The country isn't as divided as MSM makes it out to be and MAGA Republicans only make up 15% of the registered voters at best, out of the 60% of Americans that are actually registered to vote. Over 40% of the Registered Republican voters, stated they weren't voting for Trump at all and half of them stated they were going to vote for Biden over Trump even if Nikki Haley, who they voted for in the primaries, didn't win the Primary. they are sick and tired of the fascist MAGA movement taking care very the Republican party. There is nothing conservative about MAGA at all. So thus the old school conservatives don't support Trump at all. The conservatives y'all call RINOs for not supporting Trump over their own interests.
I'm not American. But my son is. I am concerned trump will be elected and take away the People's Constitution. It sickens me he uses the People's Constitution to hide behind and as his platform, while planning if elected to abolish it.

It is good news for all of humanity, including R voters, whose states suffer the worst under R's "leadership."
I'm glad they're saying "health of the mother" rather than "life of the mother." All too often, when the word is "life", they've put the mother's life at risk because they felt that they needed to wait. If they're worried about the "health" of the mother, that doesn't require her to be as "at risk" as with the other wording.

When the standard is only to save the mother's life, doctors can be intimidated into waiting until death seems immanent. That increases the risk that for some patients intervention will be too late to save the life. Plus it assumes that permanent harm short of death is totally cool.✌🖖

I'm from KY but I sent Jon Tester a donation to help him out a couple of weeks back also.
I've spent a significant portion of my adult live in Montana. While Tester is not as progressive as I would like (it's Montana, I can't put ideology above pragmatism), he is far from the worst Democratic senator. I'll be canvassing for him this fall and getting out the vote!

He's a lot more conservative than I prefer, but he's honest about it and doesn't play FU games like Manchin and the entire Republican party.

@@angelikalindenau943 Indeed, have you seen some of their efforts to set up other groups (furries, most comically) as 'backup enemies' in case they either successfully eradicate trans people or have to stop going after them for some reason? The litterbox conspiracy theory and whatnot? They've always got to have four or five enemies in the pipeline of radicalizing their base into fear and hatred of, to keep the teeth pointed 'outward' or 'downward' and away from the economic and political causes of their misery. Fascism always requires an enemy.

What annoys me as a male. Why in the hell do we even need to revisit this. The issue was put to bed 50 damn years ago. You can not give a segment of the population a right for that long, then remove it and expect them to go quietly.

So, hypothetically, if the people in one state were to elect a pack of theocratic control freaks and ripoff artists at the state level, that state might get a bunch of really shitty laws that applied within it, and to remove those laws would require electing people who were not complete assholes.

The GOP is a mess all over the place. A friend of mine in PA politics said the GOP can’t muster a candidate for Senate.
The GOP Pennsylvania senate candidate is McCormick who unsuccessfully ran against Dr Oz last election cycle for senate. His wife was Trump’s 1st Deputy National Security Advisor (she didn’t want to stick around after Trump’s first year in office!)
Fun fact: McCormack is a hedge funder who actually lives in CT. I’m getting Dr. Oz vibes.

How come The people of Texas can't get women's rights added to the Texas ballot in 2024? Just like Montana?
The rules for amending constitutions, etc. vary from state to state. That option might not be available in Texas.
Cos the ones in power are hillbillies, cowboys and rednecks who hate and want to control women.

Plus Dakota Rhodes is running for Montana's legislature as a Democrat, after turning in his insurrectionist father Stewart Rhodes, founder of Oathkeepers, to the authorities after Jan 6th. He has got a stiff uphill battle, since his district went 76% to DJT in 2020, but he'd going to get out and try to educate his neighbors about the progressive platform they could make happen if he gets elected.

I thought this was something you were saying was expected of them by Trump or because they almost always fall in line, but they literally have to give 5% of their fundraising to his campaign if they use his name or likeness at all, with an expectation that they should give more.
That makes his fundraising look even worse and hurts their ability to win so many positions. TV ads and such are a big thing when it comes to saying swing voters and getting unlikely voters to turn out, but it hurts a lot when they're limited to even holding rallies that get their base enthused and likely to vote.
The GOP needs to get rid of Trump to stand any chance of getting elected.
And the rest of the traitors on the GOP
People power should never be underestimated. Good for you Montana.
I'd rather I lived in a world where we didn't have to make these kinds of calculations... but here in reality, I'll take whatever we can get to outvote these people, and keep them from increasing their power over us.

Reproductive rights are always on the ballot. Here in Kansas, even though we have already voted to support reproductive rights, the state house is continually proposing bills that restrict and make reproductive rights more difficult. Every election is Roevember. #VoteBlue

Over Christmas break we were at my parents' house and the TV was on while we were playing cards. I looked up and realized that my 7-year-old had just watched two ridiculously over the top smear campaigns for that senate seat, one for each side. Christmas. Neither side deserves that seat.
Wow, we don’t have a lot of money, so I try and run the advertisements. By the time I clicked the thumbs up, the likes went from 222 (my like) to 437! Up to 620 by the time I finished ad #2! 906 by the time you signed off on my viewing.
