Luffy is the first person she go to and call when she need help both mentally and physically.. example for this is when Robin got caught and she learned that Robin is lying to save SH crews, she told chopper happily about that news, but broke down in tears when she ask Luffy to save Robin. Just like when Sanji left the group, she hugged Luffy in tears for comfort. Just like Nojiko said, since childhood Nami never cry nor ask someone for help, so Luffy is the first one she ask help from. And she did it while crying. Luffy frees her from the physical and emotional trauma that Arlong cause, and since then she trusts Luffy with her life more than anyone. Luffy is Nami's emotional anchor. Someone she can pour out her real emotion to. Someone she can always depend on. And Likewise, Luffy never even once doubt Nami. Luffy always trust her even when Nami betrayed him by going back to Arlong and Luffy even get so mad and threatened Johnny when Johnny said Nami killed Usopp. This contrast greatly to when Luffy believe Zoro wrecked a village even though Luffy heard that news from unreliable sources. And Luffy trust her enough to give almost all captain's authority to her when they're sailing the ship. Despite not good at fighting, Luffy never consider Nami to be weak. As proof of this is when in skypea when Nami said she deserve to hold the whistle because she is weak, Luffy was shocked and said "You are?" Luffy also always encouraged her when she show off her lightning while laughing and clapping, saying "I knew you can do that". Luffy also never stop her fighting strong opponent like Cracker and trust her to fight alongside him, as he trust her to win. Like other crews, Luffy also always trust her navigational skill and brag about it to other people. And Nami is the only person Luffy give his straw hat to for emotional support when Nami begin to panic. Like in Arlong park and in Skypea when they battle Enel. She also the only one he trust to repair and modificate the straw hat. Nami is also the only SH crews that Luffy tell the full sentimental value of the straw hat. I dare to say Luffy trust Nami more than anyone in strawhat crews. Luffy and Nami dynamic is so good and well-written. Nami will help Luffy to sail and do day-to-day chores in the sea. And Luffy will give Nami physical and emotional security when they land. They are two different people who try to be equal by complementing each other's shortcomings.

Tbh, Robin and ussop also wear his hat but it's not like luffy gave his hat to them, they take it from him and wear it, luffy only give his hat and food to nami but noone else, like in Arlong park arv he gave to her then many one piece opening he gave to her, one of one piece opening said that Luffy gave his hat to nami because nami cried all night and Robin told luffy that nami cried so he put it on her head after that she was feeling a lot better, in albasta arc and little garden he share his food to nami only, also he told that he don't share his food to anyone! I don't understand why people being blind folded over this ship and ignore it, they all just seen Hancock having crush on luffy but what about luffy's feeling 🥲
