Happy Wife, Happy Life is not true. With most wives, happiness is up one day, down the next. Twice in my first 10 years of marriage I made two decisions that I wasn’t wild about but I knew would make her happy. Both times were a big mistake. I wish I had listened to my inner voice. Since then, I make decisions on what I believe are in the best interest of the family and future. Most of the time my wife was looking one step ahead while I was looking three or four steps down the road. Now I get pushback in the beginning and thanks as time goes by.
My ex wife wanted us to live next to her parents saying it would be great and we'd have a lot of money down the road but her dad and I butt heads and she began the disrespect. Even though id been raised by a classic old school Bible 1st Ma!, may she rest in peace 🕊️ , then got adopted by a ma whose heavy into that happy wife happy life crap. Needless to say when shes unhappy .. the whole household had to be on eggshells,. I got married, 18 months , tried emulating that nonsense and was totally miserable. it was over and been divorced 10 years now. A tough but extremely valuable lesson, i will never in life marry someone who thinks like rhar and is not open the Lord's word regarding marriage and the roles we're truly meant to follow according to the word
