Ohhh yes, truly exposes the human heart. It's amazing how "alive and active" the word of God is. I'm so thankful you're enjoying the study, sis! You always make me smile. Blessings to you!
Amen! From the mouth of Jesus, Believe! Yessssss. I have met people that believe but think they have to become a better person to be in relationship with God. Makes me so sad that they did not know God meets you where you are
Amen. So thankful we don't have to be "good" to come to Jesus. He loves us so much that He offers salvation as a gift. That's mind blowing. Eternally grateful!
This is true, but you can not be in love with sin or still living in sin. As in, you can't be drinking alcohol and having a good time or fornication and having a night out, YOU HAVE TO HATE SIN. The Lukewarm Christain will be vomited out of the mouth of God. It's not about works, but we must stay out of sin and must be spreading the word of God and to do that we must read and practice as much as we can. ❤️🙏💪🏽 God bless you and your family Sister.
This study has been so refreshing in every way! This particular chapter 6 has opened my eyes to many things that I have not seen or heard in past studies. I am receiving revelation and getting to know more about Jesus. I am in "Awe" as well. As I take my time with this lesson, I begin to praise and worship God through it and how my spirit is beginning to grasp the very things that I have been praying on, and that is to grow and learn daily. Blessings! 🙌🏾
Awe, The Bread Of Life! All spiritual renewal begins and ends with God. He reveals truth to us, lives within us, and then enables us to respond to that truth. What more do we need. God is so awesome! Thank you Kim for sharing your gift with us.
"All spiritual renewal begins and ends with God".....amen! The Alpha and Omega. He is our everything. I so agree....what more do we need? So thankful to be studying with you, Janice!
Lord I thank You for showing us who You are by tending to our physical need. I love the bread analogy between spiritual and worldly. I don’t need 🍞 BUT I need that Eternal bread which is why I must be intentional about clinging. I pray that unlike Philip that I see ministry and Jesus’ invitations and teaching over worldly things.
Yes, yes, and amen....so important to be intentional about clinging. I NEED that eternal bread as well! Every. Single. Day. So thankful the Lord invites us to walk closely with Him ALWAYS!
Amen, Kirstie. The word will definitely lead us to self evaluate! So thankful that His grace is always three. So glad to be studying with you, sis! Blessings to you!
Awesome word I just did a devotional plan that talkes about following Christ this was right on point. God know exactly what we need and when we need it. I'm so in awe of him and his will for my life. I want and need to cling to him and his word. Thank you sis for blessing me with this lesson. God bless you
Thank you, Kim, for following Jesus and continuing His Work in this hungry world. The world needs to understand, through scripture, just Who it is their souls and spirits are hungering and thirsting for..., Jesus!!! 🙏❤️❤️❤️☝️
Beautifully spoken and so true is this beautifully annointed message of Holy Spirit filled truth about our beloved Lord and Savoir my beloved sister in Christ. I love and believe in Jesus with all my heart and soul and i praise His Holy Name daily.as He is my light my life and my hope and my song my rock and my fortress. May the good Lord bless you richly and always my belloved sister in Christ as you preach the gospel of our Beloved Lord and Savior so beautifully and truthfully. 💖💖
Amen, Lana, I love that Jesus is ALL those things to us, every single day. He is so faithful! Thank you for your sweet encouragement. So thankful to be studying with you!
I am so thankful to be studying with you, Kim! Thank you so much. "To whom shall we follow" - wow what powerful words. They touched my heart greatly. This chapter is so exciting - I have heard of these miracles with the bread and walking on water many times before - but today I truly understand them. I understand god and I am enjoying walking with him and clinging closely.
This is sooo Great wish I would of had a mentor in my life earlier like this. I learned the hard way doing me and doing my own thing but when I fell hard in life I couldn’t get me out no one but the Lord can do that. I’m clinging now for the rest of my life I get frustrated sometimes because this is a lot but I just have to be like an oven and not a microwave. Whew Lord. Thank the Lord for the ability to learn and getting to know him how do we learn unless we fall oh and karma is not cute either when you out there doing you. She realllll ugly and this is real talk.
This was so powerful sis! John Chapter 6 is probably one of my favorite chapters. I pray that you and I are true followers of Christ as in Deut 13:4. THANK YOU SO MUCH SIS! MUCH LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU. HUGS TOO! :)
Praise the lord I believe and I seek the lord I need god to work on me. I believe his word and gospel. The lord is so good without him we would not be breathing or living. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME I NEED GOD IN ME AND MY CHILD'S LIFE...HEAL OUR LAND LORD 🙏 HEAVENLY FATHER WE NEED YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING!!!
Focus on the Kingdom and He will give us each day what we need. Remind me of Deuteronomy 5:32 You shall not turn aside to the right or to the left. Keep you eyes on God The Creator of all. Love you Kim, Thanks for this lesson that continue to bring my walk closer to God.. #cling #focusalso
Kim, enough with this, stay out my business LOL. You rock, yet another great bible study. The question at the end, WOW. Why do I follow God? thank you again for being a willing vessel. I love and had to pray on Verse 42, Knowing Jesus parents how they tried to throw that in His face. That's just like people we know or have crossed paths with. They know your past and feel that change can't happen. But Jesus stood firm. I love it.
Sis, this is so good about verse 42.... YES, people know your past and where you came from and think you can't change. BUT. GOD. He makes ALL the difference. Thank you for these nuggets! Such a blessing to be studying with you, sis!
This was the first time I pictured hearing as a Jew the words about eating MY flesh and blood. Jews weren’t to eat blood in animals and just seems nutty to eat MY flesh. I can see why some would turn away at the time. As a follower after the resurrection, it makes sense after the fact.
You pointed out that it says " He distributed the loaves to those seated ", but in the kjv it says he distributed the loaves to the disciples who distributed to those seated. I read it from the niv Bible and it too said "he " I shared that with a friend and she showed me the kjv says it differently., this was frustrating. 😂 I imagined Jesus handing out bread personally now that's gone with the kjv 🤷
Tiffany: I asked my pastor if he could research this, and he passed me this "Literal Translation" from the original texts: He wrote: "The literal translation of John 6:11 from my interlinear is: "Took therefore the loaves - Jesus and having given thanks distributed to the (ones) lying down, likewise also of the fishes as much as they wished"." So, I am still going to hold onto the idea that maybe Jesus handed out the bread himself and looked each individual in the eyes and knew their hearts. I love that intimate image, and it does go with the intimate picture of Jesus that we see throughout John!
@@kristenzarlengo4686 research it yourself because i looked at the greek interliner and it wasn't Jesus personally. And it doesn't make much sense for Him to have personally passed it out. That was 5,000 men besides men and children. It would be a waste of time and unnecessary since he had disciples who could help Him. He was human so He could get tired. www.abarim-publications.com/Interlinear-New-Testament/John/John-6-parsed.html#.XvaIS8uJLIU
“Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
Sadly, Your interpretation of Chapter 6 is wrong. It was the Passover - Coincidence? Think Back The Jews had to literally Eat the Lamb or the 1st Child would die. John the Baptist called Jesus the Lamb of God. Jesus offered Bread & Wine at the Last Supper - which by the power of the the Holy Spirit becomes his actual Body & Blood to The FATHER. He then give his Actual Body & Blood to the Apostles even though it looks like ordinary bread & wine. Eating his Body & Blood gives you Eternal Life. John 6:66 (just a coincidence) His disciples leave. Jesus never tells these disgruntled disciples that they must eat his symbolic Flesh & Blood. My Flesh is True Food, My Blood is True Drink. Why not? What so hard about that? The disciples left because they knew exactly what Jesus was saying. That they must eat his actual Body & Blood. Why doesn't Jesus just explain himself as he does in many other bible verses. See 1 Corinthians 10:16 That IS an extremely hard teaching. The manna was not a symbol. Believe in Jesus. The Church has always taught that the Eucharist is the Actual Body & Blood of Our Lord. Praise his Holy Name.
