    This man has done so many interviews and if you watch enough, his stories are always the same. That's why i feel he is being truthful. I really believe Michael is sharing his story as inspiration not just for money. He's repaid his debt to society and trying to be a better human being. Sammy is a straight up POS and lucky Michael gives him any time of day so he can make that YT $$$.

      Michael is definitely the real deal but one could bitterly say he coasted in that life off his father's name and reputation to have been given the positions and power he held in those days. I'm pretty certain he was only a caporegime in place of his father while the latter was serving his time in prison, and was officially inducted before a lot of other guys due to his father as well. Sammy babbled as much in his sit-down with Michael which may or may not be accurate, but Michael was clearly a capable earner with a great business acumen. He was probably not a traditional street guy, but someone like Sammy will always point and say Michael rode on his father's reputation through that whole life, and got to walk away because of it. Sammy, meanwhile, will give himself a lot of credit for rising in the Mafia ranks from the bottom without any family connections, name, or help.

    • @FMD023
      @FMD023 Рік тому

      @@citypopFM coasted? When you’re made man why are u important ? You bring in that $$$. I’m sure Michael’s Dad didn’t give that gas business to him on a platter. That was his great business skills. He was smart enough to go to med school but instead a great entrepreneur in thr crime world. I guess it’s what u like. Either root for the street guys who usually ends up getting merked or spicy like Sammy or u play politics. Honesty it’s much easier being on the streets. Now I’m not gonna say I’m from the hood but I know how easy it is to take a life to eliminate a threat because I was overseas. It’s quit easy n I don’t take pleasure in telling my friends when they ask the famous questions. If I couldn’t do my job I wouldn’t be home talking to them. Playing politics and keeping crooked high officials happy is tough because they only like u cuz they get to eat too. That’s why I never chose being a cop because I’d be straight as a circle and make a great politician because I’d end up in jail. And Remember he did it to try to get his dad out of jail and his dad even agreed to a hit on his own son. Would you have an open heart for your pops if he gave the ok u merk u? I Duno bout u but I’d take being on Forbes top30-40 as someone making boatload of money over bragging bout murdering dudes on the streets.

    Don Franzese, I love your interviews. 70 years old and looks like he's in his 50s. You did your time, and got out alive. As the times changed, you evolved into the man that you are today. Respectful, articulate, knowledgeable, and more importantly willing to share his story without a ton of unnecessary embellishment. This is how gangsters should move, keep it quiet and classy.

    It appears as though John may have never learned to keep his mouth closed. The reason he had to move on Paul was because he and others were caught on tape discussing everything from drug trafficking to the commission. Then after becoming boss, he gets caught on tape again discussing everyone’s business from business to murders. Had Sammy taken the fall for Gotti and Gotti walked free, I think it’s likely that he would’ve been indicted again within the next few years for talking on tape.

      I live beside if Pikeville, KY were Eric lived in a multi million dollar home. Lol. His law office was made up of around 6-8 double wide trailers that were all connected together!! Outside of his office sat a $500,000 statue of Aberham Lincoln & I'm not even kidding!! Lol. Eric was everywhere & on everything!! The TV news, the paper, he literally had like 50-60 billboards in the area & ran commercials constantly on TV!! One year he paid $100,000 to run a commercial during the super bowl. The commercial onle ran in the loca market, it wasn't seen nationality, but still lol. In 2005 Eric offered to buy out high school yearbook!! What I mean by that is that Eric would buy the entire student body a yearbook, completely free to us kids. The catch was that the front & back covers would be his logo, which is a bright yellow frame style layout with his picture in the center & his info there somewhere too. Also every page had to have a small advertisement & every 5-6 Page's, Eric got a full 2 page advertisement!! He was willing to spend $30k buying each student a copy, along with $15k to the school to use as they seen fit. Eric contacted Mrs. Fain, the teacher who overseen the yearbook committee, with his proposal. Mrs. Fain had the authority to make the deal, but she turned him down. When she said no, he offered her $25,000 cash under the table to make it happen!! She again declined & Eric eventually went up to $50k with his cash, under the table payment to her!! Being the woman she is, she refused, but he still called her every week, trying to make a deal, until the yearbook finally went to print!! I know one thing, Eric C. Conn wouldn't have offered me $50k to do it!! Because I would have gladly accepted the $25k!! Haha

    All these guys talking about how young he looks, what do you expect? Imagine how much money this guy has spent on plastic surgery lol. Of course genetics play a role but do people really think he'd look the same way if he wasn't a wealthy man with a healthy bill at a top plastic surgeon? People are so gullible and mobsters (ex or otherwise) are adept at taking advantage of such people.
    I wonder how many people have joined his Inner Circle Jerk or bought his wine, books and whatever else he's selling?
    No hate on the guy but he is what he is, and I don't buy the Christian facade like Giuliani does. Even if he does pray and attend church and all that, it doesn't change who he is, and if he is still living off of ill-gotten gains, then he wont be treated very kindly at the pearly gates lol.
