Southampton were out of the picture anyway before their Leicester game, in regards from a Leeds perspective. Let's say Saints won at Leicester, they'd now be 3 points behind us instead of 6 - In order for Southampton to get above us we'd have to drop points v QPR then lose to Saints on the last day. And if we did that, we wouldn't be getting top 2 anyway because Ipswich and Leicester would finish above us. Therefore Saints gaining points had zero impact on us, so a Leicester win would've 100% been the better outcome.

Against Middlesbrough, when Summerville was put through.... I thought he should twat it first time with his left foot... loads of space, keeper not on top of it... and he cut back inside... I shouted "Oh fuck off" because, the left foot option was a WAY BETTER chance and there was absolutely no chance that another set of dopey defenders would fall for the same old bloody trick, week in week out... and the angle wasn't that good this time either. Anyway.

We didn't play that well against Boro, Rutter for me was a let down, he kept on giving the ball away, I know he earned a penalty, but still some of his play has caused us problems, for me there is a big hole in midfield, we seem to be non existent in this area, Boro had control of the midfield, Gnonto was offside for is goal (though well taken), but the ref did us a favour which for me was not right as we have been complaining all season about decisions going against us, but that's life, the main worry is our defence its looks edgy and is leaking goals and Meslier is being targeted for one on ones with 50/50 balls as we all know he flaps this is a worry for the next game. Talking about ref decisions Boro should have had a man sent off for James injury, he was badly tackled and some teams who play are accused of this type of tactic, in this case the game would have ended as the actual result. I hope Joseph starts with Piroe or Gnonto with Anthony, this could work, and I hope for the next game we don't pass the ball back to Meslier in goal when we are more then half way into the oppositions territory! hoping for a good win ***MOT***
I really dont get this “its ok to stay in the champo” we all consider leeds to be one of the giants of English football yet we’ve spent more time in the lower leagues than in the top one! Its embarrassing not being in the premier and once we get there its all about becoming a top half prem side permanently, just like scum,city, bin dippers, arsenal and spurs.
I feel so torn between the desire to achieve the objective of automatic promotion (or promotion in general) vs looking at the state of the PL (top club bias, VAR etc) and thinking it's going to be shit if we go up.
I agree this current squad has done great with players on the bench being as good as players on the pitch but this is in the championship, I personally think we are way off a premier league squad. If we go up and I think we will we need at least 6 premier league standard players. That's obviously with us keeping hold of Summerville, Gnonto, Rutter, James, Roddon, Gray and Ampadu.
