabric, I like cotton and linen!
Just make sure it’s not too heavy for the gathers, lighter weight fabric will be more flowy too
Really excited to start this as my first project! Could you share how tall you are??
Let me know how it goes!! I'm around 5'6"-5'7"
Mine came out to flowy. How can I change that?
Reduce the width of the fabric
Gorgeous
Thanku...it helped a lot....and it was easy to understand ❤
What fabric?
Would probably recommend a lightweight cotton or linen!
What is the length of each tier taken? We know the height but I wanna know the length
Hey, not sure if you still need it but i kinda managed to figure out what lenght i used
1. Total hight : 33cm
Total lenght : 132cm
2. Total hight : 38cm

Total lenght : 198cm
I already converter it to CM and i'm not sure what it is in inch but you can look that up if needed :)
(gonna make thé skirt now, so i Cant say for sure it's correct but i believe it's pretty acurate)
the math was really confusing, I couldn’t understand a thing :(
What is a multiplier?
It's a number to use to calculate each tier length so that the gathering can be consistent! The larger, the more volume/fabric.
Only if I had that machine lmao
What is a multiplier?
It's just a number you can use to calculate the length of each tier for a consistent amount of gathering!
