Yeeeah! I'm so happy when I see you have posted a Thrift to treasure video! Love all the projects, but the little stool is my favorite. Thank you, Sonnet. ❤
You created the prettiest little footstool! The buttercream white and the periwinkle blue look delightful together, and the transfer pattern was just made for the piece!
It's beautiful. I think it's amazing you got the basket gifted to you. That was the sweetest thing. I can't believe I missed your sale. It's really hard to work and catch sales and watch lives. I love those roses you used. ❤❤❤❤
I could never paint my Longerber basket but I have seen some beautiful ones that have been restained in beautiful colors. Love the picnic basket with roses.
Sonnet, i noticed that on SOME of your projects, when you use those GORGEOUS transfers, you lay down your "Big Top" down BEFORE the transfer gos on, where as other times, i DONT see you put it on FIRST?!?! Is there a reason it "Should or Should Not go on a project first"??? THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH SWEET FRIEND, THEY ARE ALLLL SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! ❤❤❤
Hi Dora! Yes the reason I put Big Top down is because I have used either Milk Paint or DIY paint which requires a sealer first before applying a transfer. If I don’t put on a sealer then I am using Fusion Paint which has a built in sealer, so I can apply the transfer as soon as the paint dries. Hope this helps! 😊
I just learned my lesson yesterday about letting my paint and top coat dry before putting down a transfer. I was able to fix the situation but lesson learned for sure.
Your upcycles ALWAYS look professional and beautiful! I have a quick question though... I've been told that in order to paint something such as the top of that picnic basket and not get the paint over the edge, you paint from the center towards the edge. However, even if I try that, I still manage to get paint over the edge. Do you have any tips for me on how to get a crisp edge where painters tape won't fit or you can't use tape? Thank you ❤❤❤

Yes, they have to be completely dried before applying the transfer. Glad you were able to fix the issue! 😊

I usually keep a wet baby wipe handy if I can’t tape an area. That way I can wipe it off immediately. 😊

where are the maker box stuff we see IOD all the time
Hello Jo, I do one release a month for the Makers Box and it was uploaded just yesterday. 😊
Just to clarify, it's Long-a-berger, not Long-en-berger. I recognized it as a Longaberger instantly, painted or not 😂
Thank you. 😊
