As a fan of figure skating and ice dancing, and as I figure skater myself, I was very shocked to hear the news about what happened with piper. Her and Paul have been an inspiration for me for so many years, and I’ve always looked up to them, so if anything were to happen to her, I don’t know what I would’ve done, she is the strongest person I know and I hope she continues fighting and telling her story and just being over all the amazing person that she is
I wasn't expecting this news from Piper last sunday and it was heartbreaking. I love and admire Piper and Paul so much and I felt really sad when I heard she had had an appendectomy. Now, I'm even more sad, because it was so much more serious than "just" an appendectomy. At the same time, I'm happy that Piper is happy, healthy and skating. I'm happy that Carol and Nathan convinced her to go to the doctor. I'm happy that she's raising awareness and teaching us all. Thank you, Piper. Keep shining 💖🌟💖🌟 Thank you @TheSocialCTV for speaking about ovarian cancer and for giving Piper a safe place to talk about it. Thank you, Dr. Sheila, for teaching us more about it. Love from Portugal
I did not know there was an ovarian cancer awareness day. I know that September is the awareness month. Thank you for sharing this as another opportunity to put information out for something we don't hear that very often. My mother passed away of ovarian cancer so I tried to stay attuned opportunities to tell other people about it. So many people falsely assume that pap tests test for this and of course they don't.

Advocating for yourself in any medical situation has to be normalized. Stand up for yourself 💪🏻
