It won’t happen, but I would like to see competitors go back to the Golden Rule - don’t move in on the leader. Give him his shot to win. In the future, he returns the favor if the situation presents itself.
There were two giant wild cards in this situation that I think make this a tiny bit different. First was a major one and it was weather. Almost no one ran out to the lake. Couple that with a less than perfect day one and the move makes a lot of sense. The second is aoy. All bets are off if you can win that title. You could argue that’s far more important than that single event. Day 4 Chris has a legit chance to win. It definitely felt greasy, but at the same time it was very unique circumstance. Over all I agree with your point though. Good video
Neither should determine how you act. That’s just a justification for acting a certain way. Remember having character is not when the camera is on but when no one can see you. I’m not saying this about him I’m just saying it in general. If you make an excuse then it doesn’t matter. The weather is irrelevant, that big giant river and you have to go catch them on top of someone else. That’s also an excuse.
I was taught to show respect and find your own fish. I was also mentored by my grandfather in everything B.A.S.S. fishing . Iam near the age of those Johnston brothers and they clearly do things the wrong way . Maybe it’s a Canadian thing?
What I think is no one owns any spot on the water so but also no one should be with in 50yards if you get to a spot first then you fish there because when you are on any spot anyone can take it if they were there first
100% I don't hang out with the guys I helped and then the fake rose to the top on the head of others. I fired them but... the people "out of town" don't see the BS.
I promise there was more behind the scenes that added to the frustration for the J. Bros. It’s not just happenstance that the three roommate rookies show up and start on the exact spot where the Johnston brother have won and done well every single time they’ve gone to SLR. That was absolutely on purpose and I promise it was a strategic move by those three guys. Is that against the rules? Nope. Is it crappy. Definitely.
It might be, that’s why I stated I don’t know what all happened. Either way if you’re gonna do what they did better come up and state it and not leave it up for everyone to figure out. I’ve also seen the flip side of it when I fished against them
Tournament fishing is getting to the point of being an unethical, cutthroat, backstabbing sport. Everyone is hungry for a spot, everyone thinks they are pro. Every BFL I fish, I find myself getting cutoff, screwed over, taken advantage of, someone throwing a wake at me or someone protesting me for something (which I have never been convicted of any rule violation). It takes nerves of steel and a deep passion to stay in it these days.
Just another nail in the coffin of the “big leagues”. I don’t watch and don’t care anymore. It boring and there is so damn much drama, and marketing, from people that don’t even have a redeeming personality it’s not worth my time.

😂Bloody Hell Todd, add the super thanks button so we can help grow your channel lol
Hard enough to make entry fees and get costs covered😅
How long is that his spot? How many tournaments how many years how many spots does he get on any given body water?
There’s nothing I can do if someone has a faster boat than mine and they beat me to a spot that I have been fishing on then that’s there spot until they leave
Rumor has it Cory was able to keep balance on those huge waves because of his huge balls that he let hang . Everyone is soft as fresh baked cookies these days literally was a amzing tourney
I agree!!
Spot on Todd!
"They don't care"- he is describing the entirety of the posters on Bass Boat Central!
Is it bad? 😂😂 I sure don’t get in that
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Toxic lib snake-pit....but act very sanctimonious at the same time.
much respect
The good stuff doesn’t make the six o’clock news because we love dirty laundry!!!
PERIOD. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Your exactly right
It won’t happen, but I would like to see competitors go back to the Golden Rule - don’t move in on the leader. Give him his shot to win.
In the future, he returns the favor if the situation presents itself.
That guy is Hank Cherry! 12:30 Not the most fun being in his boat.
Where was all this you dont move in on the leader when they did it to chris in 2020 on the river pics are on bassmaster with 2 boats 5ft from
There were two giant wild cards in this situation that I think make this a tiny bit different.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924spot on young man!!
It shows the brothers character and the entire league should turn their backs on them.
Agee with you 100%!
Not the first time there was some weird stuff going on in the final event with AOY on the line
My opinion is Chris donked RG ive fished a bunch of Tournament with you and your spot On
I was taught to show respect and find your own fish. I was also mentored by my grandfather in everything B.A.S.S. fishing . Iam near the age of those Johnston brothers and they clearly do things the wrong way . Maybe it’s a Canadian thing?
Can't hold a spot for a year.....that's ridiculous....too many variables at that point.
Id bet my pay check that the Johnstone bros wouldnt do that shit to Milliken or G man!
Spot on take on the matter. Good luck in 2025.
That’s why when I marshal I don’t take pictures most of the time unless the pro asked me to,I marshaled this tournament
Plain and simple...no one gets punched in the face anymore.
Who’s to say the Johnstons didn’t expose that spot that someone showed them a long time ago?
Just another nail in the coffin of the “big leagues”. I don’t watch and don’t care anymore. It boring and there is so damn much drama, and marketing, from people that don’t even have a redeeming personality it’s not worth my time.
Quote " MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL"
Crap move by the Johnston’s! Probably not the first time they’ll pulled this crap.
Its first come first serve.
👍👍👍👍👍
Man I'm tried of hearing that drama I want to see some fish caught
My last 6 videos are all fish catching
I remember the Johnson twitts , years ago couldn’t catch um in a bathtub , u think over years they wouldn’t even think of doing that. Just shows you what kind of men they are, if all the pros didn’t leave they still be at the bottom , Go Gee !
Look up how many AOYs they have in the FLW Northern Costa’s or whatever they called it then. Chris won it when he was 18. Cory didn’t even fish that year.
@@davidhowes3417 Big deal eventually you get lucky , they are unethical men , planned to screw Gee , Did screw him, and if he is so good on his own body of water basically he just finished 17 th ,
As good as Chris is on st Lawrence. I bet he had another 50 good spots but what do I know. I also don’t have a dog in the fight..
