Senna fan also. Own an 02 Carrera 42mm, Aquaracer 200, Aquacer Solargraph titanium and an original Formula 1. Love the brand more than my Explorer. Carrera is the racer's watch. And Tag owns racecars.
I have owned a mechanical Heuer since 1969. I finally bought another when the 39 mm, tri-compax, vertical clutch/column wheel came out in 23. So uber smooth chronograph start. I bought it in 2024 and it is spendy but the Glass Box sapphire sandwich is awesome. Not a big fan of their quartz but man, I love my new TAG! Fine review! Thanks
Hey there! Thank you. Yes, I do prefer mechanical as well but this one was 40% off at the time of purchase so it was a no brainer at the time. I am debating if I should sell and get an automatic instead. Thanks for watching!
Since this is a quartz model, the battery must be replaced every few years or so. But in looking at the caseback, I noticed that it has no detents for a caseback wrench to grab onto to unscrew the back. I am sure that sending it back to Tag Heuer Service Center they know how to open it, but I would like to be able to change the battery myself (like I do on other watches), but I do not see how to unscrew the caseback (or does it pry off?). Previous Tag Heuer quartz models (and most automatics) has the detents to unscrew the caseback.
@@RageAgainstTime I did search Google before posting the question. Subsequently I think I may have found the answer. Apparently the bezel and bezel spring must be removed on the front, revealing 6 screws that hold the case on the back in place. But I am not 100% sure of that.

Hey there, I no longer have this watch. I never got to change the battery so I'm no help on the subject. Maybe a Google research would help? Regards
@@RageAgainstTime If you know someone who works at a jewelry store maybe you can ask them.
