- Today, Bixpy is redefining the electric marine motor space again with the introduction of the K-1 Motor and K-1 Outboard Kits, a major upgrade and their latest and most advanced motor and battery system yet.

The K-1 Motor is roughly 20% shorter in length than its predecessor, the J-2 Motor, yet offers the same massive output the J-2 motors provided in a quieter, more sleek, and more rugged aluminum housing.
The K-1 Motor is equipped with a highly efficient and finely tuned brushless motor for optimal performance when paired with its NASA-inspired propeller, the Bixpy PowerShroud™ and finely tuned Bixpy Batteries.
The K-1 Motor is offered along with more than 20 different mounting adapters from Bixpy to allow for plug-and-play installation of the motor on hundreds of existing kayaks, paddle boards, and other small personal watercraft.
The K-1 Motor can be paired with an improved version of the company's existing PP-378 battery (Version 4) or the new PP-768 battery, released in early February of 2023, which provides more than 24 hours of run time with the K-1 platform.

Any support for the Hobie Mirage 360 drive?
I have the Hobie Mirage Outback and the adaptor and motor works amazingly with insertion into the drive port. So far, I really like the setup.
Bixby do you think the k-1 would work on a craig cat just for approach and docking? Opportunity for a compatible mount, maybe for 2 k-1's?
Can you still disconnect the motor from the rudder like the J1 or J2?
Could any of these be used on an RC boat, from a distance?

Where did you get the dolphin for the video?
Dolphins are huge fans of Bixpy Motors so it happens a lot. Our Motors are Marine Life Friendly so Dolphins and Manatees are safe to say hi :) This Dolphin in particular was in Baja.

what is the range for the different batteries?
the standard size battery can run for up to 10 hours continuously at trolling speeds and the larger battery can run up to 22 hours continuously at trolling speeds. The distance you can travel also depends on which speed you are running as well as the current/wind.
How fast will the K1 get a solo kayak ?
It depends on the kayak's width, but we see most kayaks landing between 4-6mph depending on the design
Can this motor be mounted through a lynx drive well?
Hi there. Unfortunately not. The best option for the Lnyx is to use our Power Pole Adapter www.bixpy.com/powerpole. You can use a custom 3M Adhesive to attach this adapter directly to the back of your Lynx kayak. Here's a link for that adhesive - bixpy.com/3m-double-sided-vhb-power-pole-mounting-adhesive. This is how we have installed the motor to the Lynx you see in most of our videos. The advantage of this installation is that you will be able to keep your pedal drive, and it offers steering and a kickup feature if you need those features. Hope that helps.

@@Bixpy Got it thanks, i'm assuming that you're locking the motor straight and using the lynx's rudder to control. Did you also have special screws for the lynx's foam body vs. hard plastic of other typical kayaks?
