As a propulsion engineer at Blue Origin, this is one of the best space documentaries I’ve seen in many years and renewed my excitement about the aerospace industry.
This video made me feel like an excited nerdy kid again. I hope you inspire the next generation of engineers, as you surely inspired me. Great to hear from others in the industry!!

Man that means the absolute world to me. We made this move for 3 audiences: (1) young people who might decide to work in space one day, (2) general audiences who want a primer on the state of the frontier, (3) people who WORK in industry!
If we have our way we'll make a whole series about New Space, maybe we can film with Blue more for it :)

With Elon Musk on board there's no reason for any of us to believe he has any interest in doing anything but designing weapons and weapons delivery systems for the military and the Network States he and his ghoulfriends want to build. SpaceX is not a trustworthy company until that psychopath is gone.

This video really awakened something in me. Especially seeing how excited each and every person interviewed is about space for different reasons.
Orbital manufacturing and construction are definitely the big points for me. I can't wait to see a lunar base with a permanent presence (not colonies - think like antarctic bases with people rotating in and out so there's always someone present)

This Documentary beautifully summarises why Investing in Space is Important and Essential. Its so perfectly put together and the interviews with top aerospace CEO's and engineers provide a much deeper insight on the importance of this new Venture. This is what the Mainstream media miss out, the pure hard work, determination and inspiration to keep going.
Thank you so much for making this it Amazing!!

"Why do you think we humans, want to go to space?" The answer is in the question. We want space. and We call THAT OUT THERE, "Space". IT is by definition what we want. We want space. we want frontier. we want challenge. And as civilization becomes more and more encompassing, our own creation strangles us, and is beginning to strangle our children in the crib. We need space for us, our families, our species, for life itself. Life, not just humans, seeks space.

We need to make videos that are well done, exciting, fascinating, and convey some urgency for all the trades and large verticals. Clothing, design, logistics, data warehouses, AI, robotics, etc.

Loved the film, amazing job! Just wanted to say that the "dark energy" assumption is no longer needed to arbitrarily make formulas "work". Instead, there is now a much more elegant theory called Quantised Inertia that does away with dark matter/dark energy, no longer needs the gravitational constant, and which accurately predicts various anomalies, for example in galaxy rotation.

The production quality of this is fantastic. Well done S3 team!
(Side note; why the name change? S3 is better IMO)
Edit: Didn't know that guy who was involved with the human genome project and CRISPR was investigating genetic solutions to radiation exposure and microgravity - that's somehow equal parts awesome and fantastic, and also terrifying to think about since we're discussing genetic engineering.
I know genetic engineering exists - there are some viral vector treatments for genetic conditiosn where a modified virus is used to alter someone's DNA. It's very uncommon and I can't think of any conditions off the top of my head that use it (although they exist). So it's wild to think that perhaps it'd be possible to undergo a similar treatment to boost radiation resistance or other alterations to handle microgravity better.
It's real sci-fi stuff and who knows what else could be possible? There are a lot of ethical quagmires to consider... but the possiblities are also endless.
Edit2: I think orbital manufacturing is my big interest. If you can construct spaceships in orbit, you're no longer limited by single launches, atmospheric flight requirements or payload dimensions. That opens up a LOT of options for advanced designs. You could build true space-only vehicles for shuttling between, say, earth and the moon or earth and mars. You could build space stations more readily and with more advanced designs. You could build highly specialized craft for operations such as asteroid mining. All you need to do is cart the materials and components up and put them together.
In a way, we already do that with space stations. But all the modules have to be constructed on the ground and face limitations in dimensions such as diameter. What if we can offload more of the manufacturing from earth to space? Ship up panels instead of modules and assemble them up there instead of down here? What could be possible with that?
Edit3: The comment the terraform guy said about negative mass or negative pressure? The maths checks out for those. So in theory, it should be possible. But like he said, the hard part is figuring out how to get that and it'll take a lot of energy. Antimatter drives are surprisingly realistic - we know antimatter exists. The maths for an antimatter drive checks out. There are rudimentary concept designs on paper that should work. But like he said, we can't produce antimatter (at least not in meaningful quantities currently). There are some theories about harvesting antimatter from the space around earth, so that could be a solution in the mid-term.
Edit4: I'm a big nerd, just like each and every one of these individuals in the video. Unfortunately, I have virtually no experience with hands on stuff and haven't finished my mechanical engineering degree. It feels very out of reach for me seeing all these companies and what they're doing. Am I really capable of getting into these fields? I know of a few companies in my country - even my city (e.g. RocketLab, Dawn Aerospace) but am I really capable of getting into those fields and making meaningful contributions?
