Fantastic review!! I bought this because of your in depth description. Reached my personal best for a 10k the first time wearing these (42 mins) Thank you!
I had the adrenaline 21. They were great. I went back the next year to get the 22’s. After a few days I noticed they bothered my right foot/ankle. I brought them back and got the new balance 860 v13 which I’ve had over a year. They just work better for me.
Great detail thank you. I train for ultra marathons and have probably used 7 of these in various 18-21 models. They are perfect for me because of the 2E width option. I went to a running shop and did a gait analysis, and was recommended something else initially. I then was recommended these by an online running coach without any analysis and they were way better! thank you for your video now I now understand what I am wearing a lot better!!
Your video was incredibly helpful; it not only improved my understanding of the shoes I use for ultramarathon training, but also reassured me about my choice of the Adrenaline GTS 22 model!
Go-To-Support GTS stands for "Go-To-Support", which for Brooks Running means the use of medial and lateral GuideRails across their stability line. The Adrenaline series was one of the first high level stability shoes to move away from traditional posting a few versions ago, which was a shocking change at the time.Dec 11, 2021
I got these as a gift and they definitely helped me take me running to the next level. Over a year old and only now showing some good wear and tear. Though to be fair I run a 5k bi-weekly (or try!!)
Great video and well explained.I have been using the ghost for a couple of years with fit 4E and it’s super comfortable. Will go for Adrenaline 4E next.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU .. YOU EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCES IN THE BROOKS SHOE ...IVE SEARCHED FOR 3 WEEKS JUST TO FIND A VIDEO EXPLAINING THE DIFFERENCE !!!! HATS OFF TO YOU .. YOU GET IT ..YOU KNOW WHAT PEOPLE SEARCH TO FIND ..INFO DETAILS ON WHAT TYPE BROOKS EACH NAME DOES OMG I CANNOT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH !!
This was so helpful, thank you so much. I just found out after years of running, That I overpronate when I run. After running nearly 150 miles between January and February, I overstrained my right leg. The DR. told me I need to get a running shoe with arch support or as I am learning from this Video GTS. All the research I have done for the last few weeks was leaning me towards the Brooks 22 adrenaline. This video has convinced me. I like to support local MD. businesses, you can Consider me a new customer. 😊
8:11 the first shoe in brooks family that utilizes the guiderails system was Transcend 1, the successor to Trance 12 which was one of the better traditional stability shoes I've worn. Brooks marketed Transcend pretty heavily and told people that was the new age of stability, but the whole Transcend line just never felt good to me. On a side note, IMO the concept of stability guiderails was really first introduced by Hoka, they just never promoted it in anyway and called their shoes neutral. Early Hokas were very narrow and have a deeper "bucket" design, so it had that natural medial support if your feet were to overpronate and crush into the bucket walls. I had some severe flat feet and overpronation issues before my surgeries, and really could notice whether a shoe really had good medial stability or not. Really appreciate shoetubers who actually know and emphasize the importance of stability 'cause most popular shoetubers are just people with normal feet who don't know how it feels like to have overpronation issues.
Good review. Most of my running shoes are neutral, i don’t have an overpronation issue but my ankle is weak due to repeated severe sprains. I find these comfortable to run on despite heavier than my other neutral shoes. Sometimes, just a slight misalignment of the insole or sockliner inside my other shoes will cause ankle pain. I am beginning to like my Adrenaline gts22
Just bought a pair of these on sale because the 23’s are out now. I’ve been using Saucony Omni for the last 3 years and I only wish I’d tried Brooks earlier. Very smooth and comfy from the 1st run and I’m a huge fan of the colour options too.
Glad to hear! The Adrenaline is a much better shoe for walking than the Launch. It has the softer DNA Loft cushioning compared to the DNA Flash cushioning. And it is more supportive compared to the Launch.
i constantly viewing this channel...big respect that owner is so enthusiastic and knows the running subject....unfortunately i cant buy as they not ship overseas...and still size ranhe is not wide....
Big time supinator here. Finding out this fact quick based on wear pattern on my other shoes. I now have NB FF x860 v12s, and today I picked up these Adrenaline GTS 22s. Gonna learn fast which shoe was the wrong purchase. Im okay with burning the money to figure out why my knee is on fire after jogging 2 miles. :(
@@KarlFernandezDOP Well. I ran 2.5 miles outside in my Nike Invincibles on Friday night. Was my 1st run in them in a week - the last time I felt IT band pain from running in them. The pain came back. I took Saturday off. Stretched my achilles and TFL/IT band.. did some glute exercises. Today was my first run in the GTS 22s, on a treadmill. Honestly it felt pretty dang good. I was more conscious to land on my midfoot, emphasizing to make contact with the inside of the front ball of my foot knowing the outside/supination heel action is what is aggravating my knee/IT band. These shoes definitely make it feel more natural for me to have an even stride. The knee is still a little sore but I was able to go 2.5 miles straight without having to stop due to pain. I'll continue taking it easy to nurse my knee - it usually takes about a week for the soreness to fade when I aggravate it. As far as the New Balances go - I'll get back to them eventually. The real test for me will be to take them outside and get a few miles straight on them to see if they make my knee act up. They both (GTS 22 and NB x860) feel pretty similar, but what I don't know is whether or not the NBs cause me to supinate more.
@@KarlFernandezDOP Just so you get the full picture. I am a new runner, about 2 months in. First thing that happened to me was heel pain from worn out shoes. So I thought I needed max cushion and bought Nike Invincibles. Learned quick with those they hurt my knees. And based on their wear pattern I found out I am supinating. So now I am just kinda testing different shoes to find what works. I should have just had a gait analysis done looking back... as someone could have likely put me in a good shoe from the start. But I am a bit of a bone head and am kinda just figuring this out on my own as I go. :)
@@xbadandy182x good to know. i started running 5 months ago and just did a sub-2 hour marathon 3 weeks ago. i’ve been having IT band pain for a bit though (definitely cause i’ve been adding on mileage too quick). on my right foot i def suffer from some type of over/under pronation. i’ll get medial ankle pain sometimes and try to counteract it by landing on the outer part and that’s when my IT band starts acting up. can’t seem to find a good balance. i might give the GTS 22 a shot (my daily trainer is the brooks glycerin 19 and my racing/tempo shoe is the saucony endorphin speed)
Quick question. I have never owned a pair of Brooks GTS. Can I remove the insole and replace with power steps or is that duplicative and going to over correct?
I like that you spoke about supply issues. I think that will help customers understand more why you can't immediately provide what they want. I have the older version of this shoe, and it was my first running shoe. Cool to know there is a new version.
Was in an accident and temporarily have very stiff and kinda weak ankles plus a knee injury. Just ordered these and from what I've read these should help me walk a bit better
Yes. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS is one of the most supportive shoes in its category. The GTS GuideRails on the Adrenaline helps make the shoe feel nice and supportive for the foot. It is one of our most recommended shoes for people with ankle, knee, or hip issues.
Hi Steve, a question about Brooks models please. What's the difference between the Glycerin GTS models and the Beast / Ariel? Much appreciate an answer. Thank you.
Just bought 4E width. Been using hoka clifton 6 and 7 all this while, was about to pull my trigger for clifton 8 but the width is not the same as previous model. My first Brooks, noticed that most brands carry either grey or black color in 4E.. Not much option in color for wide feet..
You are such a good reviewer. Succinct. Thank you. Ive been using the saucony guide 14 and felt like there's to much posting. I'm considering this now.
Hi bro, Thanks for the video. I have only one problem when running I get pain in shinbone. I'm looking for a soft sole with more sponge at the heels. Is this recommended or do you suggest anything else? I really appreciate your valuable, thank you inputs
Steve hello thanks for this video, I have bought the Brooks Adrelaine GTS 22 in 2E. They are superb!!!!!!!! Simply superb. I have some ball of foot pain( under second toe of my right foot) and I was told that the bestest pair of shoes are like these brooks or something more for forefoot cushioning would be the altra paradigm or altra torin 4.5 plush I tried walking in the HOKA’s but I did not find they comfortable to walk in. If you have to if at all recommend something as wonderful as these BUT with additional forefoot cushioning, what would be your Recommendations pleaseeee?? Thanks a ton Andy
Thanks for watching! The brooks shoe that is the next cushion level up is the Glycerine GTS 19. It is similar to the Adrenaline GTS with more cushion so it is definitely worth a try!
@@RunMoore much appreciated sir!!! I did try the glycerine 22 model and I found they wobbly with my feet not feeling sturdy( guess good support). Thanks a ton Steve, royal salute 👍🙌⭐️
I have been using Asics gel Cumulus. I think the extra support of this shoe will be a help with my plantar fasciitis. Room in the toe box is an issue with me. Would you say if I’m wearing standard width in the Asics I should also go with the standard D width or the 2E. Thank you!
Hi Steve, i need your show option:) I normally wear On cloudgo, Brooks ghost 14 etc. I saw these and really like them. Im just starting to pronate a tad, so this would be my first stability show. Via your comments, its good for everything, which I like. My only issue is the 12m drop. Do you think that would mess with my hips, posture or lower back due to it being 12 m. Does that makes sense.. Thanks sir.
My son loves the Brook shoes he wears a size 11 and a half. He has 3 pair that that are size 4 E and 4 pair that are 2 E what size do I buy him? ( he doesn't know that I'm getting them) for him.. What is a great shoe that I can buy him? And what size do I buy him? Please help me. Thanks Denise M Garner..
Good stuff. I grabbed these last year for my first half marathon and have been running them pretty consistently since. What would you recommend as a similar shoe that offers more response for those faster distance runs?
Awesome job! Another great review, thank you so much. I’m wearing latest Ghost with neutral feel, I like it but too crazy about it. I have 250-300 miles on of fast pace walking. Needing to change it a little. What do you recommend this or some other shoe? Your recommendations are always appreciated! Should
Hi Steve! Thanks for the video. This was very helpful. Would you recommend the Nike Structure 24 or Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 to a beginner looking for a mild stability running shoe?
Aw man, really sold me on these shoes but I was hoping you'd have the all black coloring available in your store. Regardless, I will definitely reccomended your store to anyone looking for shoes! Thank you for the review
Many thanks for your review. I just started running in these in 2E, recommended by my local store, moving from Brooks Divide (8mm). Unfortunately since I've started running in these I've had quite significant pain throughout my feet. I've only done about 20km in them so far so will keep going and see if it changes. Trying to figure out what this could be - do they simply need more breaking in, or whether as only a mild over-pronation coming from a neutral shoe it's the overcorrection you speak of? Or moving back up from a 8mm drop to 12? Who knows..any thoughts appreciated!
Can u please recommend : which one I should get : adrenaline or glicerine ? I have plantar fascia killing me and supination . Thank u . I have Ravenna and tried host 14 , doesn’t work for me
I needed a support pair of Sneakers with a decent amount of cushion for my job at hospital 🏥 12 hour shift , you think I made a good choice? Just ordered these
The Adrenaline is a very supportive and comfortable shoe with a good amount of cushion underneath to keep you protected all day long. I think you made a fantastic choice with that shoe!
Quick one if you can please help, Should I buy GTS 21 or GTS 22? GTS 21 are 30 GBP dearer than the 22, but if I buy it now I am not willing to buy for another year so if you can please share your words on wisdom :)
I got it couple of months back, but my training started giving pains near my knees.. I am not sure if this is because of shoes or something else. I have always used Nike Pegasus before and this shoe feel way different than it.. is there anything I can do to suit it better? I spent quite a fortune to buy these and don't want to let them go
Hi,, thank you of this great review,, a question : i have bunions of both big toes, does this model works well with me ? Or could you recommend any other brand such hoka bondi or so ?!
Brooks have a tendency to run more narrow, especially towards the toes. You could try the adrenaline in a wide. However, hoka and altra are wider cut shoes that allow for more room in the toebox. Specifically, altra is made wide in the toebox and has been a successful brand for our customers with bunions.
Really confused between Ultraboost 21 Vs Ultraboost 22 Vs Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 Vs Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22. I am an overweight person and a mild over pronator. Need to stand/ walk/ jog more than 8 hours in a day. Need an all in one shoe. Please guide.
I am not extremely familiar with Addidas running shoes. However, the Ultraboost are neutral trainers that seem to be on the higher cushion end of shoes that Adidas offers. The Brooks Adrenaline is Brooks' mid cushion stability shoe. Meaning that it has guide rail technology in the shoe that will compensate for both supination and pronation. It is designed to keep you planted on the center of your foot. As for the difference in the numbers (21 vs 22), this is referring to the generation of the shoe. The 22 is the updated version of the 22. There are typically small modifications and improvements made to the shoes in each generation.
I want to get into running. Nothing major, maybe run 15 miles/week. I am flat footed and overpronate. I also have narrow feet. Would this be a good shoe for me? If not, can you recommend me some. Thanks in advance.
This shoe would be a good shoe for someone that overpronates and is starting to get into running. The guide rail technology will compensate for both pronation and supination!
I'm running Chicago in 2 weeks. I did 10 miles in it today. Wasnt my best but I know the support of the crowd will help me in difficult times. Would you recommend this for a Marathon? Can't decide if I want to go with this or Arahi 6.
Only person to answer this is yourself. Only you know how they feel on your feet, and if they are comfortable for you to complete a marathon. Asking another person who has never met you will not give you a good answer
We know plenty of healthcare workers who wear this shoe, it is definitely a good option. If you are someone who needs a max cushion shoe, however, the higher cushion version of this shoe is the Glycerin GTS
I have extremely flat feet so I over Pronate. I wear custom orthotics so would this shoe be good for me? For the past few years I've been wearing the Addictions but they are getting hard to find in my size/width, is this a good transition? Would something like the Dyad be better? I don't run much but I do lots of walking/working out and I stand on concrete/wood all day at work.
Hi! If my left foot is normal width, but my right foot is mild wide. Do I need the wide version of this Adrenaline GTS 22 or I can do with the normal shoe size (without the wide) as this shoe already has a generally wide toe box? My right foot is just mildly wide at the bunion area. Thank you!
When it comes to heel pain, we have found that many people find relief from lowering the heel drop. I would try a pair of Altras, specifically, the Altra paradigm has been successful in alleviating heel pain as it has very soft cushioning and stability!
The Adrenaline 22 is probably our most popular shoe in the store. It fits well and has great stability. However, I prefer the Glycerin GTS. It costs a little more but it is way more cushioned. I put that shoe up against any big fluffy Hoka shoe. If you prefer a stable yet cushioned shoe, go with the Glycerin GTS. If you want lower to the ground and a little firmer, go with the Adrenaline. Hop that helps.
I beg to differ. Adrenaline GTS 22 has minimal to zero support function. Get Glycerin. If you need support, get another brand. Brooks stability features are useless
I typically like to have a shoe with less than 25 miles on them for my races. I would personally buy a new pair just because it would feel that much better underfoot for the longer race.
You can certainly use this for boxing work. I may also suggest two other shoes. The Brooks Launch GTS 9 and the Altra Provision 6. The Launch is like the lighter and faster version of this shoe so might be less clunky than the adrenaline. The Provision has a "balanced cushion" so it is great for lateral. It also has a tremendous outsole for any gym work. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the vid. I bought these shoes today, switching from Ghost I bought yesterday. I have heel, arch, ball of foot pain. Also knee and lower back. Would glycerine be a better option if it is more cushiony?
The Adrenaline has the same amount of cushion as the Ghost, but with added stability or arch support. The Glycerin is like the Ghost but with more cushion. Depending on whether or not your pain is caused by not enough cushion or not enough stability, either option could be better for you than the Ghost. Knee pain usually indicates a need for more stability while the ball of foot pain usually indicates a need for more cushion. To get both more cushion and more stability in a Brooks shoe, I may recommend the Brooks Levitate GTS.
@@RunMoore thank you. I really appreciate your reply. That's a really good recommendation. One heel of my foot seems to move a bit in my new shoes (Adrenaline GTS 22) so I may take it back and get the Levitate instead, except neutral colours don't seem to be available in australia.
They are quite similar shoes, the Glycerin GTS is the max cushion version of the Adrenaline GTS and it runs about a half size smaller than the Adrenaline.
I’ve been waiting for the 22 to drop. I tend to go for cool colors and really like the color of the first one in the video. Is it brighter in person? I have been running in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years (over-pronator with borderline narrow feet and flat feet, bunion on my right foot and mild planter fasciitis right foot). I may try the Hoka Arahi 5. If that one doesn’t agree with me, then its back to the trusty Adrenaline GTS.
@@RunMoore i really live the shoe just wish the toe box was wider. I did purchase a 2E do you think 4E would be better for my wide feet? i never bought shoes wider than 2E
@@RunMoore great info thanks. How do you feel about the Saucony Triumph 19? I was thinking to purchase these also but never tried them. Would you say comparable to the brooks ?
This is my first time buying brooks I am beginner (active ) person trying to pick a good primarily running sometimes gym and everyday use - Issues with current shoe, stress and pain on the big toe area (ASICS gel wide shoe ) ( But I don’t understand why this pain in toe area when I am actually rolling out like supination confused here) So confused between buying Brooks Ghost & Adrenaline 22 My inputs from trial, shoe size 9 regular ( My foot is actually wide but usually regular fits) 1. Ghost 14. - Fits well, neutral no stress on front foot fingers or big toe area, - not much contact at the arch (my foot is slight high arched) - easy going 2. Adrenaline 22 - Snug fit overall, good contact at arch same cushion as ghost - But when I was walking I was feeling pressure on toe area ( Not sure if it was coming from a little walking before going into store ) - like the way it’s designed and look :) -- Design Look and fit wise I liked Adrenaline but NOT sure if that’s the right one for me Any helpful would be greatly appreciated, this my first time buying with this much of research apologies for long message 🙏🏼 Thank you!!
Sounds like the Ghosts feel more comfortable. It is possible that the guide rails in the adrenaline are making the shoe too stiff for you and are possibly contributing to this uncomfortable rubbing on your toe. It may also be that the shoe is not wide enough so I would recommend trying a wider width!
I heard you mention Adrenalines are some of the most Brooks shoes you sell... I had very serious over-pronation... I seriously ' Loved ' the Beast 16s... They were perfect in every way... But after wearing couple pairs for two years ( alternating shoes every week & 1500 miles later ) Over-Pronation was completely healed / corrected... Plus I never experienced Plantar Fasciitis while using Beast 16s. I wanted to buy more Beast but sales person said that's not advisable because media posts & support would now cause foot to role outside / supinate... So I bought many, many different models & styles of road & trail shoes: lots of Hokas & few different Brooks... I have both Adrenaline GTS 21 & just got 22... Overall shoes feel Great, But forefoot / toes feels like there's nothing there, like my toes are dangling in mid air over cliff. So STRANGE never felt that In any shoes before... Heel feels very comfortable with lots of cushion & support... The forefoot & toes feel like there's no cushion & it's just bare... So I was wondering, what do you think about Glycerin 19 GTS & Addiction 15 GTS as an alternative until Beast 22 comes out later this year? Brooks Glycerin GTS 19 38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop DNA Loft midsole Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 & 22 36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop BioMoGo midsole DNA Loft foam in the heel Glyerin GTS 19 Higher Stacked Height in Heel 2mm & Especially in Forefoot 4mm, is what I needed...
Hey there, if you are looking for a bit more cushion I would check out the Glycerin GTS 19. The Glycerin GTS is essentially the running version of the Beast and has been very popular and successful in-store.
@@RunMoore I'm in the store trying the Glycerin GTS 19s on... Surprisingly the midsole feels better but toe box on my left foot feels little too snug... My big toe is rubbing against medial / inside of shoe... Never felt that before... There's enough room in front of all toes... Rest of shoe feels very good... The Glycerin GTS 19 feels way more supportive than the Adrenaline GTS 21... The Glycerin GTS 19 was replacement for Trancesend... Hopefully Beast 21 with GuideRails when it comes out will provide same level of cushion & support as earlier versions of Beast prior to 20s... But inside / media GuideRail will need to be firm enough to provide motion control should over-pronation be excessive... Thanks for suggesting Glycerin GTS 19... I had max cushion insole custom made to fit my feet in store... Other than little tight on left foot ( big toe rubbing little against the side / medial edge of shoe ), they do feel great.. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Purchased shoe & Custom Insole... Thanks for your time... Thanks for your suggestion... Thanks for your personal interest... 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 I'm going to Alternate between: Glycerin GTS 19 Adrenaline GTS 22 Brooks Glycerin GTS 19 38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop DNA Loft midsole Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 & 22 36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop BioMoGo midsole And see which one I keep... Maybe both... The Higher Stack Height & Lower Drop of Glycerin Seems to be enough of difference to make it feel better... Glycerin Heel 2mm higher & Toe 4 mm higher ( with 2mm less drop ) G: 38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop A: 36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop For pivotal / lateral movements the Adrenaline seems more stable... Glycerin GTS 19, even with GuideRails seems a little soft on lateral / outside edge & could possibly be easier to roll ankle if landed Off kilter on uneven payment, trail or on small rock or acorn or anything on medial / inside part of sole that would cause foot to tilt outward... While sitting down and foot placed squarely on floor, just moving ankle slightly to outside is very easy in Glycerin GTS 19... Not so with Adrenaline GTS 22
Just ordered me a pair should ship next week 12.09 You're the only full review... Curious? I use shoes like this for what they're designed for, walking or running... I'd like to know, if use in gym & use shoes for leg press where pushing ( 80 to 200 lbs ) more than your body weight or toe raises, where forefoot is in contact & push lots of weight, would that cause midsole cushion to prematurely wear out & fail? I'd like to wear them for everything in the gym including cycling on Stationary upright, Encumbent, Treadmill & all strength, resistance & leg press & toe raises... So if leg presses or toe raises could significantly shorten life span, then I won't use them in gym... Thanks for sharing... What's difference other than support in Adrenaline GETS 22, Glycerin GTS 19 or 20 & the Levitate GTS 5? P.S... You mentioned Guide Rails are good for side to side work. Does that mean Guide Rails helps foot / ankles from rolling to either side? Thanks for mentioning Adrenaline GTS Is basically the Ghost with Guard Rails... So as mentioned earlier what would be difference between Adrenaline GTS, Glycerin GTS & Levitate GTS? Adrenaline GTS 22 : 12 Heel Drop Glycrrin GTS 19 : 10 Heel Drop Levitate GTS 5 : 8 Heel Drop Is larger / higher heel drops better for heel strikers... I'm a very heavy / focused heel striker... And used to have serious over-pronation... I bought several ( 6 pairs of Beast 16 when 1st came out ) & rotated between two pairs every few days... Each shoe lasted more than 700+ miles... For total of 1500 miles for two pair... The running shoe store took videos of my foot with shoes on & barefoot & over-pronation was very visible... After 1500 miles in the two pairs of shoes I went to get new pair of shoes even I still had 4 brand new pairs of Beast 16... When they did video again of me walking on Treadmill with shoes & bstefoot... All over-pronation was completely gone which was good news... Bad news is they said I shouldn't use my Beast 16s or Beast 20s because support in shoe would cause me to supinate ( roll outward )... Beast are ' motion control ' GTS shoes are max, non-invasive support shoes ( meaning, if need support Guide Rails are there when needed, if not needed, there's no interference in gait )... Enjoyed your video I'm going to subscribe, like & checkout your other videos...
Using them for a leg press workout will compress the midsole in the same way that standing for long periods of time will; but this likely won't significantly decrease their lifespan, since leg press workouts tend to be short bursts.
@@RunMoore Thanks for quick response... Leg press & toe raise exercises aren't so no much a concern as is the additional weight... Body weight plus an additional 50 to 200 lbs... I'll buy brand new pair of shoes & test them see how long last before midsole cushion goes limp
These shoes are comfortable and good. I like them but the stability function of the guardrails are absolutely useless. If you really need stability, look elsewhere. I realised that the American Podiatry Medical Association (APMA) approved version 21 and 23 but not 22. And I got the 22. No wonder I am finding it a little disappointing in performance.
I have more than 10 running shoes. Adrenaline 22 is no different from the cheapest ones I have with a rather dead midsole with minimal rebound. Try Hoka Clifton 9 Rincon 3 or NB Rebel v3 if you want something comfortable and responsive. Adrenaline 22 was a great disappointment. Overpriced and mediocre at best.
I use this shoe for work. Walking, standing etc. The best feeling and most comfortable I have ever owned. Expensive but worth it.
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
I use this shoe for roofing very comfortable unless it’s very steep metal roof I have to use the vans for the grip which are so uncomfortable
you should try the pegasus 39's. its really nice
I know it is two years later, but would you still recommend this shoe? Is it better than crocs?
Thanks for watching!
Your video was incredibly helpful; it not only improved my understanding of the shoes I use for ultramarathon training, but also reassured me about my choice of the Adrenaline GTS 22 model!
I've run in a lot of different shoes over 35 years. The Adrenaline is my all time favorite. Great review once again.
It's a great shoe. Thanks for watching!
Go-To-Support
GTS stands for "Go-To-Support", which for Brooks Running means the use of medial and lateral GuideRails across their stability line. The Adrenaline series was one of the first high level stability shoes to move away from traditional posting a few versions ago, which was a shocking change at the time.Dec 11, 2021
I though it meant “go-to-shoe”. Hahah. As in it’s the one you go to for a run.
I'm sure you will love it!

Thank you for watching! I hope the Adrenalines work out well for you.
Thanks for supporting the channel! The Adrenaline is one of our most popular models. It's nice to hear you like your Brooks!
Do they run true to size
I don’t run but walk a lot. It’s April 2024. The last two years I wore Brooks Launch 8’s. I just got these and they feel even better.
Glad to hear! The Adrenaline is a much better shoe for walking than the Launch. It has the softer DNA Loft cushioning compared to the DNA Flash cushioning. And it is more supportive compared to the Launch.
Can't wait until Glycerin GTS 20 comes out with Loft V3, basically same midsole material like Aurora-BL
I've managed to get 800 mile out of my adrenaline 2020's. This review, has sealed the deal, I'm gonna get them for Christmas.
Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
800 miles that’s crazy
Same with mine and that includes a few Spartan races. I still wear them around and they are actually still comfortable, albeit ugly at this point.
@@joshuaslye783 same. I just where them to walk around in and stuff.

One of the best shoe reviewers I’ve seen
Hey, thank you! I really appreciate it.
Adrenaline killing it with the color ways!
Yes, finally! I am really digging the Blue/India Ink/Nightlife color way.
Indeed! Thanks for watching.
It’s a 👀 🔥
Big time supinator here. :(
I would love an update on this. I tried the GTS 21 and the 860v12 at a store a few weeks ago and I liked the feel of the 860v12.
Hopefully, you find your perfect pair. The guide rail technology in the adrenaline 22 is great for people who supinate!
Thank you for watching!
@@RunMoore awesome can't wait, and they make an alright running shoe
Brooks adrenaline vs glycerin gets 20 what’s different, is it more comfy on glycerin gets
I have some ball of foot pain( under second toe of my right foot) and I was told that the bestest pair of shoes are like these brooks or something more for forefoot cushioning would be the altra paradigm or altra torin 4.5 plush
I tried walking in the HOKA’s but I did not find they comfortable to walk in. If you have to if at all recommend something as wonderful as these BUT with additional forefoot cushioning, what would be your
Recommendations pleaseeee??
Thanks a ton

Thanks for watching! The brooks shoe that is the next cushion level up is the Glycerine GTS 19. It is similar to the Adrenaline GTS with more cushion so it is definitely worth a try!
@@RunMoore much appreciated sir!!! I did try the glycerine 22 model and I found they wobbly with my feet not feeling sturdy( guess good support). Thanks a ton Steve, royal salute 👍🙌⭐️
Really great, detailed review. Ordering mine tomorrow!
which do you think is better adrenaline gts 22 or launch gts 9?
What shoes do you recommend if you do need your foot to be thrown to the outside? I just need medial posting.

Is it good for walking?I have an over pronation issue while walking, is it gonna be good for me?
I have a question are these made in America and If not where are they made
No, they are made in Vietnam
great review this really helped me I have major feet problems
So glad to hear that, thanks for watching.
Is this a good sneaker for people with high arches? I normally wear the Glycerin Series
Is this a good show for custom foot orthodics
Many thanks for your review. I just started running in these in 2E, recommended by my local store, moving from Brooks Divide (8mm). Unfortunately since I've started running in these I've had quite significant pain throughout my feet. I've only done about 20km in them so far so will keep going and see if it changes. Trying to figure out what this could be - do they simply need more breaking in, or whether as only a mild over-pronation coming from a neutral shoe it's the overcorrection you speak of? Or moving back up from a 8mm drop to 12? Who knows..any thoughts appreciated!
It is likely moving from a neutral to a stability shoe is your issue, since the difference in the drop is not drastic.
Will this shoe work for someone with fairly flat feet?
Can you use a full lenghth orthotic with it?
Can u please recommend : which one I should get : adrenaline or glicerine ? I have plantar fascia killing me and supination . Thank u . I have Ravenna and tried host 14 , doesn’t work for me
Plantar fascitis, get low heel drop shoes. Saucony Kinvara or Altra shoes. Not these.
Thank u !
Gotta support Maryland small business. Thanks for the video.
I got it couple of months back, but my training started giving pains near my knees.. I am not sure if this is because of shoes or something else. I have always used Nike Pegasus before and this shoe feel way different than it.. is there anything I can do to suit it better? I spent quite a fortune to buy these and don't want to let them go
My feet 27.5cm long, what size should i pick?
thoughts on this shoe vs Clifton 8?
Any difference between this model and the old one Adrenaline GTS 21?
There is more DNA loft midsole for a softer and more responsive landing. It also has a better constructed upper that is lighter weight.
I wish they had these in the neon green color
Brooks is constantly dropping new colors!
Please reply
@@RunMoore THANK YOU
When is Brooks going to drop the limited/special edition colors?
That's a great question, not quite sure with the supply chain issues could be a few months.
Yes, no doubt! I always wait for the limited/special edition colors. Nothing in the current lineup floats my boat.
For working in a hospital, is it comfortable enough?
We know plenty of healthcare workers who wear this shoe, it is definitely a good option. If you are someone who needs a max cushion shoe, however, the higher cushion version of this shoe is the Glycerin GTS
I have extremely flat feet so I over Pronate. I wear custom orthotics so would this shoe be good for me? For the past few years I've been wearing the Addictions but they are getting hard to find in my size/width, is this a good transition? Would something like the Dyad be better?
I don't run much but I do lots of walking/working out and I stand on concrete/wood all day at work.
The Brooks Beast would be probably the ideal transition, but a wide Adrenaline would likely provide similar comfort.
Hi! If my left foot is normal width, but my right foot is mild wide. Do I need the wide version of this Adrenaline GTS 22 or I can do with the normal shoe size (without the wide) as this shoe already has a generally wide toe box? My right foot is just mildly wide at the bunion area. Thank you!
Brooks are notoriously narrow and we always like to size to the larger foot so I would recommend getting the wide. Having extra space doesn't hurt!
I really need to find a shoe for support for work under my heel is hurting. I can’t find my size. What would you recommend for shoes?
When it comes to heel pain, we have found that many people find relief from lowering the heel drop. I would try a pair of Altras, specifically, the Altra paradigm has been successful in alleviating heel pain as it has very soft cushioning and stability!
Can you suggest between Brooks glysrine gts 20 or Brooks adrninal gts 22
The Adrenaline 22 is probably our most popular shoe in the store. It fits well and has great stability. However, I prefer the Glycerin GTS. It costs a little more but it is way more cushioned. I put that shoe up against any big fluffy Hoka shoe. If you prefer a stable yet cushioned shoe, go with the Glycerin GTS. If you want lower to the ground and a little firmer, go with the Adrenaline. Hop that helps.
@@RunMoore Thank you so much I have ordered Brooks glysrine gts 20 on your suggestion
@@RunMoore And I have also ordered Gel kayano 28 as I got very good discount deal on it I hope 🤞 I have made the right purchase
I beg to differ. Adrenaline GTS 22 has minimal to zero support function. Get Glycerin. If you need support, get another brand. Brooks stability features are useless
An awesome explanation.
Are they true to size?
I recently bougth the adrealine gts 22 4 months before my first marathon. Will the shoes still be in great conditions to run the marathon? Salute 🫡🔥
I typically like to have a shoe with less than 25 miles on them for my races. I would personally buy a new pair just because it would feel that much better underfoot for the longer race.
Is this shoe also good for boxing work??
You can certainly use this for boxing work. I may also suggest two other shoes. The Brooks Launch GTS 9 and the Altra Provision 6. The Launch is like the lighter and faster version of this shoe so might be less clunky than the adrenaline. The Provision has a "balanced cushion" so it is great for lateral. It also has a tremendous outsole for any gym work. Thanks for watching.
Is there another Brooks compatible to Adrenaline? I need new shoes!
The Glycerin GTS and Levitate GTS are both high cushion options that have the same stability as the Adrenaline.
Excellent review.
Thanks for watching!
Any significant differences between the 21 and 22?
There is more DNA loft midsole for a softer and more responsive landing. It also has a better constructed upper that is lighter weight.
@@RunMoore Thank you!!
@@peonypink7943 Best of luck!
Would love to see a vs with glycerin gts
They are quite similar shoes, the Glycerin GTS is the max cushion version of the Adrenaline GTS and it runs about a half size smaller than the Adrenaline.
Is this shoe good for custom orthotics?
Yes, all running shoes have removable insoles to accommodate custom orthotics,
Bought these shoes coz of your review!
If that one doesn’t agree with me, then its back to the trusty Adrenaline GTS.

the toe box looks narrow or is it just me?
Brooks are notoriously narrow, but the 22 is not any more narrow than the previous iteration.

This is my first time buying brooks
I am beginner (active ) person trying to pick a good primarily running sometimes gym and everyday use
- Issues with current shoe, stress and pain on the big toe area (ASICS gel wide shoe ) ( But I don’t understand why this pain in toe area when I am actually rolling out like supination confused here)
So confused between buying
Brooks Ghost & Adrenaline 22
My inputs from trial, shoe size 9 regular ( My foot is actually wide but usually regular fits)
1. Ghost 14.
- Fits well, neutral no stress on front foot fingers or big toe area,
- not much contact at the arch (my foot is slight high arched)
- easy going
2. Adrenaline 22
- Snug fit overall, good contact at arch same cushion as ghost
- But when I was walking I was feeling pressure on toe area
( Not sure if it was coming from a little walking before going into store )
- like the way it’s designed and look :)
-- Design Look and fit wise I liked Adrenaline but NOT sure if that’s the right one for me
Any helpful would be greatly appreciated, this my first time buying with this much of research apologies for long message
🙏🏼 Thank you!!
Sounds like the Ghosts feel more comfortable. It is possible that the guide rails in the adrenaline are making the shoe too stiff for you and are possibly contributing to this uncomfortable rubbing on your toe. It may also be that the shoe is not wide enough so I would recommend trying a wider width!
excellent, thank you
Thank you for watching!
Don’t like that heel to toe drop. Own a few from Brooks and I’d probably own more but 10-12 mm drop is a no go.
Thanks for watching. Everyone has a different preference for heel drop, it is important to figure out what works best for you.
I heard you mention Adrenalines are some of the most Brooks shoes you sell...
I had very serious over-pronation...
I seriously ' Loved ' the Beast 16s...
They were perfect in every way...
But after wearing couple pairs for two years ( alternating shoes every week & 1500 miles later )
Over-Pronation was completely healed / corrected...
Brooks Glycerin GTS 19
38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop
DNA Loft midsole
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 & 22
36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop
BioMoGo midsole
DNA Loft foam in the heel
Glyerin GTS 19
Higher Stacked Height in Heel 2mm & Especially in Forefoot 4mm, is what I needed...
Hey there, if you are looking for a bit more cushion I would check out the Glycerin GTS 19. The Glycerin GTS is essentially the running version of the Beast and has been very popular and successful in-store.

I'm in the store trying the Glycerin GTS 19s on...

I'm going to Alternate between:
Glycerin GTS 19
Adrenaline GTS 22
Brooks Glycerin GTS 19
38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop
DNA Loft midsole
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 & 22
36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop
BioMoGo midsole
And see which one I keep...
Maybe both...
The Higher Stack Height & Lower Drop of Glycerin Seems to be enough of difference to make it feel better...
Glycerin Heel 2mm higher & Toe 4 mm higher ( with 2mm less drop )
G: 38 heel : 28 forefoot : 10 drop
A: 36 heel : 24 forefoot : 12 drop
For pivotal / lateral movements the Adrenaline seems more stable...
Just ordered me a pair should ship next week 12.09
You're the only full review...
Thanks for mentioning
Adrenaline GTS Is basically the Ghost with Guard Rails...
So as mentioned earlier what would be difference between Adrenaline GTS, Glycerin GTS & Levitate GTS?
Adrenaline GTS 22 : 12 Heel Drop
Glycrrin GTS 19 : 10 Heel Drop
Levitate GTS 5 : 8 Heel Drop
Is larger / higher heel drops better for heel strikers...
@@RunMoore
Thanks for quick response...
Leg press & toe raise exercises aren't so no much a concern as is the additional weight...
Body weight plus an additional 50 to 200 lbs...
I'll buy brand new pair of shoes & test them see how long last before midsole cushion goes limp
I just bought a pair
Hope you love them!
@@RunMoore very new to 5ks so hope so too
These shoes are comfortable and good.
What about the newest 23?
Just some feedback - I feel like you’re trying to sell me this shoe when I watch this.
