Hi RRB My GF wanted to replace a good ceiling fan to have one with that oil rubbed bronze look, I prepped and painted the fan with bronze paint and rubbed copper paint on it using your method. Looked good !!! Now she sees her nice oil rubbed bronze fan, I see a rat rod fan and I took rest of the day off with pay!! HEH HEH HEH!!!
Bin Roden. I like that name too. lol. That red oxide looks like Copper from here. I mean if Yellow don't work. Bob all you have to do is put that entire car together, again. The project that never ends is a Hot Rod. You gettin it Bob.
Ha haa ... I heard that! Most painters go by the book ... I thru the book out long ago just so I could be different than all the other cars at the car show.
Your buddy is smart. platinum suede sounds a lot better that hot rod gray. LOL Just like black suede is superior to flat black. Good marketing strategy for Rustoleum if they were listening. Make any color suede just by doing overspray on the last coat. LOL
Man, I just love that paint job. I cant wait for you to put it all together. Bob ,you are a great fabricator, and I really love how you void the warranty on all that stuff.. Ok, I will be waiting for the next one.
Looking real good Bob! Lots of work but all worth it in the end. Got to love Ole Red he's back to thinking about Elvira again lol. Keep up the great work brother take it easy 👍🏻
Rod's looking slick Bob! You're educational and entertaining. Watching your makes me feel like I'm in some kinda school of Ratrodology...oh wait, I AM in the Skool of Ratrodology. Love watching you man!
Pleased you're building a SB Ford 🙂 Seems not too many folks chose them these days. I've always preferred Fords because they put the distributors up front. 😛
Gonna hafta try your trick sometime.. Might even do my whole frame like that, if you don't mind. Making good progress with all the paint work, it takes time!
I like it when other folks take my ideas and use it on their stuff. So yea ... go for it brother. It's really easy too! Make sure the black paint is cured and the silver is dry on the rag and rub easy to start. You're gonna love it!
Try it ... play with it and just have fun on some test pieces with different colors. The Sliver on Black is my favorite though. Did you see the copper on black on the radiator I did a few videos back?
RR Bob, now that the A Rod has been framed does it need an alibi if it gets pulled over with Red at the wheel? Looks like she's gettin' ready to go back together except for the engine that is all done but the finishin'! Great video! Thanks!
Yep .. the only thing left is to finish up. LOL Red is gonna look good driving this one. If we get pulled over I'll just tell em he's a student driver. Should be fine ....... ...... probably not. LOL
This one has not been a lot of fun ... mixing performance parts with OME parts is not as easy on a SBF as a SBC. But it would be great if I had another set of eyes checking this thing out.
If chevy had put their distributor in the front of the engine like ford did, most likely it would of been probably the only engine used in any rig. Fords are so particular as to what and why. I don't know why but a guy can get a chevy running on four cylinders and they even be badly adjusted yet a fords just harder for some reason. I ain't getting the words out of my head like I am a thinking. I sure will be happy when Heidi gets here and I can get her to help with some packaging@@RatRodBobBuilds
Now Bob Me and Don want Green and I think we Should let the People Decide So Just ask in the next Video Iffin ya ant already painted it yet . Green or Yella I think Green with Red Interior on top of the flat Black paint on the inside would really Pop ! Do the Stitches on the Outside Like the Fame it will Tie it together mabe dabble a little Red on a Few of the Stitches make it look Like it's Bleeding
Looking real good Bob, did you get a new camera, when you was outside with the frame that was some high definition, can’t wait for the engine build, later😀😀
I'm gonna start with a dark yellow and rub black over that and see what happens. Not gonna be the bright yellow that was on the radiator shroud. That's the fun part about building rat rods ... if you don't like it you can change it.
My favorite channel. Every time a new video pops up, I drop everything and click on it..
Thanks brother for keeping it going!
Lookin' better with every video Bob! Can't wait to watch the 302 build.
I have built a couple 302’s. They ran after. I count that as a success.
Old Red got quiet when threatened with the plasma cutter, Elvira needed some attention...Red got his spunk back! LOL
Yea Red acts like the boss but he knows where the sparks meets the metal. LOL
Ol' Yeller sure is movin' along nicely.
Keep 'em comin' Bob...👍🏁

Bob all you have to do is put that entire car together, again. The project that never ends is a Hot Rod.
You gettin it Bob.
Exactly. To me ... hot rodding is doing different things to make it look different and run/drive different. Just have fun with it.
One of the coolest things you do is the paintwork. Love it!
That's what I've been doing all year. Building a cool ride so I could play with the paint. LOL
I've seen you do this to several vehicles. Never get old. she's looking good my friend...
To me, it's the funnest part of the build. Playing with paint!
HELLO, Bob!! Bob, I left you photos of my 1929 Ford, Rat on your Facebook, Brother!! Made with What I learned!!! Thanks Brother!!!
When there is work to be done, ole' Red gets distracted very easily.
That was a cool video Bob. Thanks for sharing.
That black suede technique is cool! You got that down to a T Sir Rat Roddy Bobalinski
Ha haa .. another great nick name. I'll take it!
Next time you overhaul Red, you could make him a black suede hat.
It's great how you put so much work into making parts look like the are just natural steel,. I'm diggin it Bawb, hey to Red and Don.
That rub on silver over the, black technic is one awesome tip Bob.!!!
That is sweet Bob! You sure know “ Rat Rod Paint “. Can’t wait for the body!
It's gonna be GREAT! You don't wanta miss it, ya just don't!
Hey Bawb, Most painters work hard not to have overspray on their work. But here you gone and dunnit on purpose to make it RRB's!!!
Ha haa ... I heard that! Most painters go by the book ... I thru the book out long ago just so I could be different than all the other cars at the car show.
a buddy of mine called his T platinum suede i thought it was hot rod grey LOL love the black suede!!

There aren't enough circuit boards in the world to help Red.

Digging it
Nother good video bawb..
Give Red a extra battery and the keys
Be kinda like a DUI
I like to use rubberize paintable undercoat. arousal. Like heavy duty flexible primer. It's paintable.
Just wishing I was there to help build a engine with ya.... ya know I love a good ford engine
This one has not been a lot of fun ... mixing performance parts with OME parts is not as easy on a SBF as a SBC. But it would be great if I had another set of eyes checking this thing out.

Add a little simulated surface rust with some of that red oxide and clear coat it; or do you let it rust naturally?
Hopefully it won't rust ... I hate rust. Maybe rub on some fake rust. We'll see.
Hey bob! 🔥💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃💀🎃👻🎃👻🎃💀🔥
Looking real good Bob, did you get a new camera, when you was outside with the frame that was some high definition, can’t wait for the engine build, later😀😀
The camera likes more light. Gotta do up the shop with more lights ... next year .. lord willing!
@@RatRodBobBuilds did you get your gift yet
Better than socks on a rooster
Wondering if you could explain how you built your air dryer thought it was good idea love your rat rods
Your not the only one .. so I'll have to make a short video of that real soon!
Have you decided on an exterior color for it yet or will it stay in red oxide??
I'm gonna start with a dark yellow and rub black over that and see what happens.
Not gonna be the bright yellow that was on the radiator shroud.
That's the fun part about building rat rods ... if you don't like it you can change it.
